Well, no. Freddie's voice wasn't "there" until the 70s lol. You can hear some performances (live and studio recorded) under his stage name, Larry Lurex. These were the late 60s, 68, 69, and MAYBE 67 if you search hard enough. He definitely was not always the greatest singer of all time if that did not already seem apparent. Even Roger Taylor talked about his voice and worked with him on it in the late 60s.
@@Rosa-ho6jw I agree, Fressie is good but MJ is just perfect for me, like he had so much energy in his concerts and his voice and vocals were awesome. King of pop :3
I had this conversation with my Mom the other day. Not that I wish death upon anyone, but for the legacy of Queen it was good. Alot of bands from this era that are still performing have tarnished their legacy, would suck to see that happen with Queen.
To the greatest piano player, lead singer, show man and one of the nicest people of all time: Freddie, you probably never thought your musik would turn generations into Queen Fans who didn't even live when you rocked. But it happened. And that's why we love you, Freddie ❤️
Agreed about Halford, but are you not going to also mention the other two God vocalist in the holy trinity of metal singers, Bruce Dickinson and Ronnie James Dio?
Live Aid is the best vocal performance of Freddie in 80s. He gave his all to prevent Queen from breaking up and absoulietly nailed all the songs. Montreal is very good of Freddie too but Live aid is the best.
Lady ga ga got inspired by Freddy and even got her name by Freddy.! So put down the hate and let’s rejoice as Queen fans together ! Freddy is so amazing he touched Lady Ga Ga even!!
If there were two people gone to soon that I could just see live would be Hendrix and mercury this guy to this day in 2024 has no equal in crowd work and outright skill on any instrument and vocals
I wonder who influenced who??? Clearly Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury had some similarities in performance. Although I am a huge Michael Jackson fan and my father worshipped him I would think that Michael was influenced by Freddie because I see how Michael danced with his guitarist and Freddie does the same but I would believe that Freddie had a real relationship with Brian that formed over the years so the chemistry was organic where as Michael met Jennifer later on in life and they didn’t have the same relationship that Freddie would have with Brian. Also I see how Freddie was humping the stage and I would assume Michael pulled that from him as well also using moves from James Brown and others. I’m a fan of all the above so I don’t care just curious as to who did it first????
Maybe goosebumps for some people, surprisingly I am a huge Queen fan but don't often get goosebumps from them... a few rare moments but oh well. I enjoy them just as much. Its normally when Freddie is singing a meaningful line or something. I don't get them from most musicians because their lyrics mean nothing to me (can't understand them half the time!)

But then they would’ve never lived, darlin.
Burned to bright.
Who wants to live forever?

No one can perform like Queen and becoma a front vocalist of a band like freddie❣️
No all are best 😍
You said it otherwise. It should have been:
No one can perform like freddie and become a front vocalist of a band like queen
Mj can perform better
Layne staley can

There's sooooo many stuff we can't get from today's music's, Freddy is without doubt one of the greatest vocalists
Yeep
He’s the greatest
More like THE absolute best of all time. No one can actually compare to him in his prime lol
THE greatest*
cough cough michael jackson lol both good freddie definitely sure in the hell had a stronger and wider vocals range lol
The star that shines twice as bright lives half as long
Why did he need to go so young! He would have still been killing it right up until now! What a true martyr and legend of rock n roll

With the amount of cigarettes freddie smoked. I dont understand how he had that amazing voice.
I cried after he sang the first note

His voice is so comforting. I grew up listening to almost all of Queen’s albums. Freddie’s voice feels like home.
Queen were the best band of their time, and now and I don't see anyone in the future that could possibly beat them.
He OWNS that stage
Freddie mercury has some of the most impressing vocals I’ve ever heard
Freddie should be in 'the greatest showman'
R.I.P Freddie we still love you ❤️
@Block no michael jackson is overrated
Freddie, Pavarotti, Aretha, and Whitney are the best vocalists of all time
Yes!!!
Rob Halford has gotta be up there too.
Agreed about Halford, but are you not going to also mention the other two God vocalist in the holy trinity of metal singers, Bruce Dickinson and Ronnie James Dio?
Bruce and Dio need to be there as well.
Chester too
I actually got goosebumps 😂😂
Same here.....all over!
SAME MAN
The little move where he throws his head back at 0:37 is legendary stage presence
Hell yeah, like saying," huuph take tht bytch"..
indeed first sentence and i have goosbumps all over my back and arms
GOOSEBUMPS
Theres only one Freddie Mercury.
What a Legend! 👑🎤✊
The musician era. There are no more true musicians these days and it's sad...
If you say this you haven't looked hard enough. Trust me. There are more than ever.
He was such a bad ass🎉
This is a smorgasbord of Freddie's magic 🎩.
Greatest singer/front man of all time
I want to say that 6 of these clips are from the same concert.
He smashed it if he had a good day
Whomever doesn’t think freddie was the most talented and amazing entertainer in history needs some help.

1981 Rock Montreal > 1985 Live Aid
I’m sorry it’s just a fact, both are legendary but Montreal takes the cake
Well you have to remember the set at Montreal was like five times longer. It’s not really a fair fight

Live Aid is the best vocal performance of Freddie in 80s. He gave his all to prevent Queen from breaking up and absoulietly nailed all the songs. Montreal is very good of Freddie too but Live aid is the best.

I like how you say best Freddie live moments yet include a section that's completely overdubbed. Not to mention the fact that Wembley is in there.
