Redragon K556 Devarajas RGB Mechanical Gaming Keyboard has been an absolute favorite of mine!
Aesthetically, I really like the brushed aluminum with the bold RGB lighting. The aluminum construction means that this bad boy is heavy as heck and more durable than your classic Dell membrane keyboard.
The Redragon K556 comes standard with brown equivalents that are a great balance between reds and blues (You have to give these a try for yourself, I love them but Jack hates them). This keyboard is hot-swappable and they include the tools to swap things and some extra switches.
The RGB lighting I way brighter than any other Redragon keyboard that we have reviewed. All the RGB lighting can be controlled via the keyboard to cycle through the 18 different modes, change brightness, and change the speed of the effects. They do have software for this keyboard but I really didn't find it helpful or necessary unless you will be using MACROS.
Overall, I think this keyboard will be hard to beat on the value meter... I love the look, performance, and most importantly, the price!

Nice vid! I've had the "round key" variant of this for a couple years as my first mechanical keyboard, and I'm super happy with it! One little hitch with the "hot swappable" part, since Outemu switches have thinner pins than official Cherry MX switches, the pin holes are too tight to fit any other brand than those made by Gaote (Outemu, Akko, or Redragon).
Fortunately Akko switches are high-quality inexpensive options, if you want something other than the basic Red/Blue/Black/Brown options.

Have had the K556 for quite a while now. The keyboard is build like a tank and feels amazing for typing and gaming. Well worth the money, you would have to pay at least twice as much to get similar build quality from many of the other brands.

Would the backlighting options be saved when the computer is shut down and then booted back up again? I once had a keyboard with a default lighting scheme that was very distracting, switched to a more nuanced lighting option, then when I started my computer up it went back to the distracting default lighting scheme.
How's the durability on the keycaps? I've gone through two keyboards and the paint on the edges of the S and D keys have started to wear out. Are they ABS (cheaper) or PBT (more durable)? What is the molding type (I'm probably seeking Double Shot if possible)?

I’ve heard that the keyboard now has redragon’s (presumably) mid-af switches. Was that true or was it just a competitor’s misinformation campaign?
Need help, i know this is an older video but, i got this keyboard and messed it up somehow.... so all my keys that need the FN key works without that key now, so like my capLk changes my color, and my arrows changes the brightness and different modes all without me pressing the FN ... please cant figure it out lol
