This is incredible! Im not gonna lie, im not a fan of Hybrid vehicles since they're mostly for fuel economy, which im a performance guy (i drive a 2001 Celica GTS 6MT!), But this RAV4 Prime is kinda starting to change my perspective on Hybrids, and i feel more open to them, and understanding their purpose! Thanks Toyota, you guys will always be the brand i love to represent 🚘❤
@@toyotausa 2021 Toyota tech can't touch 2018 Hyundai tech. Yes, I miss my Tucson that I gave up for this crazy. Grass isn't really greener on the other side.
Now you just need to make enough of them to satisfy the US demand...there's huge waiting lists and some dealers are adding on huge markups over MSRP due to the low supply levels.
It's not a bug, it's a feature: Toyota did something similar with its rollout of the Prius over a decade ago in order to gin up consumer interest, demand, and the price.
This is a vehicle that is really stunning!! I wish they could soon offer prime on other Toyota models, increasing higher demands in different class segments and help further improve customer satisfaction ratings!!
If they include Toyota tech in a plug-in Highlander it'll be just as incredibly underwhelming as the Rav4 prime. Hyundai tech absolutely blows Toyota off the map, and I've never considered myself a "brand loyal" type but I'm team Hyundai (I miss my 2018 Tucson) all day.
Trust me, as someone who gave up a 2018 Tucson for one, you're not missing much. The only pros for this compared to the Tucson are: gas mileage (obviously), acceleration, and 2 additional inches of ground clearance. Tucson SMOKES the Toyota in every other possible way: 2021 Toyota tech isn't in the same hemisphere as 2018 Hyundai, the myhyundai app actually works, the "premium" sound system in the Toyota is average. Hi Yong, thank you for your post. We apologize and understand your frustration with the availability of the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime in your area. Vehicle options and configurations vary by dealer and region. We recommend continuing to work with your local dealer for inventory availability. ^BP
I wanted to buy. But after I hear that no quick charger option (about 20min etc) in the electric charger station, I give up to buy Rav4 Plug in Hybrid. No body dont talk about that. But I think absent to quick charge option is biggest problem. Most of the people don't want to wait 2.5 hour in overseas countries and 5 hours in Japan. It is not best. Mitsubishi eclipse cross Phev has quick charger option and 10000 dolar cheaper than rav4 phev.
Hello Sahil, thank you for your interest in the Toyota RAV4 Prime. Our apologies, but you have reached Toyota USA. Please visit www.toyota-global.com/select_region/ to locate the nearest distributor. ^BP

Toyota would like to make BEV’s but they have a better shortage so they can only make a profit by making a bunch of hybrids. Toyota you have potential and money-INVEST IN BATTERY TECHNOLOGY
A Super Speedy Hybrid is a Contradiction In Terms.. I own a loaded 21' Hybrid Limited because I want ECONOMY.. why would I spend 50K on the Prime to go racing? you'll just tear it up.. wear out the internals quick as $hit.. I just cruise it like Grand Mama.. breaking it in nice and easy.. it will last.. and run as smooth as the day I bought it. And.. ITS A HYBRID ! you buy them for MPG and to go Green.. Not 0-60 in 5.x seconds..:-)
There are plenty of performance oriented hybrids. Electric motors add torque that engines can't compete with. If it's not the car for you then don't buy it, but there is a market for it.
@@matthewdoyle8644 If it's going to last, their warranty would show it. Here in Canada, their warranty covers the car for 3 years for major drivetrain... whereas Mitsubishi covers for 10. Rav 4's are just as prone to issues as any other car out there.

Make MORE of them please! I have already visited more than 4 dealerships across california, oregon, seattle. Zero inventory available! :(
