Jumping+4 is also a good use of a lvl4 deco. It gives you the the +2 levels of evade extender that will be just perfect and you can keep your precious lvl2 slots for crit boost and wex.
@@yodhaadhitya1886 what? Its good on HBG because the roll distance is increased dramatically. I don't think i ever seen any LBG user use Evade Extender
i feel like evade extender on spread is at least a B if not A, for the same reason as ballistics being an A. Being able to more quickly get back into range is v nice.
I very much second this. The difference that Evade Extender 1 makes is HUGE. It feels almost mandatory for Spread not just for closing distance fast but also for avoiding attacks since you're always right up in a monster's face. It also makes Quickstep Evade substantially better, which is good because Quickstep Evade is far more optimal than the standard roll now that its damage window is much larger.
Yes especially if you not too keen tackle on stuff evade extender + side step is a way to go for reposition just 2 level you can easily side step to the head or tail... very easily just attack before dodge left / right it become side step instead of fat roll which really quick for reposition or dodge some attack come directly at you Tbh not just spread i'm using extender on all HBG like pierce element / pierce raw too it just feel that good to play in multiplayer when using pierce ammo most of the time monster will not look at you directly and shoot from the side is do crap dmg evade extender just help me to reposition for setting sun either at the head or from tail
For HBG is gd. LBG not so much, since you can just strafe around the monster easily. I would put ballistics at B for LBG. I find that spread with long barrel is enough, likewise for pierce with silencer. The crit ranges are easy to hit, even against afflicted monsters. Ballistics 2 is just overkill imo for LBG.
@@ScorzaZooey I was mainly talking LBG, but the same applies for both. Yes, you can just strafe most things with LBG, but you still end up dodging a lot with Spread, especially given Sunbreak's penchant for big AOEs, high tracking attacks, and throwing giant crown monsters at you left and right. Wyvern Counter also isn't the best answer to everything with Spread since it launches you out of critical distance.
It is worth noting that for Attack boost, you only want lv4. Anything above isn't worth it as the increment is too low. You're better off going for resentment etc.
Thanks Phemeto, for posting the armor sets for the different builds. With such a variety of armors with skills so spread out, it's difficult to find the an optimal set to settle on. At least this points me in the right direction, especially I've been having no luck on getting good charms, except with comfy skills like Stun Resistance LvL 3, and Free Meal LvL 3 with LvL 3, 2, and 1 slots.
Whoa. I had no idea sniper even existed, I've been specifically avoiding Lv4 dango temper because there is too much deviation. Watching my bullets swerve past the monsters head is infuriating. Hi man, I need to ask you a really serious question. In the last part of the video you're playing with Gaismagorm's HBG, firing lv 3 spread ammos (6 per load) while moving. But the same weapon appears to be different in my game, with 8 shots per load and no possibility to move while firing that kind of ammos. Now: 1) there's something I still don't know about this even after 800 hours of gameplay or 2) the same weapons have different stats on Switch version?
@@marcbob1111no man, it's a heavy BG, that's HBG moveset (for example the speed while moving or the tackle to avoid Seregios roar) and that's clearly Goismagorm HBG. I just realized it's a modded version of the game; you can found the complete hunt in the channel and it's specified that's a mod
Spare shot is almost mandatory for pierce I feel because DPS windows with the perfect angle for ticks are precious, that losing any time on that topple even with fastest reload feels like a waste. It's absurd how good rng on spare shot can literally shave minutes off a fight if it blesses you in certain windows as you chain breaks and trips because of the relentless uptime
Agreed. My preference has been spare shot even for spread I think having a minimum one crit boost is fine as the subsequent increment is minor from 30% to 40% max compared to spare shot which goes from 3% L1 to 20% L3 which proc unbelievably often at times.

Element pierce only no rapid fire pierce. I use Rathalos for Fire, Khezu for Thunder, Almudron for Water, and Daora for Ice. All have rapid fire or single fire elements for backup and they all have element pierce which is what your main should be.
I've been using pierce for a while now but I haven't had the time to experiment. Is RF pierce better? and I've been using pierce 3 as well, is pierce 2 better?
RF with pierce is really good since you get a lot out of the damage ticks. Pierce 3 is only good for really large monsters since the higher level means it causes more damage ticks as it passes through them, but pierce 2 is the best for most monsters since aside from the final boss monsters, general monster sizes match the maximum amount of damage ticks it does. Basically, the larger the monster, the higher level pierce ammo you want (with pierce 2 being the best general use pierce ammo)
You don’t need a wex charm you just need an equivalent charm for any 2 level 2 decos you would’ve slotted in. Wex charm was mandatory early on when there were no wex decos.
@@swift-pawedteif386 It does increase dmg actually. If your build can fit it, especially with Peace bringer and kehzu gun because of their extra slots, you should go for it.
It's fine to grab if the final boss legs fit your build anyway but flat raw is significantly less beneficial than flat element. Plus, there are a lot of options for stacking raw that don't constantly tick down your HP.
