BEST Distressed Barn Wood Technique EVER

I developed this staining technique by compiling a lot of ideas that I've seen around and I couldn't be happier with the results. It was exactly the look I was going for in this project.

if you didn't want to burn the wood what could you do to get that blackened look underneath?

You can do a dark stain (black or dark walnut). Then paint a light color of your choice over it. Then sand lightly to a distress level of your liking. Thanks for watching!
