Barry once had a back injury and he said about that … he learned how his lower back was the support for his high notes making them near impossible until he recovered.
More Bee Gees please. Early songs, pre disco, like New York Mining Disaster, I've got to get a message to you, Run to Me, Lonely Days, How can you mend a broken heart and post disco like For Whom the Bell Tolls, I could not love you more, Kiss of Life, Bodyguard...40 plus years of outstanding songwriting and singing. That falsetto sound started in 1975 when The Bee Gees moved to Miami from the UK. They were recording “Nights On Broadway” and their producer was the legendary Arif Mardin. He asked if any of them could “scream in falsetto” to ad lib at the end of the song. He was used to hearing Maurice harmonize in falsetto, but was absolutely stunned by the power of Barry’s high pitched voice. So Barry began using it throughout the song and it became a part of their music from then on. 🙂
You really need some Early BeeGees in your life! Massachusetts, New York Mining Disaster, Lonely Days, Gotta Get a Message to You. Their pre disco catalog is deep and wide!
Great analysis! I grew up with this great group & had a lot of their albums. Most people react to their disco era. My favorites are from the 60's-70's. Some of their early hits were "New York Mining Disaster 1941", "Holiday", "World", "And The Sun Will Shine", "Really & Sincerely", "The Singer Sang His Song", "Lonely Days", "Melody Fair", "First Of May", "I Started A Joke", "I've Gotta Get A Message To You", "Massachusetts", "To Love Somebody" etc.
Jen, if you want to hear their speaking voices, I suggest the 1989 "ONE" interview. They touch on writing songs to perform themselves and writing for others like Diana Ross and Barbra Streisand.
This performance was truly live, and done in one take. The two supporting brothers were fraternal twins, which probably contributed to their harmonizing. The group donated the rights of this song to UNICEF, and it's raised a considerable amount of money for the charity.
The vocals on this song were triple-tracked - meaning each of the three brothers sang their part 3 times (probably more, but 3 takes were used), and those 9 parts were then mixed together for the final song. It's definitely NOT live, but there's also very little other processing - some EQ and some reverb from an echo chamber is likely to be all. By today's standards, it's completely clean. There were no digital effects and even analog effects were minimal at the time.

Yes i brought this up on another reaction video i had a lynch mob in the comments i wasnt trying take anything away from Bee Gees they're great who else has written over 100 top 10 songs? But its a music video and ive heard people talk about that were in studio and it was described just as you said and you can hear it if listen thiers just way more going on than 3 brothers singing live can achieve even as great as they were.
Great reaction Jenn! Barry (the one in the middle) is the only one of the 4 brothers still alive. Please listen to Immortality with Celine Dion. By the way, the Bee Gees wrote their own music. Love ya!
Nice reaction, This is a deep rabbit hole if you decide to do more. The Bee Gee's have over 1,000 copy-written songs that have been recorded. One of the most prolific producers of music EVER.
I think what amazes me is the arrangement it's simply sublime. The vocals are perfect, obviously. But the instruments highlight this by providing counter points and deflections that sound simply amazing 😂❤
Wow. Haven't listened to these guys in a long time. I expect Barry's expression to be much tighter in those very high notes, but he looks so relaxed. Amazing. Thanks for the memories.
Bee Gees were unlike anything we’d ever heard in the late 60s. That sound and harmonies were unmistakable. Glad you’re covering them. They are unique and masterful song writers and performers. The 60/70s will always have my heart, when it comes to music. So much diversity in sound and musical abilities.
I’m so glad you got to this one Jenn, I’m telling my age but you are in my era now! I loved to hear their harmonies! My vocal coach says most people have a jump to falsetto or head voice but I have a canyon! I have used this one and a couple of their other songs to work on my crossover! My voice is so heavy! I speak in the 2nd and upper 1 st octave so pretty heavy! They were also great producers. In Kenny and Dolly’s son Island in the stream, you can hear their vocals in the background of that song. Loved this! Low bass Kenneth.
Barry was the master producer, together with Albhy Galuten & Karl Richardson. Barry sang backing vocals on Islands in the Stream, plus dozens of other songs written for others, but Robin & Mo never did.
Great reaction. I really enjoyed it. The Bee Gees really are special. I think you will have a great time going through there catalog of music that lasted 50+ years. They adapted their sound and song writing to the changing times and it will be interesting to watch you explore and analyze it. 😊
Their voices are incredible. It is even more awe inspiring when you think about it because back then there was no auto tune or the production technology to clean up voices. It is all them. They had to be able to harmonize with each other to produce that sound.
If you would like to hear another masterclass in vocal technique from a female artist of the same era, take a listen to Karen Carpenter singing the Carpenter's version of Superstar.
I don’t know that you care, but I wanted to thank you for this. I’m not a singer but it was so wonderful to better understand WHY I love this song. I mean, it’s a feeling and a vibe, but hearing you explain the mechanics and qualities and uniqueness really helps me to understand how special they are, and why. Lovely to see your physical reaction too. Thank you once again - I am now subscribed!
Another great reaction, Jen! The Bee Gees and Home Free are my two favorite groups; yeah, I love me some harmonies. My favorite Bee Gees songs are post disco and feature their non-falsetto voices - “For Whom The Bell Tolls”, “Wedding Day”, “Angela”, and more. Their rabbit hole goes deeper than HF.
If I actually had to choose just one song, To Love Somebody, would be my favorite. The way Maurice comes in at the end with his ad lib, is absolutely iconic!
Bee Gees born on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 of the coast of Britain 🇬🇧, this performance of ( To Much Heaven) was a children’s charity event for UNICEF and the three brothers donated the proceeds to the charity, Bee Gees the only band in history to have Written, produced, and recorded 6 N01 hits in a row, also they had the best selling album of all time until Michael Jackson brought out his ( Thriller) album, Jackson mentioned his inspiration for his Thriller album came from the Bee Gees, The brothers Gib first and foremost always considered themselves songwriters before being Vocalists, but they are outstanding singers, no Auto Tune in them times just pure talent, the brothers were considered to be one of the best songwriters ever, they have written songs for many famous artists to many to mention and for films,I attended a Bee gees live concert in Las Vegas in 1997 called one night only, The brothers were phenomenal live, the guys have sold over 260 million records worldwide over 6 decades, great reaction thanks 🙏
In a 1989 concert in Australia, they do a medley of songs, and one of them is a natural-voice rendition of Too Much Heaven, without the falsetto gymnastics at the end. You might find that interesting.
The synchronized vibrato/tremolo they can do with their voices is insane. Total vocal control. Absolute mastery. Their earlier stuff was quite different. Not so high pitched.
EXCEPTIONAL REACTION EH!🍁🍁🍁🍁I'm music absent so visually seeing YOU reacting tipped me to focus on somethings I could never discern on my own THANK YOU
Jesus I'm a 52 yr old dude who's listened to this song hundreds of times. Listening to your analysis of them has got me 😢 powerful stuff. Unmatched vocals and harmonies.
Jen, this is my first time to your channel, and I loved your reaction along with your analysis of their voices. You've gained a subscriber here. Can't wait to watch more of your reaction and analysis videos. 👍👍❤❤
The Bee Gees were a BIG part of my childhood. I was there for Saturday Night Fever and DISCO! When The Bee Gees had the soundtrack for Saturday Night Fever, I played it on my record player until it was worn out and skipping.. then I bought another one! Their sound was unmistakable. Barry Gibb is still alive (the one in the middle) but the fraternity twins Maurice and Robin died several years ago, 2003 and 2012 respectively. They also had a younger brother Andy that was not a part of The Bee Gees, but did have his own music career. Andy was the first brother to die at only 30yrs old.😢 I think it was at least partly from many years of drug & alcohol abuse. Thank you for taking me back down memory lane.❤
Always great to see someone falling in love with this song for the first time yet being insightful and not merely melting! For a higher register voice I would love to see you analyse Thom Yorke from Radiohead who can make you feel a wide range of emotions. There's great live versions of "Paranoid Android" on Later with Jools Holland or "Street Spirit (Fade out)" in Yokohama. Totally different but that's Radiohead
There are many interviews with the Bee Gees online where you may hear their extremely normal speaking voices. The special thing about them is none of them had voice coaching or any music lessons, they came from poverty and not one could read or write music.
You do know that the Gibb brother's do not read music. Though their family have musical roots, it is all natural instinct and harmony. All self taught, both vocally and instrumentally.
This is one of the songs that was often requested and played in disco clubs back then. Especially later in the evening. A good opportunity to dance closely with your partner. Feelings came up. 😉
I listen to this song every day. It was released 1978. I was married 1977. If it had been released in 1977, it would have been one of the songs in my wedding. A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren. Barry's chest is shiny with blotches because when he was about 18 months, he pulled a pot of hot tea from off of a table. His mom said he didn't speak for a long time (close to 2 years.) He was close to dying because there was no skin grafting back then and gangrene was beginning to set in. Barry said he has no memory of it happening, just the scars to prove. Robin (on our left - long hair) and Maurice (on our right - short hair) were fraternal twins. Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) heart attack, while getting surgery for twisted intestines. Survived by wife and 2 adult children. Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) doctors found out he had the same intestine problems as Maurice. When they went in to fix it, they found cancer. He is survived by wife and 4 adult children. Andy Gibb - not pictured (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins. He had a bad heart. Andy is survived by one daughter. You know the song 'Emotion' sung by Destiny's Child? (Beyonce' was a member of the group.) The brothers wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. Destiny's Child has too much drama in it. Barry said he liked it. Emotion ua-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/v-deo.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history. Robin sings falsetto too. On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight. She lives a quiet life. She and Barry are the last two survivors of the family. (Their parents are deceased also.) Maurice passed away on Lesley's 58th birthday. They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs. There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry. Oh I enjoyed your thoughts on this song so much! I’ve loved their music since 1975 and still get those goose bumps every time I hear them. I even met Barry and Maurice and they were truly delightful.❤ Hope to hear your reaction to more of their music!
Have a listening to their meldley from their one for all tour, you'll hear their normal voices and it sounds absolutely amazing. Such a massive tallent.
--------------------- Thank you for your observations and reaction to The Bee Gees! They are my favorite group and I subscribed to your channel just now! Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under: Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 YOU JUST DID THIS ONE How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1 Staying Alive (disco), went to #1 Night Fever (disco), went to #1 You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1 Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too. Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1 Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song. Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1 More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made! Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1 To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were. Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1 Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour. They sing in their natural voices on this song. Alone (pop): One of the songs they made late in their career. Love So Right (R&B), One of Barry’s best falsetto songs ever. Words (pop, 1979 Spirits Tour). Barry pours his heart out on this song and they show his wife & son on screen some while he was performing it. Lonely Days (pop). One of the first songs they wrote after they got back together when they briefly broke up in 1969 then got back together in 1970 to write this. You Win Again (pop), If you want to hear some 80’s Bee Gees, this is a good one. Went #1 in the UK Run to Me (pop) How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them. One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives! All of them had been married for a while. Barry is will married to this day to Linda for over 53 years! Rest Your Love on Me Awhile (country). Shows diversity! Bodyguard (R&B), Robb really shines on this song that could have been played on any R&B radio station! For Whom the Bell Tolls (pop), again, Robin shines on this one. Blue Island - live (pop). This song shows the perfect blend & harmony the brothers have. Especially if you do the acoustic one. Just the 3 of them with 2 guitars! Our Love, Don't Throw it all away-Bee Gee's or Andy's version (pop). After their brother Andy passed, they started performing this during shows in honor of him. Secret Love (pop). I love the best to this song! Barry & Robin leads. This is Where I Came in (live) (pop). From the very last CD they ever released. There is a live version out there from a tv show. That's a great one to see how they have evolved into the 2000's! The 1989 One for all tour medley (excellent vocals & some humor). This is a little long (over 12 min), but they go through about 7-9 songs in this medley with just the 3 of them around 1 mic either Barry in the guitar. If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try: (A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979 (B) The making of the song "Just in Case" (C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001
The other thing about this (and many other songs they did) is how perfect the instrumental support is. Excellent blend. It doesn't overpower... it fits perfectly.
I remember this (and many more of their songs) when they came out. Obviously, Saturday Night Fever really put them into the stratosphere, but they wer well known far earlier. They "formed" the group the year I was born (1958), so that's always been one of my favorite trivia questions. They could (can) harmonize the way only siblings can... effortlessly and seamlessly. I don't always witness YOU getting goosebumps, so that was special! Great reaction!!
The falsetto style was a late, accidental discovery while Barry was playing around in the studio, and it saved their careers. Check work from the 60s or very early 70s for the early ballads, often rather dark, such as Gotta Get a Message to You. Can also check younger brother Andy's "I Just Want to Be Your Everything" on which the older brothers sang back up.
NEW Subscriber here! Love your genuine reaction to skills, talent and art. I am also learning how to be a better vocalist from you. Happy to follow your content!
I’ve read that this song was written in an afternoon. And all the proceeds went to the UNICEF charity for children. Every single penny. Tens of millions of dollars through the years.
Jennifer! They even wrote a song for and recorded it with …..CELINE DION!!!! It’s called Immortality and it’s a must feel good watch. You’ll hear some of the deeper voices too.
Tragedy is my favourite Bee Gees song Reminds me of the little trips to Wales with my Mum and sister, music blaring!!! Bee Gees, Barry White, Prince Good times!
Jennifer Barry did an interview with one of Australian TV Networks little over 12 years ago called The Lone Bee Gee. He did this personal interview months after his brother, Robin died (long haired no beard). His other brother, Maurice died in 2003. Brothers also a younger brother named Andy Gibb as Barry calls him as his younger twin. Sadly, Andy died very young in 1988 at the age of 30. Very emotional interview.
If u notice, that is lacking in many singers today, they enunciate and precisely and sharply the words. U understand the words. Unusual and so lovely. ❤❤
If you want to hear them speaking in their normal voices (and discussing why they started singing falsetto), check out this interview. ua-cam.com/video/YcTYTDODV9Y/v-deo.htmlsi=84RLefNZ2TQtd_OU
I can't believe this was actually recorded live...although if not , it would have to be the best lip synching ever seen...from the Wikipedia page: 'They performed it at the Music for UNICEF Concert on 9 January 1979.'
There are hundreds of interviews of them on UA-cam. Their falsetto sound was mostly during the mid to late 70s. All the brothers could sing falsetto, but Barry usually did. Listen to their earlier stuff back to the 60s and their later stuff 80s, 90s and their last released song "This is where I came in" (2001). This was released two years before their brother Maurice passed. Very little to no falsetto in a lot of their music.
If you listen to their early stuff, Barry did not sing 'high'. That happened with either this song or another slow song where a producer asked in the middle of recording 'can you do it higher?' - and thus the Bee Gees sound was found. At least, that's the way Barry tells the story.
Jen, The Bee Gees are so underrated. They had hits in the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s and 2000’s and had 22 studio albums and 83 singles. They also wrote songs for most of the top artists such as Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers, Elvis, Barbara Streisand, Diana Ross, Olivia Newton-John, Yvonne Elliman, Tavares, Frankie Valli, Jimmy Ruffin and Dionne Warwick to name but a few. They wrote over 1,000 songs are in the Songwriters Hall of Fame and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. If you want to listen to Oldies that are NEW try this studio recording that recreates “We’ve only just begun” and is from a new singer called Tori Holub. You will be astonished and astounded by the voice and the production quality and her voice is VERY close to the incomparable Karen Carpenter. Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/J95lfJqo9VY/v-deo.html

Maurice is the depth and soul of the group. After he died, the brothers' were never the same. Maurice's voice grounded Barry and Robin.

Barry once had a back injury and he said about that … he learned how his lower back was the support for his high notes making them near impossible until he recovered.
He had great control with his falsetto extending the length of his runs he did in several songs.

Yes!♥️Barry's the second most successful songwriter & producer in music history!♥️
There's just no one better! So much talent!! I've loved them forever.
@@kthorYes thank you. I thought it was all of them but I knew I could hear Barry! Thank you again! Low bass Kenneth
I appreciate your genuine energy and love of music! You are a delight to follow!!
Thanks 😁
Great reaction. I really enjoyed it. The Bee Gees really are special. I think you will have a great time going through there catalog of music that lasted 50+ years. They adapted their sound and song writing to the changing times and it will be interesting to watch you explore and analyze it. 😊
A personal suggestion for you to check out is “Fanny Be Tender With My Love”.
Their voices are incredible. It is even more awe inspiring when you think about it because back then there was no auto tune or the production technology to clean up voices. It is all them. They had to be able to harmonize with each other to produce that sound.
So glad you heard the "tooooo" come in - so few seems to notice that subtle change which elevates the backup vocals IMHO
That was Maurice
I started A Joke - a brilliant song of the Bee Gees
The Bee Gees 🎉 ❤
If you would like to hear another masterclass in vocal technique from a female artist of the same era, take a listen to Karen Carpenter singing the Carpenter's version of Superstar.
"How Can You Mend a Broken Heart" would be a good follow-up song.
Please do more BeeGees. You won't be sorry. They have so many styles...never boring
ALWAYS excellent.
Holy crap I've been waiting for this.
I love Home Free too, but sad Austin has left.♥️
Hi Jennifer hope you are having an great and awesome day ❤
Definitely need to do, To love somebody, came out in 1967
If I actually had to choose just one song, To Love Somebody, would be my favorite. The way Maurice comes in at the end with his ad lib, is absolutely iconic!
...Is this MUSIC, or is this MUSIC??? 🤪 BTW: Robin has also a special voice.........( I Started A Joke...)
Good recommendation, especially for anyone who thinks that they only have one sound. They had a completely different sound in the 60's.
Barry also has a beautiful chest voice: try Words, To Love Somebody, First of May!🎶

Yes, his voice is wonderful and the lyrics are really worth listening close to
Bee Gees born on the Isle of Man 🇮🇲 of the coast of Britain 🇬🇧, this performance of ( To Much Heaven) was a children’s charity event for UNICEF and the three brothers donated the proceeds to the charity, Bee Gees the only band in history to have Written, produced, and recorded 6 N01 hits in a row, also they had the best selling album of all time until Michael Jackson brought out his ( Thriller) album, Jackson mentioned his inspiration for his Thriller album came from the Bee Gees, The brothers Gib first and foremost always considered themselves songwriters before being Vocalists, but they are outstanding singers, no Auto Tune in them times just pure talent, the brothers were considered to be one of the best songwriters ever, they have written songs for many famous artists to many to mention and for films,I attended a Bee gees live concert in Las Vegas in 1997 called one night only, The brothers were phenomenal live, the guys have sold over 260 million records worldwide over 6 decades, great reaction thanks 🙏
In a 1989 concert in Australia, they do a medley of songs, and one of them is a natural-voice rendition of Too Much Heaven, without the falsetto gymnastics at the end. You might find that interesting.
YEAH GIRL! Let yourself Fall In Love like We All Did!!!
Could you imagine Tim Foust dropping in. From one extreme to the other.
….. The Bee Gees took all of the Grammys in the 70’s 🏆 (Kings)
I enjoyed your reactions and appreciation of the musicality of this piece as much as the piece itself.
Dine live in one take! No auto tune just sibling harmony perfection! That’s so much for reacting to this!!
It's not a live recording. It's from the Spirits Having Flown LP.
If you want to hear Barry's normal voice try How Deep Is Your Love.
If you want your mind blown, look at how many soundtracks for movies and hits this trio wrote, much of which was done for other artists.
Jennifer your analysis of this was really good. One of your best.
Neither did the Beatles. :)
The list of high profile singers and instrumentalists who can’t read music is a long one.
There are not many famous singers who do read music.
Your facial expressions are stunning!
(Beyonce' was a member of the group.)
The brothers wrote the song (1977) for the singer Samantha Sang. Destiny's Child has too much drama in it. Barry said he liked it.
Emotion ua-cam.com/video/b_wTZjo9azk/v-deo.htmlsi=Y863cKzsfSsxKiTP
They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for a lot of other artists.

Was very emotional for me. Loved a new generation hearing what I enjoyed on high school first hand
Oh I enjoyed your thoughts on this song so much! I’ve loved their music since 1975 and still get those goose bumps every time I hear them. I even met Barry and Maurice and they were truly delightful.❤ Hope to hear your reaction to more of their music!
Yea, Jen! I love the Beegees and you did a great reaction to this song. You look as though you really enjoyed yourself. ❤
Have a listening to their meldley from their one for all tour, you'll hear their normal voices and it sounds absolutely amazing. Such a massive tallent.
---------------------
Thank you for your observations and reaction to The Bee Gees! They are my favorite group and I subscribed to your channel just now!
Here’s a list with my interpretation of what genre I think they fall under:
Too Much Heaven (R&B) Went to #1 YOU JUST DID THIS ONE
How Deep Is Your Love (R&B Ballard), went to #1
Staying Alive (disco), went to #1
Night Fever (disco), went to #1
You Should Be Dancing (R&B or disco), went to #1
Fanny be tender with my love (R&B). Quincy Jones said this was his favorite R&B song. It’s a favorite of mine too.
Jive Talking (R&B), went to #1
Nights on Broadway (R&B/Funk)..you’ll hear the brothers “natural” voices in this song.
Tragedy (Techno? Pop) It also went #1
More than a woman (Disco/R&B) One of the best love songs ever made!
Love you inside out (Funk/pop), went to #1
To love somebody (R&B) One of their earlier hits, from 1967!!! You’ll see how young they were.
Massachusetts (pop/country), went to #1
Wind of Change (funk/r&b), live 1975 from the Midnight Special or live from their 1979 Spirits tour.
Went #1 in the UK
Run to Me (pop)
How Can you mend a broken heart (R&B). The other song they wrote when they first got back together after a brief breakup. It was also their first #1 in the US
Kiss of Life (rock). Shows a diverse side of them.
One (pop), their last top 10 hit in the US
Wedding Day (pop), a single they wrote for their wives!
If you want to see them (the Bee Gees) and how they work in the studio try:
(A) the making of their song "Tragedy" from 1979
(B) The making of the song "Just in Case"
(C) The making of the video "This is Where I Came in" from their last cd in 2001
The other thing about this (and many other songs they did) is how perfect the instrumental support is. Excellent blend. It doesn't overpower... it fits perfectly.
This is a live performance, no help just pure talent
It's not a live recording. It's from the Spirits Having Flown LP.
Bee Gees are amazing singers and songwriters!!
They sing normal in "How Can You Mend a Broken Heart"
ONE OF THE FINEST VOCAL ANALYSIS I HAVE HEARD.
Barry's the only one who sang backup on Andy's songs.
I love Bee Gees and I love you! Please keep doing these analysis, they're brilliant!
enjoyed your reaction and expansive analysis coupled with joy - thanks and well done!
It goes without saying that you need to do Barry Gibb’s songs he wrote for and performed with Streisand, “Woman In Love” and “Guilty”
Bee Gees - (Our Love) Don't Throw It All Away I belive this was the last song just before andy gibb past away
NEW Subscriber here! Love your genuine reaction to skills, talent and art.
I am also learning how to be a better vocalist from you. Happy to follow your content!
Would love to see you react to the songs that Barry Gibb recorded with Barbra Streisand: Guilty, Woman In Love, and What Kind Of Fool
Great suggestions!
I’ve read that this song was written in an afternoon.
And all the proceeds went to the UNICEF charity for children. Every single penny.
Tens of millions of dollars through the years.
The BeeGees were vocal craftsman. Technicians. Pure Genius. RIP Robin and Maurice. You are both missed.
Love this generation learning and keeping this amazing music that i grew up with alive, Thank you.
I never get tired of listening to The Bee Gees. ❤
Jennifer! They even wrote a song for and recorded it with …..CELINE DION!!!! It’s called Immortality and it’s a must feel good watch. You’ll hear some of the deeper voices too.
Tragedy is my favourite Bee Gees song
Reminds me of the little trips to Wales with my Mum and sister, music blaring!!!
Bee Gees, Barry White, Prince
Good times!
Jennifer
Barry did an interview with one of Australian TV Networks little over 12 years ago called The Lone Bee Gee.
Go back to the early days...they were on TV as children and on MTV as young men.
Barry gives you another voice in "Nights on Broadway"
A group that often supported feelings from deep in our youth!! Good times!
It's not a live recording. It's from the Spirits Having Flown LP.
If you watch the video for Fanny Be Tender, you will see Barry and Robin use both there falsetto voices and their "real" voices.
I found backing myself away when he reaches those incredibly perfect vocals...so powerful.
"The Bee Gees are so underrated."
BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
