This the second d video of yours I’ve watched and got to say you’re a very impressive young man. Good luck with your future quotes as you remember to think about your overheads. 👍
The front hedge is privet (latin name ligustrum) and the conical shaped bushes are box wood (latin name buxus). With shaped box wood (conical or ball shaped you will find it easier and quicker to cut them with shears and leave a better finish. Darlac make some reslly good shears. The straight blades of s hedge cutter dont really follow curves well on small shapes. Remember that costs sutch as the ULEZ fine and the van servicing and repair pair costs are tax deductible so you can claim these back when you do your end of year accounts and reduce the amount of tax you have to pay obviously the same for any purchases like the trailer.
Fantastic bit of advice, thank you very much really appreciate the comment as always. And it really sucks about the u. Lles charged, but I think i'm just gonna shut up and pay the fine like a good boy 🤣.
@@HDGardenCare Wood grenade you use a mallet and tap it into the centre of a log and it'll split it in 4 a 80yr old guy showed me when I delivered a load of uncut logs to him
Pole trimmer is the wrong tool for those cone shrubs which is why you're struggling to shape them a small hedge cutter or stihl bush cutter will do nicely
Your not wrong but there 2x the price and and 200kg more unloaded, I really would be pushing my van and running it over weight if i had a twin axle i would o ly be able to put 400kg on it max. the more trailer the less weight I can put on it the van limits me to 1ton tow capacitie legally
Loving your videos mate. You seem very switched on and good at what you are doing. Weeding is so boring but it doesn’t half make a big difference. Watch out for the strings/ties on your hoody when using the chainsaw. Getting one of those caught in the chain is a good way to get a chainsaw in the neck/face. Keep up the good work.
Thank you very much for the kind words, mate. That really does mean a lot. I'd like to think I've learned a thing or two by now. And you're right about the jumper. Her toggles with the chainsaw-I never thought of that. So, as of now, I will be cutting them off, as this poses a safety danger not only to me but also to any of my employees to whom I issue the clothing.
shes a mint van mate and will go on for much longer. I payed 750 for it 3 years ago ive put 50k miles on it and spent 400 on it so far. if I spend another 400 and it only last me another year its done me the 4 years still works out art 500 a year during my ownership including maintenance. I will do the work my self and it will still be cheap van i would be fool to swap it out for a van that's a bag of poo! the 1.9 na is a bulletproof engine its only got 130k on her i plan to run it to 180k so shes got alot of life left. Wasteful to scrap it
Nice work as usual. Bad luck with the ulez, I'm afraid you are wasting your time contesting it though as it states on their web page. We will not accept the following explanations: Forgetting to pay the charge, without any mitigating circumstances for doing so Not knowing how to pay the charge Not meaning to enter the ULEZ or entering it as a result of getting lost Disapproval of the ULEZ scheme Not knowing about the ULEZ
Loved the van camera angle. Great work as always.
Thank you for the kind comment. I really hope you enjoyed the video.

Great work chap, I think the hedge is Privet and the individual cone shaped shrubs are the Box. Learning every day mate. Have a great Easter

I'm not sure what these are or what this comment is referencing. However, I'll give it a google search and have a look!

That s the trouble with being self employed people don't realise how much it costs you to run your own business but keep up the good work
People really don't at all, People think we rake the money in however thats not the case MOST the time!
Log splitting good work out, get yourself a log splitter, save your body you've got a long career in front of you.
I'm a man who likes to do things the old fashioned way. I love splitting logs with an axe. As it gives me a real thrill, splitting them by hand.
Better scrap the van put money in to something newer evan if you have to borrow money . False econome throwing good money after bad

Scrapping that van would be crazy, It's yours you own it. Keep it on the road as long as possible.
Nice work as usual.

Yeah, it really wasn't ideal at all. However, it was a lesson learned and I won't make the same mistake twice.
