Cool!!! I neeed keyboard
I like the Gameboy one so muchhh
I recommend the acr7 v2 with lubed gateorn milky yellows, Akko’s black keycaps
The slimline purple one! But with hippo keycaps! Imagine!
Hi Hipyo I have a question well technically I’m asking for help but anyways I was putting in a switch and I can’t pull it out no matter how hard I try and I think a pin is bent in the PCB can you please help me???????
hipyo i cannot stop thanking you from saving me from being forced to do things, especially buying multiple keyboards
Any time
Ahah he gives me the opposite feeling , I want them ALL 😅😂
Then there's me: *wants good sounding keeb
*Gets another nerd hyped to build a keeb
*Starts planning and designing keeb
*2 months on the way and approximately 3 months or more till finished
@@jlhi808 Well I wanna plan a break in to Hypios house- uhhhhh I mean *yeah, yeah… I uh want to buy all the keyboards to hehe…* 😅
Thank you for looking after Hipyo whilst he builds keyboards, Nola 😄
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while building keyboards Nola. It's very nice of you
I love when keyboard creators take some risk to make keebs fun! I had never heard of Mikit before today and am eager to check out a few of their unique budget friendly boards.
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards, Nola. That’s super nice of you! 🐱
I also love weird-looking keyboards since most look the same. That’s why I got myself the Kit Adam-the base kit so that I will have all the freedom to play with switches and keycaps. Plus the fact that I can use my original Lego bricks instead 😍
But I still have the usual-looking ones.
Building that sometime soon!
@@HipyoTech Can’t wait!
I got the kit Adam and I love it but some of the switches broke so I gotta get some new ones
@@HipyoTech you should buy me it tbh
@@AKdove oh that's unfortunate. I just got the base kit. how are the switches that came with it though?
I built my first custom keyboard last month after watching ur vids :) it’s a kbd67 lite with oil kings and poly caps seal. Thanks for the inspiration:)))
thanks hipyo. Thanks to you i modded my first keyboard and it feels and sounds waaaaay better than old keyboard. I didn't even expect this to be so different!! love your videos btw
Loved the video, Hipyo! Really fun to see you check out some weird, unconventional keyboards, especially if they're good!
Reviewing high end keyboards is great and all, but I love it when you review budget keyboards like this. High end keyboards give enthusiasts something to strive for but the budget options are what bring in new people to the hobby (and also keep the budget enthusiast like me in the hobby).
Would also love to see you review more niche layouts such as ortholiner, alice or split boards. Finally, would be great if you could review this budget board - LeleLabs Y2K 76, its a very interesting 65% hotswap, hole-through board with spring suspension, a left hand knob and an OLED screen! Always look forward to your upcoming videos, keep up the good work!
I loved the streams, can't wait for more!
Those golden brown switches with modding are really good.
While we're on the subject of surprisingly good budget boards i highly recommend checking out the dustsilver k84. I recently picked one up for $89usd.
It came with gateron browns, double shot pbt keycaps from feker and amazingly good prelubed plate mount stabs for the price.
I second the notion, I’m biased towards the RX 87 colored one but they also have nice color choices
i like seeing more prebuilt keyboards. My fav so far is the yunzii x coolkiller. I definitely wanna try out that CL80 thin one
Dude you are amazing and keep up the good work hope you get to 1 mil soon!
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboard Nola. That is very nice of you.
Thank you for this! I'm intrigued by the C96 and may give it a go (I want this for work and need a 9 key!)
The orange and white pre-built looks/sounds AMAZING. Might be my next purchase :D
THIS IS AMAZING! I love hipyo. I’m tryna build keyboard
I always type on a laptop but i want mechanical but it slows me down, the low profile keyboard looks really good! thanks hipyo!
the second keyboard is a happy hacker layout those are aesthetically pleasing to look at and amazing to type once you get used to it.
You should try the Moondrop DASH keyboard. I have one on order and I'd like to see what you think.
That hazel choccy thingy looks really handy for me, currently got an Ajazz AK873 that I like apart from the preset rainbow-only RGB, it being ANSI layout, and the clicky switches being a little loud (though I do like the feel of them, I'd like to get some Akko Lavender switches to replace them), though I suspect it doesn't have an ISO option?
These look like really nice and interesting keyboards, very refreshing to see over the usual "typing rectangles". I just wish they put the extra knobs and buttons on the left instead of the right. For aesthetic sake, I would never tape mod the gameboy keyboard even if it makes it sound better.
Coulda swore I saw this on Twitch a few days ago! It's almost like I was there!
Definitely an interesting keyboard, I'll admit it looks nice, the RGB is quite nice, the clicky sounds nice, but I'll be honest, the orange switches, I said at first didn't look ALL that bad with the keycaps, but now looking back, they don't look the best.
Nice video!
i have some ajazz keyboard for like $20 and its actually amazing. good stabilizers, good sound (clicky spacebar though), red switches, hot swappable and led backlit
I saw this before it was posted, I personally found most of these enjoyable.
Thank you for looking after Hipyo while he builds keyboards, Nola, you cuttie! ❤😻
Amazing as always, hipyo tech never fails to make us laugh
It's cool that you're able to give recommendations on prebuilt keyboards. I'm working on doing my first mod with my Redragon, but for keyboards being prebuilt you gave me a good one with the Iqunix and now I'm waiting for my Kechron V1. Eventually after I mod my Redragon imma attempt to build one from scratch with your tutorials 😊
this looks epic for sure
Fun video concept! I want that Hazel Choc so bad! Just a little tweaking and it is giving big Star Wars Rebel Alliance vibes.
Hi Hipyo! New to the hobby here. You’ve said in a few prior videos that certain mods shouldn’t be done on keyboard with batteries (the pillow foam mod) or they should be done with specific materials (using electrical tape when doing the tape mod). My first mechanical keyboard has a battery and I’m looking to mod it - are there any resources on specifically modding a keyboard with a battery?
I'm good with my Wooting 60HE but that purple transparent Gamboy Advanced keyboard is perfect, that's the color mine was! :D
I ended up getting the one you didn't even review the DK65 it looks like a really cool board.
I want to see nola attacks with your keyboard building ventures lol!
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards Nola! :3
Nola and this channel are great! :3
Other way around goes too. Got me a hyped Keychron. It works, no complaints, but there is nothing to be hyped about. Had to fix my own spacebar, etc.....
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards, Nola
Wow - just wow. Also review Akko 5078b please it’s the best stock budget 75 % keyboard with Akko cream yellows bestww
I'm actually going to save to MK72 HUA in either the amethyst or pale view colour and get a set of Gameboy-inspired keycaps, think it will turn out really good.
These boards are insanely great for $100. Thanks for making me aware of the brand, found my new work keyboard.
I LOVE THAT DAMN GAMEBOY KEYBOARD
Perfect size for me just need an f row for Tarkov, but a TKL steelseries to get away from the 60% razer keyboard I had. Sorta getting into these kinds of keyboards but I gotta kiddo so I love watchin your vids for budget options and general keyboard knowledge, you and Glarsses cause he's hilarious
What microphone do you use for recording your typing sound clips? The sound is so crystal clear!!
Rode Nt1
Continuing the crusade for a buy it for life keyboard! Most durable keeb challenge!
Thank you for having this premiere...... AT
MID ******* NIGHT (still happy to watch tho)
3am over here 😔👋
That short note by MIKIT says "hello, happy to have you use MIKIT's product" for anyone wondering
damn. the gameboy keeb is so cool i am actually debating getting one but yeah. the layout IS weird but i currently have a 65% board with a broken fn-key and i just really miss the F row so i think i could get over it qwq
I found your channel from Switch and Click, (one of your friends) and you guys are so good at building keyboards, I really wish I had your guys’ talent, I really want to mod my GK61, but I don’t have the tools nor the experience/talent in order to do it. But who knows maybe I’ll get to your level some day. Or maybe I can get free keyboards if I ever get sponsored. Anyways have a great day! You’re probably not going to see this but maybe you will! Good night 🌙
The first keyboard is bringing back the shelf. Back in the Model-M days folks would regularly post asking "What's on your keyboard shelf?" Have you reviewed an IBM Model-M?
Nuphy Air costs similar to first flat keyboard so I guess it also qualifies it as budget and good.
I recently got a Perixx PX-4300. it is a 60% keyboard with Gateron Browns... really curious what you think about this one and how you would review it!?
Hey hipyo what’s the name of your small drill that you use for screwing things in some videos
Watching this on stream was fun, watching the video was good as well! You get to hear Hipyo's normal voice and get extra Nola content... WATCH THE STREAMS.
Have you done any electrical tape mods in videos? Am i wrong in only remembering painters tape? Can you show an electrical tape mod with sound?
Make a compact layout so you have more space on the right for your mouse, then fill most of this space with basically nothing so you don't get more space for the mouse. Makes perfect sense
Lets gooo another banger of a video
Great protector Nola, thank you for protecting Hipyo from those tactile gang members when he builds
Please review the epomaker ek68, I bought mine and modded it it’s so nice
is there a reason to use scotch blue tape over regular masking tape?
Most brown switches are pretty good. It's just that Cherry makes them a bit rough and scratchy and usually only budget keyboards use browns but they're pretty good regardless.
2nd one is cool❤
Hey Hipyo I was wondering which Permatex products did you use for your stabilizers? I have a similar problem and I would love to have have to take apart my entire keyboard to fix it.
Permatex Dielectric grease
thinkpads actually have amazing keyboards, especially the newest ones, lucky i was allowed to change my work laptop to one
The t80 hazel choc (hazelnut chocolate) is probably because it comes with brown (chocolate) switches
Can you do a review for the Finalkey x Cidoo v65 r2 ? It s a budjet aluiminum keyboard kit
So continuing on with the gameboy theme for the purple keyboard, I imagine the T80 is meant to look like a game and watch?
silicone pour for the gameboy keyboard would have been better and kept a more even rgb from under. just saying for anyone interested in getting this keyboard cause it is kinda cool.
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards Nola 💜
Quick question to you guys - how many keyboards do you have? I just have a keychron v1 that’s switches i pried out with a kitchen knife and replaced with box pinks.
TRY THE KEYCHRON K10 PRO W/T AKKO CREAM YELLOW PLS
Big fan :)
After messing around with the Kit Adam for a while i've discovered that this might become a hobby of mine hahaa
Could you look at the akko epomaker 3068B?
Thank you for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards, Nola!
Can you review the roccat vulcan tkl?
Can you review the epomaker skyloong gk75
So, those side buttons and knob are just for show?
Hipyo I need to know how you get all those keyboard lit up in the background. I can’t seem to do that with mine. Please share your secrets.
You need a usb hub with smart voltage
please look at the epomaker cidoo...... it's sounds and looks so insanely good for how cheap it is
you should do a review of the gas67, its a great board at a great price (but north facing LEDs)
and, thanks Nola for protecting Hipyo while he builds keyboards!
hey could you try out the gmk 67?
I just looked up their site. Maybe Josie would like the GH96 adventurer. Because yellow.
Losing the directional keys is a dealbreaker... I love the MK72's look - would be the PERFECT companion to my Steam Deck with purple backplate. I don't mind losing capslock but it's kinda heartbreaking that it's this || close to my ideal keyboard.
hey hipyo, why dont you check out the Nuphy air series for Low profile keyboards
Do we know if the Game Boy keyboard can be remapped? I'd much rather have my Caps Lock than CTRL there.
what do you do with all these boards??
Nuphy Halo96 and Air96 time!
Man I am HERE for the GB keyboard goddamn
I have a question. I have a wireless custom keyboard (tes68) and I did 3 layer tape mod on it and so far I have had no problems. What I want to ask is that am I doing something wrong?
But what do the buttons and knobs on the right do ? X-
What Permatex did you use?
im searching a good stem holder can you tell or link the one that your using please
The howdy hey keeping me alive
could you cover the new tofu 2.0?
The second keyboard is super weird - how can you deal with not having a caps key on the left, and the position of ctrl
Hey Hipyo Tech!
I always wonder, why don't you review any 104 keys keyboard? That's my favorite size hahaha. Do they not sell this "super nice mechanical keyboards" in that size? Do you have a gripe against this size? Hahaha I'd love to know, as a "full sized" keyboard fan :)
1:10 meeee ahahah love it
They look good and the designs ans layouts seen very nice, but they all don't seem to have QMK/VIA/Vial support. I want to customize the functionality of my keyboard exactly the way I like it. At least the MK72 uses one layout-change that I always like to use: remapping caps lock into Ctrl so that very easy to reach, even while gaming, key becomes actually useful.
However, I like to change more and they seem to be not programmable at all, not even with some (not preferred) proprietary software. That's a big deal breaker for me.
