@@jemwand2530 Mine is the RSS made in Indonesia but as you say, great bang for the buck. I am considering a MIJ Gold top P90 I like it so much. I do own MIJ instruments from Gretsch, Aria Pro II, Takamine and Conn. All beautiful instruments. 3 are '70s vintage. The Tak is a 1977 'lawsuit' Martin 12 string copy. The '75 Conn is a cedar and mahogany classical found last year as a closet queen from a pawn shop, like new condition, beautiful tone once saddle and bridge lowered 1/4 inch. '72 Aria Pro II TA70.

I went through the usual suspects but then I told him if I were to be granted a wish by a genie that I could play like anyone in the world I told him I would want to be able to play like Chris Buck. This floored him, he'd never heard of him. So I introduced him to Cardinal Black. He knows who Chris Buck is now.

His bending "vibrato" is instantly recognizable. Having a signature sound is a mark of the best.

The Aristotle approach, beginning /middle/ending, I like the starting low game, not setting all your rockets off in one burst.

Chris is who inspired me to pick guitar back up. He really is special. He rubs off on my playing too if I'm not careful 😂

Don't know if Chris has ever met Greg Koch from my hometown of Milwaukee? But that would be an interesting mind meld of styles. Both of them have an inate insistence on putting a little something extra into every movement. Nothing ever seems boring or contrived.
I've noticed as some of Cardinal Black's biggest hits have evolved. Chris is making a conscious effort to slow down just a tad more, and give the parts and songs space to breathe. We're watching one of the best young guitarists around hone his craft.
I was hoping Tyler would interview Chris while in town. Thanx dudes, we're very grateful for both of your efforts. Peace!
