Could you consider reacting to the Netflix series Smiley? It's such a great show and no-one is reacting to it. 😢
Enid's mom and dad reminds me of Amy Fowler's parents in The Big Bang Theory. The mom remind me of Amy's mom and the dad is silent like Amy's dad
@@elizabethlynch6544 oh my god you know that show? They definitely give of her parents vibes, yeah.
I thought the "Oh look, there's my favourite son... and Tyler" joke would get old but i laughed harder every single time
Same 😂
It just had the certain charm to it lol
Sameee 🤣🤣🤣
It's because it was so accurate 🤣
Yes by the end almost cried from laughter
"We hate the outcasts cause those freaks use black magic and stuff, so I'm gonna stop them by... raising the dead using black magic"
😂😂😂
Yep, add hypocrisy to there many sins
Yeah and also we hate them because they stole our land to build a school... land that we also stole but that's not the point
It wouldn’t be right without some colonization hypocrisy~
Your jokes about the sheriff and Wednesday's relationship are cracking me up 😂😂 Whenever they have a scene together, I wonder what you guys will say 😂
😆😆
That was my favorite part!
The Thing and Enid friendship was something I didn’t know I needed ❤❤
🥰🥰
Loved that.
That moment you both yelled “TYLER” had me actually bust out laughing thank god I’m closing alone
😂😂😅
"you are 911" had me rolling for a good 5 minutes cackling 💀
😂😂
The Wednesday and Sheriff Galpin jokes will never NOT be funny💀 I love y’all’s commentaries😭
Thank you!! Lolol
@@PinkPopcast ❤️🩹❤️🩹❤️🩹
"Oh look, there's my favourite son... and Tyler" & "Tuesday" got me laughing soo harddd🤣🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
All your Sheriff and Wednesday commentary is absolutely A+++ hilarious.
😁😁
@@PinkPopcast I can't wait until season 2 for us to delve more into DEPUTY WEDNESDAY and her proud new dad.
I think the issues between morticia and Wednesday are more so speaking to those teenage years and the trope of teenage girls not getting along with their mothers. The younger Wednesday in her childhood in the movies wouldn’t have faced those issues
I was basically coming to say the same thing. We've never seen a teenage Wednesday before so the dynamic is different. Gotta have that rebellious "I'm my own person mom geesh" phase.
Yeah but she was a teen in the musical and she didn't face those issues. It makes no sense that Morticia would try to make her into a mini me. That's just not how she is.
@@filmfangirls9163 we never actually see Morticia do that so i think it's more like an interpretation seen through teenage angst. Like when she's in the nightshade place and she says "the picture is looking at her disapprovingly" I thought, ummm you didn't even exist yet Wednesday it's just a picture
@@ElisaH_DarklyiShine yeah but like not being proud of her for being expelled and making her go to their school and telling her there's no escape? Just doesn't seem like Morticia. I would have believed it if they spoke about how proud they were, but now no school will take her. So they send her there but they encourage her to do as she pleases with her future. Plus (I know I said this before sorry for repeating but) Wednesday was a teen in the Broadway musical and she didn't have any anger towards her mother in that. It's just so out of place for the Addams Family to dislike each other.
the thing is that the entire point of the addams family is that they were supposed to be the opposite of every predictable normal american family trope, which is why it's out of character to have a "rebellious teenage phase," it would make more sense for them to have some sort of dependant "i want to be like you" phase just to subvert the trope.
The demon sorcery line was giving "I saw Sara at the devils sacrament. Gurl what were you doing at the devils sacrament?! 👀"
😂😂
Its impossible to watch your wednesday and the sherrif commentary late at night without laughing.A true father son duo (+Tyler)
😂😂😂
Okay but… is it just me or did Wednesday and Enid have more chemistry in the series than any of the guys???
Yes, because Netflix did the bare minimum for them that they DIDNT give to Wednesday, Tyler, and Xavier: they had Wednesday & Enid CARE about each other 😆
Every time they said that Wednesday was the favorite daughter, I couldn't stop laughing, I was waiting for them to say it. 🤣🤣
😁😁
😂 you guys pointing out how much the cop let Wednesday slide with was so funny I’m sad I didn’t pick up on that myself… like he’s gotta be the worst cop 😂 and the my favorite son bit was *chefs kiss*
Hahah definitely some Wednesday bias with him there
So glad to see someone comment about what Morticia said to the mayor. When I watched that in real time I was like, Mrs. Addams I’m gonna go out on a limb and say the black man living in 94% white Vermont has probably experienced someone doubting his word at some point.
right!? like, sometimes we’re not even TRYING to be woke… That’s just common sense lol
😂😂 For real!!
I'll give them the benefit of the doubt because he is a black man of influence who was a cop and then the sheriff and then the mayor
They are joking!
You're right about the Goody thing! It was short for Goodwife, basically a title of address for a married woman of lowly birth. It's like being in modern times and thinking someone's first name is Mister. Many, MANY things that depict colonial times in early America get that wrong and it's so annoying. Same with "oh they burned witches in Salem" ... they didn't. No accused witches were burned in Salem, most were hanged and one died during torture while refusing to confess.
Thank you! I thought I was trippin. Apparently most of us need to retake history
I think the misconception comes from the fact that witches were burned in Europe
... But the DRAMA!
I'm surprised you didn't do a callback to Bridgerton with Anthony and the Bee when Laurel started shooting the bees. Also, Wednesday and the sheriff jokes were gold.
Haha we totally didn’t think of it until the premiere 😭😭
3:33 They do, Wednesday just has trouble communicating with others and forming relationships with others and finds it easier to think the worst of her parents rather than admit that they're looking out for her. Don't forget, in episode 2 she defended Gomez to the Sheriff saying 'My father is twice the man you are'
Hell yeah!
38:44 Some reckon that it's a pack thing - the wolf comes out when it senses a member of its pack is in danger and Wednesday is part of her pack.
the wednesday and sheriff storyline yall had was truly the highlight lmaooo
As an English teacher who teaches "The Crucible," I will say, Benji you are right about the term "Goody." It's a shortened version of the term "Goodwife," referring to a married woman. I'm not sure in the case of the show considering we never saw or heard of a husband for Goody Addams, but it's assumed I guess lol
Thank you 😊
I would say "but she was like fifteen??" but.. given the time she lived in, yeah probably. also, I mean.. she had descendants.
23:29 - That reference.. you bastards!!! 😂😂
26:20 - The whole "Sheriff (and everyone else) LOVES her" trope has really elevated this reaction video!
😂😂😂 thank you!
Sheriff: CALL 911!!
...
Benji: You ARE 911!
Absolutely ended me. I replayed way more than ten times 😂😂😂
Anyway where would the Sheriff be without his favorite son.
😂😂
Spoilers:
In the scene where everyone runs towards Wednesday after Crackstone is killed, it's a very specific order they run in. The fact that the Nightshades, led by Xavier, who ran straight after Enid warms my heart, because Wednesday has had an issue with all of them at one point or another yet they are the first to run.
That is SO sweet
The greatest trick Wednesday ever pulled was convincing the world this wasn't a CW show 😆
When Thornhill started shooting at the bees I was like "Who do you think you are? Anthony Bridgeton?" 😂😂
BEEEEEZZZ!! 😂😂🐝🐝
Haha! Cracked up when you guys noted the mayor just might have some understanding of not being believed. 😆
😭😭
Wednesday and the Sheriff is the new Eloise and the Queen 😂😂😂
We’re starting our own lineup 😅
I think the issue about the Wednesday and her father killing someone issue isn't the fact that he killed someone, it's the fact that he lied about not killing someone. Especially since Wednesday stated in the first episode that she killed two other people before the piranha incident. I think she's just upset that her dad lied about it.
I like the moment at 14:14, with Enid wiggling the present into frame. it's a wonderful, subtle addition that adds to her eager, bouncy, shall we say, PUPPY LIKE demeanor.
Funny enough, the sheriff played the dad of a character with a similar personality type to Wednesday on a show called Scorpion. His daughter's name is Happy and her personality is the polar opposite lmao.
Awwe that’s cute… or at least I’m hoping he was a decent dad and it was cute lol
rizzo's impersonation of tyler brought actual tears to my eyes
Omg, the edit with the Where’s Waldo in the background when Benji said “where are the teachers?” was hilarious. That’s amazing
😂😂
need a cut of just "if it isn't my favorite son... and Tyler... me and my roommate watched this 5 times because of that joke 😂
😂😂
I appreciate all the references because Im tired of being surrounded by "adults" that dont know at the drop of the dime what movie/show/song/commercial/musical/DCOMpromo Im referring to immediately. Its like they're normal 😩😂
😂😂 We’ve got your there!
Loved every bit of it. Word of advice: Don’t take a sip of your drink while watching this. I lost count how many times I spat or coughed on my lemonade while laughing. Theres Wednesday and the “other one” joke just kept getting more funnier by the minute.😂❤
😂😂
I laughed so hard every time the my favorite son joke came up😂 I'm even laughing while writing this😂😂
😂😂
Lol ‘expelled’ was my first thought too lol
3:35 I was all for the ranting about the Adams not getting along and the inconsistencies regarding the Adams world view. It drives me nuts.
45 minutes of you two is the best thing to come home to after work 🥰
Same thoughts! They’re therapeutic in some way… 🫶
I want season 2 to be just the buddy cop comedy between the Sheriff and Wednesday.
Xavier is a moody teenage boy, but I do think he’s so crazy about her because he has had visions of her. Imagine dreaming about some girl and her finally appearing, he’d be head over heels fast.
The biggest plothole for me was that the DNA test for Xavier and the monster was negative... So the fact everyone piled on him and just believed it was him... It was weird? Like, it made no sense to me.
I don't know how I watched this whole series without seeing that subtext between Wednesday and the Sheriff. You guys are just hilarious!
LOL 100% with you on the criticism. So much pointless boy drama! But it was an entertaining watch in spite of it and your guys’ reaction was super fun.
also, Crackstone was one of those truly deluded religious fanatics who believed everything he did was sanctioned/ordered by God. he literally believes God meant for him to come back and kill the 'outcasts'. that's how he'd justify it. it made perfect sense to me that he'd do that, tbh. that was the one thing that wasn't at least a little confusing
19:28 Yeahhh, Enid is a gossip blogger! How is she not posting about ANY of this? Um, Former sheriff-turned mayor covering up of a past murder on Evermore grounds?! Creepy alter, fresh room in the abandoned Gates house and creepy things in the basement?! Enid is too social media obsessed for them to not have that as a plot line.
Wow didn’t even think of that… maybe she was too scared to post about it 😅
You guys are like. My ideal movie-watching buddies 😂
❤️❤️❤️
The way I've been ill all day. This reaction is genuinely the only thing I've had enough energy to look forward to. And for good reason😌💅✨️
Sorry you’re not feeling well but we’re so glad we could give you something to look forward to 😊
Let’s be honest, sheriff was just trying to have some father son bonding time when he burst in on wednesday and tyler
19:27 also the fact that she mentions right after it’s cultural so it’s not even like weird Addams related quirk it’s just a Mexican related thing
Exactly! Don’t tell me you’re interested in someone if you’re not actually interested in anything they like or do
I honestly don't think I laughed this much when I watched the series alone! Y'all are hilarious and thank you for pointing out all the inconsistencies! I died when Benji was like he's the Pied Piper of Bees!! And the Sheriff and Wednesday jokes....omg how you two got to buddy cop...lmao!! I've said it before watching stuff with the two of you is the best and genuinely feels like watching with friends!!
Thank you so much we genuinely enjoy making these videos and it’s so encouraging to hear that you feel like your watching with friends!! ❤️❤️
The comments between the sheriff and Wednesday were so true 🤣🤣
8:42 My guess is that they figured that if no one did anything when Morticia said that Garrett was stalking her they wouldn't believe her side of the story about it being self-defence.
I was waiting in suspense for you to hear " suns up-" when the movie started 🤣🤣 Glad it didnt dissappoint lol
😂😂 EPIC
16:49 I love the way Thing scampers here.
I can’t believe I laughed so hard and it had nothing to do with “Wednesday”. The 2 of you were on point and firing on all cylinders, especially “my favorite son…and Tyler”😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂 thank you!
@@PinkPopcast 😉😎
Deputy Wednesday is what the Queen and Eloise should have been!
Visiting my favourite child…. And Tyler
I was also wondering how this man who hated outcasts suddenly rolls out death and pulls up with a staff and starts weilding it like it was normal for him!! They say your biggest haters are really jealous...
😂😂
congrats on being the only channel to post a reaction to this show that i actually watched to the end 😅 i kept getting annoyed at stuff that other reactors didnt seem to care about & honestly it was just rly nice to find someone else who disliked the way wednesday and morticia's relationship was written (plus the love triangle shit).
can't help feeling like those things were written in to make wednesday more relatable or whatever because they're "normal" things and that's stupid as hell. im just really tired of shows/movies/etc that loudly proclaim that they're about outcasts and weirdos, but like, only in a cool fantasy sort of way. pretty people with superpowers and endless romantic drama. because not being interested in romance would be TOO weird, and if you're not conventionally attractive you're only allowed to be a side character, because we don't actually care about subverting cultural norms we just think goth girls are kinda hot.
i think maybe im taking it too seriously its just a dumb netflix show but whatever. i liked yalls video lol
You’re not. I literally agree with everything you said.
@@hooshoof714 💜
THIS‼️
The thing that kinda tipped me off about Tyler was the dance. You're telling me that the kid who can't get his dad to attend grief therapy with him, somehow got him bought him a white suit? No, he got that from someone else.
He probably bought it with his job money.
"speak of the dev-woe" lol Benji that made me cackle 😂
Yes!! 😆😆
"We can wear them to CLASS!"
🤣🤣🤣
Enid is too cute and her efforts to reach out to Wednesday keep getting slapped down ☹
I'm glad Wednesday works out some (but not very much 😅) of her toxicity. At least she has room to grow next season.
The edits are absolutely killing me
"FATHER HELP!" XD
As soon as he started playing Legally Blonde I was like Benji's gonna love this
😄😄 you were so right
Ya for the mayor thing I was like "wtf, how did yall not think of this when writing the scene." Like damn, lmao.
Totally can see Wednesday as ace and/or aro although personally I ship her with Eind. Those two have like the best relationship and the most development, especially when both the boys are so weak (meanwhile almost every other character on the show is at least fun. Really dropped the ball with the romance).
You made great points about the Sherriff and had me laughing so hard every time you made the joke!
They are on with murder if it's justified. That's why she wanted an explanation.
Killing just for killing sake × killing for a justified reason (self defense, protecting someone else etc.) Are 2 different things. She wasn't upset about Gomez killing, she was upset because they were refusing to tell her what happened.
She wanted to know WHY they killed the guy.
Wednesday wasn't even upset when she find out Morticia actually stabbed him intentionally, she just wanted the full story.
Basically what matters to say murder is good or bad to her is the reason why it was done. If the reason is good enough/ makes sense for her she won't care.
They really missed the boat when it came to Pilgrim names. There were real people at the time named Sorry-for-sin Coupard, Humiliation Hynde, Fear-not Helly, Kill-sin Pimple, etc., etc.
Goody Addams is the best they could come up with?
What!? Points for originality for the settlers lol
Everyone adored the dance scene.. I cant be the only one to love the movie scene. Cmon. Legally blonde... it was the best
FINALLY! Someone else that remembered the crucible. Yes Goody is a title short for Goodwife
🙌🙌
THANK YOU! I kept yelling through the whole thing “but her NAME isn’t Goody!” 😂
😂😂
"I thought I was your son..."
"Why do we have helmets we love pain"
😂😂
thank you for pointing out that Goody is actually a title, it's been bothering me ever since I saw this show! 🤣😍
Right?!
“It’s tuesday “😂😂😂😂😂
for a good detective she makes a lot of early accusations. But i still loved it.
I AM UR MOTHERRRR!!! 😂
I think the reason wednesday was so upset about her father and the murder thing in the beginning was because the charges were dropped, "the job wasn't done," as Wednesday might say.
Well maybe they hide the fact that Morticia and Gomez unalived someone because they were ashamed that it was out of self defense and not by premeditation.
And they were like " we can't let anyone know we got scared of a mere normy but I also refuse to be without you" 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
Me while watching this show: I’m not saying Tyler and the monster are the same person I’m just saying I’ve never seen them in a room together….
Me at the last episode: wat I was right
😂😂
OK, I know Weems said that Hydes were banned from nevermore because they were too unstable and proved too much of a risk, but I can't be the only one thinking that maybe if Tyler's dad had gone to her to tell her about his concerns that Tyler might be a Hyde like his mother and asked her for help or advice (she or someone on the board had to know someone who had some dealings with Hydes or at least could've given some advice on how to tell for certain if he was one or how to keep his Hyde dormant) then maybe this could've been avoided. I know that taking him to Nevermore could've put him directly in the same path as Laurel but then she would've been under more surveillance and would've been more easily suspected if he was a student there, also if they'd found ways to keep his Hyde dormant they'd know the signs if it'd been awakened, or if it had been awakened by someone more responsible then she wouldn't be able to use him.
Either way even just going to talk to Weems about it would've been a better idea then the sheriff's plan of just ignoring it and hoping it'll go away or covering it up
Babe you said all that when it would make zero sense you took away literally the whole mystery of the first season 😂
Of course but apparently that would’ve made WAY too much sense 😂😂
@@PinkPopcast yeah - then again this is a town that makes it's income off a theme park about religious fanatics responsible for mass genocide and theft of land that they called righteous work so I don't think that common sense is something often found amongst the residents of Jericho.
@@shania991 yeah. should've added 'but then there'd be no story'. LOL
@@agenttheater5 although I do agree about Tyler’s dad I find it weird he didn’t know his son was out here slaughtering people and they never said if he knew his wife was one and how she was able to hide it from them
I watch your reaction like five time just to hear My favourite son and Tyler 🤣
😂😂
It's typical - teenage daughter and mother relationship. Wednesday feels that her mom is trying to groom her to be just like her mother and she wants to be her own person.
Extremely late to the channel and party but the favorite son jokes are just cracking me up EVERY SINGLE TIME
I love the idea of Wednesday being the favourite son
And Tyler🤷♀️ 😂
Benji! You're right about Goody! It is a title, it was used to adress women of lower birth or poor or something like that!
Thank you 🙏
The guy seemed so normal 😂 yeah right
I am slightly disappointed you didn’t bring up the Antony Bridgerton bee shooting joke when Laurel started shooting the bees 😢
There is no way you are more disappointed in us than we are… We literally didn’t think about it until the premier was about to start lol
18:30 loved the Hermione reference
Never annoying! Tonight on CBS AT 8PM Eloise and The Queen, followed by Deputy Wednesday
Yes! Haha the PinkPop lineup
Shortly followed by "Disney Channel's The Princess Diaries present: a Princess Diaries Prequel
JUST CALL ME JOE, the Genovia Origins Season 1.
I love watching your reactions! I laughed so hard, and as always had a great time, tanks guys!
Our pleasure!❤️
Benji: Have you ever watched The Crucible?
Rizzo: the What???
🤦🏽♀️🤦🏻🤦🏿♂️
😂😂
#homeschooled
my question is when she was opening crackstone's tomb, why didn't she just take some of the blood from her head that was already there?
My guess is that she was trying to make it more painful for Wednesday
honestly, I hated every male character in this show, too. EXCEPT Eugene. I would have rioted if they killed him. I still wanted things to turn out differently for a certain male character :/
I think Rizzo needs to watch The Crucible, would be perfect for Halloween this year
i am a full wenclair shipper that hug had more chemistry then any of the boys scenes!
RIGHT!!?
38:18 Ok that's it. I'm requesting The Crucible to be the next movie to react to on this channel. And the crucible themed episode of 'Sabrina the Teenage Witch' (the 90s show specifically).
Wednesday is a teen. Teen girls and moms beefing is a tale as old as time
