Downside: my PC GPU is at 99% utilisation 80% of the time. Well i pay for whole GPU, WRC generations gonna use all GPU lmao

WRC games are good rally games I own 8 and 10 but for me they're a bit mediocre compared to Dirt Rally 2.0. Much as Generations looks like a step up I would only consider it when on sale.

As far as I can tell, and the thing that annoys me so much about the steering in these games is that the sensitivity doesn’t affect how fast your wheels turn left or right, which it does in dirt rally 2. Then when you release they snap back faster than they turned which makes the steering really inconsistent.

I don't quite get the comments whining about graphics. I'd much rather an enjoyable rally experience to "good graphics" any day of the weeks and this series has done that for me. I certainly prefer it to DiRT Rally 2.0 which often times just feels far too easy. That being said, these graphics aren't even bad to begin with, especially in a game where you aren't sitting still staring at the details, why must they be so good? Perhaps I'm biased because most of the games I play these days are from the 90's but games are more than their graphics.
Graphics are nice for when you sit back and watch a video of a rally. When I’m actually driving myself I don’t even have a second to really look at them.

I see the graphics comparison is not with the same wheater and condition, wrc generations have more start surrounding on and shadow rendition but I didn't see the difference showed in the video due to different conditions, it will be better comparison with identical condition.

No, 10 is way worse. It's a wannabe F1 simulator. The cars grip and accelerate and slow-down in incredibly unrealistic ways. They are extremely fast at everything, which is wrong. There's no complexity in the handling at all. Real-life cars are far slower, less grippy, clumsier, and critical to drive than in WRC 10. WRC Generations does everything better. In real life Group B cars aren't much faster than R5 cars on the average rally stage. The WRC games, and specially Dirt Rally, have exploited society's belief that Group B cars are incredibly fast and the fastest ever - but they are not. They are average for today's standards, and in some places they can be dog-slow. In rally, engine power is mostly useless. Suspensions, differentials, tires, and aerodynamics are way more important. I really like the design of the racing circuits, but it's clear that the game has stopped in time. Now it's Codemaster, it's going to improve everything, but the circuit designer is going to be boring, tiresome and cloying at the study level, otherwise everything will be better.
Apart from the Ford Fiesta WRC & the Yaris. Some cars like the Volkswagen Polo Rally and the Citron C3 Rally 2. The sound profile is almost there, but once you hit the rev limiter. It legit sounds like the sound is clipping. Like they tried to record these cars with a really old phone. Its a shame because some of the cars do sound better. The rev limiter of the 1997 Subaru is absolutely ridiculous and annoying. It sounds like someone is trying to open a door for which they dont have the code for in the game Rust. When I hit the rev limiter its the only thing I can think of. lol
Go for WRC 10. It feels a lot smoother to play. It also runs in 120 FPS while Generations doesn’t. I also like the more neutral looking graphics and I feel like the car sounds aren’t annoying.
Only better thing on wrc 10 is sense of speed bicause the outside cam have better position,in generations is the cam little to near on car and far cam is to high. Graphics, scope, sounds, physichs and everything else are better on generations.
The outside cam shouldnt be a thing in my opinion, just makes controller players want to play this. I think the wheel is a must on this game, i still like WRC 10 better as u mentioned the sense of speed and traction feels so much more satisfying. i have both games tho. somethings wrong about the generations. cars are likely some how floating on the road. this problem is messing up all experience. i tried but i couldn't like. driving feeling so bad. cars cannot touch to the road.

Generations is not even close to EA Sports WRC...it feels like a game from 2 previous generations compared to EA WRC. I say this because I have both games.
You have to get WRC 8 to play the beautiful Australia sadly, I wish they added all their previous stages not sure why they left it out I really liked those jungle looking tracks.
Honestly I enjoy dirt 2.0 as a rally game but the best rally type game in my opinion is dirt 4 but I've never played wrc and would give it a try before I judge it based off a video I watch
The graphics of WRC generation on the PS5 look absolutely horrible! I just bought it yesterday in PS store for 15€. I thought ok give it a try I'm not a huge rally fan but once in a while I like to have a rally game. It's ok from the handling and all but the graphics are the worst I've seen in a few years by now.

Since WRC9 was updated with proper controller steering I've been playing it a lot and I would consider getting Generations as well.

Wrc gen has better graphics but I prefer the handling of the wrc 10 as a pad player.
The physics on Generations seems off, somehow. The cars feel rather floaty. Makes no difference though. I still play the hell out of it 😄

Wrc10 car sounds are very bad and so similar for all cars, generation is much better even for play
