I love the whole concept behind the Terminator X and Terminator X Maxx. But a lot use the factory harness and ecu, because we need to pass emissions. You guys come out with a obd2 wire harness or let us know how to interface the obd2 with the Terminator X and I'm sold!
excellent video, well explained, I just bought the terminator X without the 3.5 display and I bought the 7 ”display, my question is, I can do the first steps as in the 3.5 display that asks you in wizard what injectors you are going to use and what engine do you have and be able to calibrate the tps or not?
While it’s super cool for tuning there’s plenty it’s missing if your like me,and would rather be able to control everything from one controller or laptop like you can do when tuning a stock ECM .. especially when doing LS swaps you run into issues where you cant use the stock systems for , accessories,without spending a arm and a leg..
This would be crazy cool if they added things like AC, 2 different fan speed controllers,for cooling and condensers,and say fan control for whatever you can come up with,like transmission coolers,or inter coolers ,plus a four wire /for 4 O2 sensors for both banks for those wanting to run CATTS..speed sensors for driveshafts and even suspension settings to change shocks and strut settings ,be nice to have a plug in for those QA1 settings while on the fly, 😊just take a little motor with a shaft or even a collar to just slide over the knobs on the side of the shocks, and no more climbing under the freaking cars..

Is there a way to re pin the terminator x for a different firing order? Also, could I load a base map for say a different DOHC V8?
I love how they say its plug and play, yeah with their harness but not with the stock harness. I love the ls engine but shit other manufacturers keep the same damn plug long enough for others to make TRUE plug and play ECMs .

So if I order the big screen to put in my dash to replace the stock gauges (water temp-oil pres-battery volts- and fuel level) in my 4th gen camaro... how will I read "know" how much fuel I have in my tank? Do I have to buy a aftermarket fuel gauge?

No obd2 , nice trick. Some of us need to pass emissions. All the videos I see promote all the features but let's be honest, obd2 is a must.
That is what I have been asking about since February! Not all of us can afford 2 cars. One race car and one daily driver.

@@stevenmarxs374 not true, the larger cities and countries across the country have emissions testing during road inspection. Even in parts of Texas you have to hook up to the odb2 so the emissions computer can check if everything is legal.

@@franklugo6928 its more for people who want a cost effective standalone solution to do ls swaps into older chassis or racecars. For a newer obd2 ls powered car you should just stick to the factory pcm and and use HPtuners software to tune and reflash it.

I believe it would require software specific to the 6 cylinder engine for proper operation since there are 2 fewer injectors and coils. Thx J

It can be but you will spend a lot of money to get the ignition and fuel system upgraded to work with it, rather then just buying an LS engine. thx J

@@AvatarNecron99 You would still need to replace the distributor with a dual sync style unit so you had both crank and cam signals. You would also have to upgrade to 8 individual "coil near plug" coils to work with the harness. Thx J

RH Othman, that is my slightly modified 1999 Dodge Dakota frame for a 1951 Studebaker 2R5 truck body. I mounted a 7" power brake booster and master cylinder under the floor to clean up the firewall and extra space in the engine bay. thx J

@@HolleyPerformance hey I have a question I have a 1989 Silverado I'm dropping a 5.3 and 4l60e from my parts truck it's a 2000 Silverado, if I buy this kit is it able to self tune or do I need to get my truck tunned for its stage 3 cam form tsp. If I get this will it be about plug and play style and the ecu is programmed and ready for me to turn the key and itll crank on .
@@joshuaavila8317 Yes Terminator X is a self-tuning EFI system that uses a wide band O2 sensor. Use our EFI selector to get the correct wiring harness that will connect to most all of the factory sensors on your engine. You will have to load a calibration to the ECU before start-up but we have plenty of videos To show you how to do the whole process. Thx J

Only retards run "true dual" exhaust so I doubt they really care. If you're too broke to buy/build a good exhaust system then you are probably never going to fork out the money for this EFI kit.

The Terminator x max can, it's 1300 bucks. I'm definitely not hating on holley, but it might still be cheaper to get hptuners if your on a budget and just make your own harness. If not then this is the way to go because it's a plug and play system.

Your company has the absolutely worst technical support I’ve ever seen in my life. And I hope you all are enjoying your weekends now that you don’t even offer any tech-support on Saturdays! Ordered a terminator X max and 5” display while on the phone with your “sales associate” after my dominator got turned into brick following your software upgrade videos. Xmax and display show up and doesn’t even have correct software for the ECU. So of course we go back online and follow your instructions on updating the brand new ECU and get the same exact message again that the software is incompatible with the ECU. Been building racing engines for 50 years and have a dealer account with your company, but when we call for technical support we get somebody who was probably working at Walmart two weeks ago. You are guys are doing a fantastic job if alienating your long-term customer base is your goal! there’s nothing user-friendly about your terminator X max right out of the box.

There are advanced tables, which many people have used for traction control. If you want real traction control, you need the Holley Dominator.

Thats not exactly true. Alot of engines run $300 and often times they make you pay for the harness and ecu seperately. Then you gotta get the ecu flashed for 150-250. Then if you change any component you gotta have it reflashed every single time. For $999 its a good price for a solid system.

I don't have any experience with them, and that would be a better question to ask of Dakota Digital. We however do have a full line up of digital and analog gauges to choose from. check them out! Thx J
