    One thing I forgot to mention. Scale the fuel table Axis the same as you do for the spark map. Serves same purpose for resolution, and easier on the brain when looking between the 2 table if the axis is the same.

    Great vid. Now for those starting. If you are just getting the system hooked up, do youself a favor and remove the spring from your wastegate and secure it open somehow. Do the same thing he showed on the vid up to WOT as NA. Then creep in on the bost a few pounds at the time. The computer does corections according to the target afr. But the o2 sensor is reading after the carnage may had happened. all it takes is that split second running it lean and the shiny parts will come out of the engine, and ur wallet. Take your time.

I saw yours had a ve table is the ve version better ? Or would it atleast be better to me since I’m comfortable with ve ? Was thinking on changing but I’m worried I’ll have to start from scratch tune wise … also right now seems to go out of the closed loop/ learning mode as soon as you touch the throttle any ideas why ? This is the smartest thing I've seen in my lifetime by Holley. They did to engine tuning what Gates did with windows years ago. They dont sell a cheap system, just sell 3 levels of control on same software. And they made efi set up as simple as using tuner on oem stuff. It can be a simple or complex as owner wants it. Ive watched HP and mega squirt stuff kinda just taper off anymore. Has to be 80% holley at the track or better anymore.

    • @dean7292
      @dean7292 3 роки тому +1

      @@knighthwk on the LS its always #7 that breaks a ringland. Lots of ideas behind why this happens but general consensus is it get hotter. So rings expand and pop the top of the ring land off. A little extra fuel in that cylinder could keep it cooler to prevent it.
      At least that is my understanding.

    Fantastic information, will be applying my new knowledge soon. Your target AFR numbers, (not fuel cell or compensation numbers) how does that compare between straight gasoline compared to E-85? We don't have that fuel in my area, but with the ethanol content I'm curious if the target numbers differ between the two in regards to EFI. Presumably a carb would have more fuel metering in all circuits compared to gasoline. Thanks!

    @briancroneberger9243 3 роки тому

    Fantastic video, this video just shows how well the Holley software and hardware actually works. One thing that I've never seen before though, why did you pull a degree and add fuel to cylinder #7? Does the cylinder typically run hot in all LS engines or something?

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  3 роки тому +2

      On boosted LS setups especially, the cylinder leans out and is typically the first piston to crack or have issues. Very common failure on the stock LS pistons. Pull timing and add a little fuel helps prevent the failure.

    great video, so generally you don’t even worry about a content sensor and just set the fuel map for the fuel you plan to use? what happens with the variance in pump e85? i assume the ecu will want to make corrections if the pump mixture is not consistent

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  3 роки тому +2

      It will correct. Fuel, but womd adjust timing like you could with a content sensor.

  • @codyrugnetta
    @codyrugnetta Рік тому

    Thanks for the info. A lot of knowledge. I have 2 question. Are the instructions for the terminator max for LS e explain everything in detail like you did in the video? 2- If I wanna run a street application and occasionally run E 85 for a little bit spicier tune. Can I just write two separate tunes instead of hooking up a flex fuel sensor? Thanks for the vids. Keep it up

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  Рік тому

      The instructions don't really have much(if any) tuning info. Yes, you can switch back and forth between tunes. I've also just dumped different fuel in and the closed loop adjustment will correct for it, but it will not change the timing. So if you have an e85 tune in, but fill the tank with 91 the AFR will adjust, but timing would be too aggressive.

    Just curious..... Why did you select 43psi on the handheld and not 60psi? I thought ls engines were supposed to have 60psi at the rails? Is it because you're running a much bigger fuel pump? • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  3 роки тому +2

      Really the only reason people say they're supposed to be 60 is because the factory calibrations on the factory ecu are set for 58-60lbs. So if you're using a factory ecu, factory injectors and don't want any tuning done 58-60lbs is where it should be to work best. My injectors have 43lb and 58lb flow rate specs, and they seem to idle better at the lower pressure.

      I updated it. Doesn't have sep210's only goes up to 1500, unless they added 210s in the last few weeks.

      Correct. Sensor is only if you want to make additional corrections based on content. Change timing etc.

      I have heard of that happening, but I'm not sure what the solution was. If its in a different folder or something.

    It’s that easy with terminator x shit🚙 you can do it your self? I wouldn’t even know my timing thing how do you judge that bro, I ordered the terminator x set up for my Ford mod motor stroker

    • @BlaserBuilds
      @BlaserBuilds  3 роки тому

      Yes you can completely tune it yourself. I would start with learning as much as you can about tuning theory, and find some known good tune files to reference for similar set up to yours.
