Imagine immigrating to another country (a big one), going to the trouble of becoming a citizen, & then being called randomly to a jury for the first criminal trial of a recent president 😅 top that story.
criminal is a criminal; all countries big/small have them and politicians are one of the worst kinds of criminals. Apart from the jury duty itself being a story, there isn't much I can see in this given that the defendant has a long list of cases lined up against him and his presidency had been an international joke

Interviewing the dismissed jurors is the most interesting reporting that I've seen in many days. They all are very honest.

I loved these interviews. The third guy was helpful to me--he said because he satirized Trump he knew he could be perceived as prejudiced. That kind of clarity in thinking is really appreciated.
Honesty is refreshing in this World.
All four rooms should have one-way window glass. So that way no one can see the jury that has been selected. That would keep them much safer. against attorneys and the one who is on trial.
That won’t be possible. If you’ve ever been for jury duty, both lawyers are there and they take part in the selection. Either way, they will know

Out of 193 recognized countries in the world only 54 i think use the jury system for criminal trials and only one uses it for civil trials. I think that may have been what the reporter was trying to infer but it didn't come out that way at all.

If these three potential jurors were pushed into serving I think they would have been fair. If the jurors who are ultimately selected are as honest as these three seem to be then maybe a "mole" won't get through to taint the verdict. And that is my biggest fear as some are calling for them to come out and intentionally lie to get on the jury. I feel that anyone who would want to be a juror on this case must have a bias, one way or the other. I'm honestly praying that Justice prevails here.

I wonder how many people have had their finances and credit destroyed by serving on a jury.
Being forced to serve on a jury and being paid nothing or a pittance, or at the very least leas than you would earn is a form of involutary servitude which should be ruled unconstitutional. The court should pay jurors what they would have made if they were not doing jury duty, and pay their employers compensation for taking an employee away from their job.

When the NY appeals court panel disregarded Judge Engoron's 92-page legally reasoned opinion in favor of Trump, they rewarded him for publicly spewing ugly slurs, denigrating, threatening and endangering Judge Engoron, his clerk, his family, and A.G. Letitia James and her entire office. Please keep the NY appeals judges under public pressure to uphold Judge Engoron's ruling.
