Great in-depth introduction to this drone. Just goes to show, straight out the box it’s relatively easy to fly and achieve good video and pictures. What a contrast from the constant humming from the blades for the pilot(?), to the theatrical overlay we consumers hear. Looking forward to seeing some aerial shots of your next wild camps/ tent reviews! ATB

No problem. Just to let you know I've crashed this three times now (my fault) and its survived except the last one (hit a tree about 40ft up) it dropped.strsight down and busted one of the leg stands. Luckily they have spares to order so for £20 I've got a new one coming along with other spares in the pack. Decent service and strong drone. 👍
@@NoviceWildCamper maybe it would be worth getting one with obstacle sensors then? I also wanted one to follow me when snowboarding but this doesn't seem like it will work
It will follow you. Problem is with obstacle sensors and follow you you're looking at dji mini 3 which is a fortune in comparison. If budgets not an issue then the mini 3 will do everything you need.

Is there a way to land the drone without using 'return to home'? The only thing I can figure is to lower the drone to the ground then use emergency stop - but seems like there has to be a better way.
I must admit I can't remember. I haven't used it in a while and the last few times I landed it I caught it with my hands as I broke one of the landing legs in a small accident. Totally my fault. I'm sure there's a way to land fully though.

On the other Hand, the drone only works 15 to 17 minutes because of the automatic Rth (return to home) for the low battery reason.
they announce a run of 28 minutes per battery.

Hi. I must admit I haven't full tested the battery time. I habe found that with most drones they never reach the manufacturers specified time due to differing wind conditions but should only rth when it's so low it won't get back if you leave it any longer. My battery was pretty low when the rth kicked in and i didn't want to push it for fear of losing it.
Hi , Will you say the camera stabilization and video Quality is good?
Video quality is very good. Stabilisation is excellent too. The only negative I've found is when panning it's not as smooth as I'd like and hard to get slow circular panning so I now tend to fly it sideways instead however that's not quite the same. Great piece of kit for the money though. 👍
What is the largest size memory card I can purchase for this drone?

Will the phone slide into the fold out grips?
Yes as per the video you can see my galaxy s20 ultra in the phone grip so it should fit most phones.
how can you see the phone display in the sunlight?
Same way I can see my phone display in the sunlight every day 🤷🏼♂️.

Good drone for the price. I've since changed up to a dji mini3 Pro though as the camera quality just isn't anywhere near the dji amd that's what I'm really looking for.
Compare this drone to dji air 2?
I no longer have it. I now have the mini 3 Pro and it bests it hands down. There no real comparison to dji on cheaper drones That's for sure.

I flew today and got video but no audio didn't know if audio came from drone or handset but mic was on blue so any suggestions
Drone won't record audio. All you would hear is the motor. I'm not sure if the mic is something I missed or a software update but I've never recorded audio from it only via screen recorder.

Possibly the same under a different name. A lot of companies do this for competition.

You only went out to just over 200 m. Are you not showing the range of the drone?? I noticed that most of you people who do drone reviews especially when the company send you the damn drone you never go beyond 200 m and you don't show the real screen recording you show the SD card recording so the buying public thinks that they're going to be getting that image on their phone when they're flying the drone and that's not the truth. If you're really not a fraud then can you please do a video where you send this damn drone out 3 km which is what the main claim of this product is. If you're not going to show that there's no reason to do the video. Cuz there's a whole lot of drones out there that do great video and all that stuff that are not long range drones. So why have a drone that goes 3 km if you're not going to show it
Calm down buddy. It was my first.time flying it. There's plenty of reviews of people flying this drone to 3km with the view on their phone. If and when I get the chance to do the same I will but at the end of the day the whole point in having am SD card in it is so that you use that for the footage not a screen recording otherwise why put an SD card slot in it? Look at the new DJI mini 3. If you have the DJI RC package you don't use a phone so can't do a screen recording. No one posts videos of drone screen recordings on their films but from the SD recording. No need to get all het up about it. Only so much I can cover but keep tuned and you'll see when I do it. 👍

Why not get the drone and make your perfect review yourself?
I recently purchased this drone and thus far I am very happy with its capabilities out of the box. I do not believe this drone is worth any amount over $400 but if you pay less than that you will be getting value for the cost. That being said, I am very happy with the stability of the F11GIM2 when flown with moderate wind speeds. The 4k camera is good and has zoom ability but you cannot take pictures/videos when zoomed as the camera won't and the picture is worse the more you zoom in. The image/video is excellent with no zoom. I do wish the gimble speed for rotating the camera from 0 (straight ahead) to -90 (looking straight down) was faster.
For an out of the box drone, I still have to give them 4.5 stars for the capabilities and ease of use. This is certainly a fantastic beginner's drone. As stated in the video, it is very important that you study for and test to get your Part 107 license and here is a good place to start: www.thedroneu.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/03/MASTER-107-Study-Guide2.pdf
Cheers Tony. Yes it's a good drone but if they had a 90 degree horizontal tilt and also a smoother pan mode it would be massively improved.
