Wow. Really nice. For someone who would use this as a hobby you can't beat the price. Thanks for always being honest in your reviews. Give me great peace of mind when purchasing items. 👍
Great review Andrew, very interesting. It’s amazing what you can get this day and age, technology never stops. Love your property, it’s beautiful. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
I paid $350 for mine also and this is my first drone. I am also waiting on a Mini 3 Pro DJI. I wanted something I could take with me and not worry too much about crashing so the Ruko was a perfect price point. I am hoping the batteries dont crap out after a year or so but that is the nature of the beast. I really like the Ruko and does great video for the price. Easy to fly and easy on the wallet. I did notice it doesnt like the hot direct sun but I imagine most drones do not.
That looks identical to my Contixo F35, but I just compared the specs, and this one definitely has "new guts" in it. 🚨FANTASTIC TIP!! Definitely calibrate before each and every flight!🚨 I forgot to do that once and the thing almost took my Mom's head off and eventually stopped freaking out when it crashed into an oak tree. Luckily it fell to the ground and I only cracked one of the front landing pads and trashed a couple blades. Spare parts are available online relatively cheap, so I have spare landing pads and plenty of blades now too. Needless to say, my mom wasn't all that impressed with drone technology after the only time she's seen one in action, lol.
I think I have the same drone Andrew, it's an awesome drone. I even got an available to post a review on it and got a third battery for free mailed to me. I would love to here about the licensing process.
Congrats on the part 107, that test can be a b!tch! Looks like you are having a great time with the new drone. They really are amazing tools and just flat fun to fly imho.
Agree. Reading sectional charts, checking NOTAMS and most of the material has nothing to do really with drone operation. Good info to be aware of but really. Good ol government for ya.
I’m a year late on this video but, I just recently seen them on sale during Amazon 2 day sale so I wrote Ruko and asked if they would match the price. They not only agreed but said they would give a free accessories with it, so I bought 2. One for my wife and myself. 48% off- can’t beat that. I wanted to get it directly from Ruko cos I heard they had mad some improvements and I didn’t want one coming out of a Wharehouse.
It's amazing what technology has given us in just the last 10 years 😀 back in the day when you tried to fly and RC helicopter you pretty much had to be helicopter pilot these with the modern tiny accelerometers fixed everything 👍
A really nice drone...I have been looking for one that is affordable. That drone is now listed at $460...wish I could have caught it in the mid three hundreds :)
Thanks for the vid, I just bought this arriving tomorrow for me in the UK, But in the UK I need to know do a "Flying drones and model aircraft" test to get a Flyer ID & Operator ID, plus a £20 yearly subscription so that I am compliant, but on the first days I get this, feck the system..:)
Does this drone have geo fencing? The reason I'm asking is 1 of the places I'll most likely fly is an open field but is close to an Air National Guard base.
Hi, Andrew! Thanks for all the research and time you spend putting together these videos. Be sure to check out Daniel Arms post today. It’s about his chocolate lab Bella. How was your lo mein Sunday?
It is a great drone for the money however I'm getting the mini clone of the DJI 2se by potensic atom with a 3 axis gimbal for 400.00 or so with batteries an carrying case an a SD ,it shoots in 4k as well,it's just better to get the fly more combo for the price ,249 I believe for 2 batteries, just perfect for me for camp adventures an for recreational purposes, however I would in future when I get better apply for my 107 license to make money with my drone.
I have the same drone.. my first go at recording my picture quality is horrible. I know a lot of it is moving to fast but does your micro SD card have a lot to do with picture and video quality? I was using a 32 micro SD card
If the channel is not monetized you should be okay just having your Trust test that is required for anyone flying recreationally (you can't fail it lol). Also you need to pick a CBO (community based organization) under which you are flying and adhere to their rules. Of course that is only if the law comes calling on you.
If you are currently making money on the content or ever plan to, you need to have the license. Just for fun and never plan to monetize your content, your good to go and don't need to worry about the part 107.
Only question I have , does it have the return to home feature and where in home where it took off or the remote? I been wanting to do some video off of mt work boat, thanks for the great video
I don't know personally, your supposed to stay within line of sight. But I watched a guy go a mile before he turned around. It goes farther than my old DJI.
Great video. Did the DJI always have a short run time or just as the batteries have aged the run time suffered? I know once I bought new batteries for mine it was like a new drone all over again with the original longer run time. You’ll have to do another review in a year or so (or just make a comment in one of the videos where you have some drone footage) and let us know how this one is holding up and how the battery life is after a bunch of charging cycles.
Very nice drone! I’ve got to lookup the legalities of drones.. someone has flown one over my house a few times. I guess I don’t own the air, just a little privacy invasion seems to me 🔫
thank you for talking about part#107 you need to register the F11GIM2 with the FAA and take the TRUST test before you ever fly the drone failing to do so can result in fines and or jail time all of you content creators that make this look like you can "buy and fly" do a dis-service to the hobby of drone flying
The test is NOT required to fly a drone. That is only if you are using it for business purposes and or making any kind of income. It is buy and fly other than a quick registration with the FAA for hobbiests.
Why is it you can make all the money you want with a camera but with a drone, you have to pass the Part 107! Do people have to pass a test like the Part 107 to own a gun or a assault weapon? I don't think so! I would say that it is unbelievable that there are more regulations and restrictions on drones than guns and assault weapons! But it's America!
I got one for Christmas. Absolutely love it. Amazing views and astonishingly steady in winds. So much fun.
Wow. Really nice. For someone who would use this as a hobby you can't beat the price. Thanks for always being honest in your reviews. Give me great peace of mind when purchasing items. 👍

Another great vid!!!! Please do one on your process to get the part 107.
What a beautiful sight with this drone. Thank you for this tutorial. Amen
Thank you for watching, God bless.
1st comment. Yes Andrew please do a video on the drone license
Actually Chris got you!
@@TKCL 😲 who let him out 🧀 🪤

Great informative video. Just received my F11 Gim 2. Being my first drone, glad I picked a winner.....👍👍
Yes on the license video!!!
That is a great Ruko F11 some amazing videos, can't wait to see more like watching tractor work and fishing trips!
Coming soon!
Thats what I like ,,,,A no BS review. Thank you, my friend. Ordering mine now.
Still using mine, other than the mentioned camera shake it's been a pleasure to fly and use.
Great review Andrew, very interesting. It’s amazing what you can get this day and age, technology never stops. Love your property, it’s beautiful. 👍👍❤️❤️🇨🇦
Technology is moving so fast!
Andrew, that was a soothing video, I like the Ruger was laying there when you took off. Ruger is fun to watch he definitely loves his master.
Thank you for watching
just bought the new ruko f11 gim2, sawe ur video and saw ur close to 100k, so i subscribed! thanks for the video, and GL!

Mine is still performing well, excellent battery life.
Good review perfect
I just ordered this Drone, I cant wait to get it.
It's very easy to fly, only gripe is that little bit of vibration I mentioned in the camera.
Great video
Glad you enjoyed it
Awesome video. 🤠

Using the Mini 3 Pro now from DJI with my Part 107. I have four 47 minute batteries. Amazing at the capability of these things!
I just got one of these today! I like it a lot so far, but the 107 license I’m interested in!!
Yes please also do a video of the flight 107 pilot process,i am intrigued.
Very good review. thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
They must be pushing them on the market. Another channel i follow just got the same one. He loves it
Interesting

Congrats on the part 107, that test can be a b!tch! Looks like you are having a great time with the new drone. They really are amazing tools and just flat fun to fly imho.
I literally had more airplane related questions than anything drone related. Made no sense to me.
Agree. Reading sectional charts, checking NOTAMS and most of the material has nothing to do really with drone operation. Good info to be aware of but really. Good ol government for ya.
Not only that, I had 5 questions on G forces and how to load an actual airplane. Also wanted to know what affects would happen by shifting loads 😳
Great video! I would definitely love to see you do an explanation video on the Part 107 license.
That's a great price for a 4k drone!
I agree, a few minor complaints. But hard to be picky for that price!
thanks for the review, I've been trying to decide between GIM2 and the Mavic, but now I'm sure the GIM2 is the way to go.
Other than the slight camera shake that I mentioned, it's been a solid drone.
Nice!! 🙂

A really nice drone...I have been looking for one that is affordable.
That drone is now listed at $460...wish I could have caught it in the mid three hundreds :)
Amazon has a $90 coupon. If you check that box, the cost would be $369.99.
Correct, click that coupon I was telling you about.
I like the video, and would like for you to do a video on obtaining your 107 drone certification please.
Good review! Yes, I would like to know about your Part 107 licensing experience. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for watching!
yea the spark is a older drone so batter life was crappy, my friend had one while i have the dji mavic mini which i like a lot
I've heard good things about that model
Also the potensic atom weighs less than 250 grams, otherwise anything over that your supposed to register it anyway, but people don't.
I like it always wanted one .. might just have bite the bullet and get it .
Hard to beat at that price! Be good for scoping out new hunting spots 😉
@@TKCL the link comes up to one that’s $459
Look in the middle of the page, $100 off coupon on Amazon.
What about anti-collision features like the DJI usually have?
I've not seen that feature available on this model
Does this drone have geo fencing? The reason I'm asking is 1 of the places I'll most likely fly is an open field but is close to an Air National Guard base.
I don't believe it does, they do have a new model out that might have that feature.

Not sure, mine gets shaky with a lot of gimbal up and down movement. If I am smooth the picture looks fine.
Noise?
No louder than my other drone
Which app do you use for th his drone?
The Ruko app
Need you a car port

I know nothing about drones, but I was wondering if it can return to its starting point automatically.
Yes it does once the battery gets low.
@@TKCL that’s really good.
Do you need a Part 107 if you are flying only on your own land even if its for a youtube channel?

Yes it does, you can set the altitude and more it will return home at. Does this automatically with low battery or you can take over.
@@TKCL thanks is the return to home where it took off from or is the remote the home?
Where it takes off from is my understanding. Have not tested that yet.
@@TKCL thank you
Amazon has on sale for $254!
Make for sure it's the GIM2 version and not the original F11.
@@TKCL Thanks, That price was for F11 Pro. The GIM 2 is $459! Thanks for pointing that out!
USB-C battery charging is a huge plus...wish DJI would adopt that feature....
DJI needs to improve several things, they make excellent drones but really lack in a couple of areas.
@@TKCL true....true
Andrew, how far away can the drone get from you and still be controlled?
I don't know personally, your supposed to stay within line of sight. But I watched a guy go a mile before he turned around. It goes farther than my old DJI.

It was always short, never had good battery life.
Nice. Seems like a good deal. So what is a typical battery run time?
Depends on many factors, wind, sport mode, being stationary. I'm averaging to 20 minutes VS 10-12 with my old drone.
Very nice drone! I’ve got to lookup the legalities of drones.. someone has flown one over my house a few times. I guess I don’t own the air, just a little privacy invasion seems to me 🔫
Understand that, according to the FAA we don't own the sky. Airports and government do in certain areas.
Is this drone too much for a newbie?
Not at all, I find it very easy to fly. Just take it slow until you learn the controls.
Do yourself a favor and look into the DJI Mini 2 SE for 339.00. Much more superior drone.
Wow those have gotten affordable. I have the Spark, loved it other than the poor battery life.
