I have CPTSD and adhd. I’ve noticed that when I specifically started addressing my adhd symptoms I saw a huge improvement in my trauma
Have you read this article? theworkoutwitch.com/blogs/news/the-overlap-of-adhd-and-c-ptsd
I was having so many of these symptoms for years, and it was starting to really impact how i handled my job. On day 7 of your course and I feel so much better. Im able to focus better in meetings, my memory is improving and I'm starting to feel this inner rage that I've kept bottled up inside starting to dissipate.
I am so happy for you!!
I feel called out for my coping mechanisms

Thank you for your validation! I have experienced and still frequently experience many if not all of these Symptoms either in clusters or sporadically...depending on the behaviours of my ex. I'm currently working with a therapist to be more cognizant about My behaviour in response to his and make changes in my life based on CBT and continue to move forward in a positive direction toward Freedom and Happiness. 🙏🏼❤😊
I am so glad you are a part of this community! Sharing your experience encourages others to start their healing journey too. You are so strong.
Wow! My therapist said my (undiagnosed) ADHD is really big. But I also have collected two rounds of CPTSD. I’ve been so discouraged about how debilitating my ADHD has become. But this video gives me hope that as I continue to heal from the traumas my ADHD will be manageable. Thank you for giving me hope.

Hoarding. Not like the gross kind you see on that show though with the rodents, roaches and feces everywhere. More like the kind where I'm unable to get rid of things I no longer use or need. Books I'm finished reading, clothes that no longer fit, items that need to be repaired that I just never got around to fixing, makeup I bought that doesn't look right, etc.
Thank you for sharing. It sounds like you're dealing with a form of hoarding that's more about attachment to items than extreme clutter. Regulating your nervous system with somatic exercises can offer you more clarity and peace of mind in cluttered spaces.
I’m a hot mess

I only caught the first one "difficulty concentrating," and then my brain spiraled off for the remainder of the time about something that was said between me and my therapist at my last appointment that I'm really struggling with and getting anxious over. 😂😂😂😂
I'm so sorry.. that's sad.
I laugh at those things too but THAT is another coping mechanism 😔
It's easier to laugh than truly feel and own how hurtful and/or frustrated we feel about something..
But I'm finally learning (after decades of masking) THAT is the reason we are here.
We bottle up our true emotions.. don't think it's a big deal to disregard it but our subconscious and our nervous system doesn't forget..
And eventually it all catches up.
We don't have to react necessarily but at least be honest when something hurts.
(Although I definitely recommend doing that in safe spaces, like here, where other people can relate and understand because I made the mistake of sharing a tiny bit of a hurtful experience in a comment section last week (after 40 years of holding things in) finally learning to try and let it out and the first reply was telling me to "cry about it.. that's life, man up" it was hurtful but I didn't let it sit with me.
It's difficult sharing thoughts and feelings, most people don't realize how vulnerable traumatized people feel but they also don't seem to care.
Just know that I hope you can either resolve or let go of whatever you're struggling with.

Acknowledge
I'm sorry to hear that your husband may not be acknowledging or addressing the challenges you're facing. It can be incredibly difficult when the support we need isn't readily available. Your feelings are valid, and you deserve understanding and support.
How to resolve the trauma ?
Somatic exercises can be incredibly effective for that. 😊 Check out the link I shared for some helpful techniques: rb.gy/85vk8

You would think the antidepressants would help, but they don’t seem to for me with my anxiety.
And the behaviors (avoidant especially for me) are obviously still there and going to be an issue because a drug doesn’t help with that.
Antidepressants just dismiss problems and cause depression and anxiety as side effect.
I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with anxiety despite taking antidepressants. It can be incredibly frustrating when medication doesn't provide the relief we hope for, especially when dealing with complex issues like anxiety and avoidance behaviors. While medication can be a helpful tool for some, it's important to explore other avenues of support. Remember, finding the right combination of treatment methods takes time and patience, and you deserve support in finding what works best for you.
Wow is all i can say just wow
I am glad it resonated

@@theworkoutwitch Wow, dang. Good information, thank you!
This is unspecific and could as well be symptoms of adhd. As cptsd and adhd tend to overlap it’s best not to self diagnose on UA-cam but to seek a professional diagnosis. ADHD and trauma come oftentimes hand in hand as being neurodivergent leads to trauma many times.
Please don’t self diagnose and look for professional support.
