Nah this is fax I’ve always felt with how messy the released tracklist on streaming services was compared to the more cohesive listening parties that Donda was meant to be made your own with your own sequencing
I think this is Kanye`s way of giving you 100% control over the track list and which versions of the song you want to listen to. Already created a playlist called "fixed Donda".
Everyone’s Donda is different. I just did my own tracklist earlier. It’s such a great feeling taking the tracks you know and love and turning it into a project with a meaning better to you. It makes it more powerful
im just SUPER happy the original keep my spirit alive is there again! i just made a playlist of donda with all my favourites and in my prefered order. super happy he did it
I don’t think this is a big deal since it’s just a deluxe, just listen to former in it’s full and just pick out one’s from the deluxe as if they’re bonus tracks. I think artists are starting to do this with deluxes nowadays so people listen all the way through for more streams, I saw this last year at least with Wunna’s deluxe by Gunna and a few others.
It feels strange now… was bloated already who ever thought that different songs sequencing is going to improve the album is delusional. I think it’s Kanye himself is just testing his fan base even further I don’t need 2 versions of the same song on the album
I think the deluxe version added some great tracks, life of the party and up from the ashes add a lot imo. that being said I think that he should have just removed all of the part twos and just selected essentially the best version of the songs, but have this all be just the main album. Then for the deluxe version have all of the part 2s at the end. Do you think that would have been better?
I feel that Donda is meant to be more of an experience than an album and that, along with the stem player, you should make your own Donda. Don't like part 1? Remove it and replace it with part 2. Hate song order? Mix and match since the songs don't have a definitive continuity. I like the deluxe better than the original
I’m personally glad this deluxe got released. I took the 3 songs added in the deluxe and used just placed them into spots I felt with well with the original track list (Up From The Ashes after 24, Never Abandon Your Family after Heaven and Hell and Life Of The Party after Donda) as well as replacing Remote Control and KMSA with their Pt 2s do it kinda just made for an overall better listening experience. You can just kinda stuck them into the original how I did to your liking and it raises the albums score by a point for me.
I just put those 3 tracks as bonus (and remove the part twos) first life of the party, them up from the ashes and never abandon your family (I like Donda’s voice has the final vocals) also keep the original KMSA with Kaycyy. Also I put the all the part 2 in another playlist. The version of life of the party that I put as a bonus on the original Donda is the Single and explicit version not the deluxe and clean version.
Even as a Kanye fan, i feel this is Kanye’s most messy album rollout since TLOP. Guarantee the only reason he released it when he did was to one-up Drake. The album was never finished he just wanted to release before CLB. He is one of the greatest artists of our generation but he allows Drake to live in his head rent free.
@@callmeinfested except he is now going doing interviews talking about the album and releasing music videos and the deluxe version, clearly he did actually mean to release it. The thing about the label releasing it without his permission was only because jail pt2 wasn't on the album initially
I just updated my original Donda with this: Never abandon your family before Ok Ok Life of the Party before Moon Up from the ashes before Come to life All part 2's are at the end as 'extra'. With that, Donda is an absolute 10/10 for me. Just sad that I have to do it myself instead of Kanye doing it, doesn't feel right. Loved how all Ye albums previously had an arc and meaning to sequencing
To keep dondas relevancy high, he's likely gonna release a version of the deluxe with similar structure to the original donda, it just seems like a Kanye thing to do tbh
I was really hoping Donda was gonna be improved with time, I feel like the pieces were always there but it didn't quite come together for me. Doesn't seem like that's happening with this one tho
The non-deluxe Donda hasn’t been removed from streaming so I’ll just continue to listen to that and add the bonus songs to my playlists. But yeah this deluxe sequencing is pretty stupid.
Come to Life works fucking incredibly near the end of the record. I think No Child Left Behind also works very well as a come down from that beautiful moment. It makes no fucking sense why they’re not only separated but they’re in the middle of the tracklist now
I think the sequencing is messed up on the assumption/intention that people will mix and match their own version of the album through playlists. I'm not sure why you'd even want to listen to the full 32 tracks anyway
Donda would be 10/10 if; Remove the Pop Smoke song Remove all the Pt.2 songs Kept the Kaycyy version of Keep My Spirit Alive Kept Pusha T and Kanye on the song "DONDA" Left original track order from the 2nd live performance of the album Remove Glogabgabgalab from Remote Control
I’m glad I was able to download Donda before the changes, but the fact that Keep My Spirit Alive got a part 2, and the only change is the KayCyy chorus is pretty weird.
Additional tracks I'm totally cool with. Love having Life of the Party on there for example, I needed a high quality version of that 3000 verse. The ordering I agree is just weird now though. That should've been the same.
But if you want the original album sequence the updated version didn’t change the album order I feel like I’ll only come to the deluxe for Life of the Party and Remote Control Part 2
If “Ye’s” name was not attached to this Deluxe album, I would of thought that some random person would of made this a playlist and did not care of the seq. and just played it in shuffle.
I remember when Donda first dropped it was a big trend to mix the songs into a playlist and make your own track order, but this shit is kind of ridiculous.
The Deluxe proves how customizable the album is in a streaming service that emphasizes playlists, not that its the INTENDED tracklist. Case in point the STEM player that allows you to customize which sound is played.
The sequencing was always off from the initial release of Donda. What I found was that there we’re actually 2 different albums mixed into one super long album. And this initial list out songs out of sonic contrast making amazing songs like “Believe What I Say” feel odd and out of place, essentially making it a skip track because of how it brought you out of the sonic vibe being built through the album. So from very early I identified which songs had that brighter gospel feel that meshed with “Believe” and sequenced them together going after a resequencing of the darker trap/drill tracks which had an amazing sound and feel fully cohesive together. This gave me pretty much a double album with album consisting of: Album 1: Never Abandon, Jail, God Breathed, Off The Grid, Hurricane, Praise God, Wash Us In The Blood (trust me it fits perfectly), Ok Ok part 2, Heaven And Hell, Tell The Vision (full song from Pop Smoke’s album Faith), Jesus Lord, and Come To Life completing album 1. Album 2 consists of: Donda, Believe What I Say, Junya, Remote, Life Of The Party, Moon, Keep My Spirit, New Again, Lord I Need You, Pure Souls, Up From The Ashes, No Child Left Behind. This is the best way to listen to Donda. If it was released like this it would be regarded as one of Kanye’s best ever and album of the year. Both albums 1 and 2 being amazing but different listening experiences. D they even flow nicely into each other if you listen to them back to back. Everything gets slotted into context. I just wish Donda was released in this fashion.
I liked Hurricane, Moon and Life of The Party being the 1-2-3 but after that the order is super weird. Love the improvements and changes he made but the order is kinda dumb lol

Jail is a fucking PERFECT song to start off the record. What the fuck.
I think this is Kanye`s way of giving you 100% control over the track list and which versions of the song you want to listen to. Already created a playlist called "fixed Donda".
With the stem players released I’m sure that’s exactly the point.
Everyone’s Donda is different. I just did my own tracklist earlier. It’s such a great feeling taking the tracks you know and love and turning it into a project with a meaning better to you. It makes it more powerful
im just SUPER happy the original keep my spirit alive is there again! i just made a playlist of donda with all my favourites and in my prefered order. super happy he did it
Agree, I only had 10 on it 11 now thanks to life of the party THANK FUCKING GOD HE PUT IT ON STREAMING
The Glabgogabgalab has the strongest performance on this album. Don't even try to fight me about that
In all seriousness the full globglogabgalab verse is fire
No cap fr.
He made changes to the former that were kinda lame though, the actual original doesn't exist without you having to make a playlist of your own
@@nathanmartin1973 it exists on Spotify 😎
Yeah i agree, needed globglobglobglob.
Saying he RUINED donda feels like a stretch but he didn't improve it.
It’s def improved
It feels strange now… was bloated already who ever thought that different songs sequencing is going to improve the album is delusional. I think it’s Kanye himself is just testing his fan base even further
I don’t need 2 versions of the same song on the album
I think the deluxe version added some great tracks, life of the party and up from the ashes add a lot imo. that being said I think that he should have just removed all of the part twos and just selected essentially the best version of the songs, but have this all be just the main album. Then for the deluxe version have all of the part 2s at the end. Do you think that would have been better?
yes it would
that would make the most sense
I feel that Donda is meant to be more of an experience than an album and that, along with the stem player, you should make your own Donda. Don't like part 1? Remove it and replace it with part 2. Hate song order? Mix and match since the songs don't have a definitive continuity. I like the deluxe better than the original
“Best versions” are subjective. I prefer DaBaby version of Jail and others prefer the Jay Z version
Wow those "anthony pls review donda deluxe" are gonna be pissed
We begged for Donda so much that ye legit dropped 3 Dondas.
I personally would put Life Of The Party after Keep My Sprit Alive and before Jesus Lord.
He really coulda took off “Tell The Vision” and replaced that entirely with “Life Of The Party” it coulda easily been apart of the OG track list
Melon make your own track list order so I know what sequencing is the correct one
Somebody call Rick Rubin real quick.
You can't just whisper "Donda" into the microphone for 7 minutes and call it a "review update", Anthony
God these jokes got so old so fast
These jokes are so fucking overused
@@andyboom6462 who cares? Just enjoy life man. No need to get worked up over an overused joke. It's all just in the name of fun.
"mom-honoring epic" is a beautiful phrase
can’t believe Dunkey’s Donda ended up being the best one
Anthony taking advantage of YT getting rid of the dislike button
Pretty sure Ye is on his 2018 timing, he got a forgotten tracks playlist otw
I just wish he’d put the Pusha verse back on
Srsly why no Donda pt 2?

Even as a Kanye fan, i feel this is Kanye’s most messy album rollout since TLOP. Guarantee the only reason he released it when he did was to one-up Drake. The album was never finished he just wanted to release before CLB. He is one of the greatest artists of our generation but he allows Drake to live in his head rent free.
the label released without his permission, which makes sense since it's so unfinished
@@callmeinfested and you believe that???Kanye will do what Kanye wants to do because he’s KANYE. Greatest artist of our gen btw
@@xodeez listen to tell the vision, no way the "Greatest Artist of our gen" listened to that song and thought it was finished bro.
@@callmeinfested except he is now going doing interviews talking about the album and releasing music videos and the deluxe version, clearly he did actually mean to release it. The thing about the label releasing it without his permission was only because jail pt2 wasn't on the album initially
Remote Control pt 2 got the full Globgolabgalab verse. No way anyone can hate on this tape
one of the things that makes me think there isn’t meant to be an order to this one is No Child Left Behind not being last, it’s such an obvious closer
@@Teezy13 nahhh come to life
I'm so disappointed that Spongebob, Patrick, or Mr. Krabs didn't make it on to the deluxe.
Just saw the title and I already know Anthony is wrong
No
he's right but the normal donda is still a masterpiece
I just updated my original Donda with this:
Never abandon your family before Ok Ok
Life of the Party before Moon
Up from the ashes before Come to life
All part 2's are at the end as 'extra'.
Life of the party is probably my favourite Donda track.
The DMX outro gets me every time. Such a beautiful song
No he did not melon, you’re just jealous you dont have the life of the party that kanye and andre have.
It would’ve been a 10 if Mr. Krabs were on it.
I've been waiting for up from the ashes for a long time
I was really hoping Donda was gonna be improved with time, I feel like the pieces were always there but it didn't quite come together for me. Doesn't seem like that's happening with this one tho
i actually liked that he moved all the great songs to the front (except for jesus lord)
but tell the vision is near the end 🤨
*pure souls
the transitions are trash
Kanye is the video game company of the music industry, just put it out unfinished and patch after launch
Donda would be 10/10 if;
Remove the Pop Smoke song
Remove all the Pt.2 songs
Kept the Kaycyy version of Keep My Spirit Alive
Kept Pusha T and Kanye on the song "DONDA"
Left original track order from the 2nd live performance of the album
Remove Glogabgabgalab from Remote Control
I’m glad I was able to download Donda before the changes, but the fact that Keep My Spirit Alive got a part 2, and the only change is the KayCyy chorus is pretty weird.
Fantano is actually just mad cuz he spent money on the stem player and now everyone can hear the songs 🤣🤣

“Ye Ruined Donda” 🤓
Honestly the original tracklisting is an absolute mess as well. 24 between Believe What I Say and Remote Control wtffff???????
Additional tracks I'm totally cool with. Love having Life of the Party on there for example, I needed a high quality version of that 3000 verse.
The ordering I agree is just weird now though. That should've been the same.
I mean there is a reason why playlist exists (?
The Tracklist sequencing has been confusing ever since the listening parties, all of them had different orders and songs
I personally think LP2 was the most cohesive and best of the lists.
Very happy I live in a timeline with 2 Dondas again
Life of The Party is freaking nuts! (In a good way)
Kanye shortened the verse tho so it was way better before
But if you want the original album sequence the updated version didn’t change the album order I feel like I’ll only come to the deluxe for Life of the Party and Remote Control Part 2
If “Ye’s” name was not attached to this Deluxe album, I would of thought that some random person would of made this a playlist and did not care of the seq. and just played it in shuffle.
DONDA is what you make it
I remember when Donda first dropped it was a big trend to mix the songs into a playlist and make your own track order, but this shit is kind of ridiculous.
This isn't even Donda's final form yet. We're getting Thicc Donda soon
Gonna release the record in reverse, call it adnoD.
Old cover art was way better
Man the vocals he added to come to life makes the song so much better
As of the time writing this, Spotify still has the original Donda release for those seeking it.
Thank you, I felt like I was going insane cause no one was talking about how shit the new tracklist is
