Question: What is even the purpose of a date? I can say at least in terms of my own intent, that when I date someone, I hope to achieve a couple of things.
1. Allow myself to have to think about why it is I like or don't like the person I'm dating.
2. Be excited into giving the person I'm dating a try. Usually through an endorsement of their subjective quality, characteristics.
Those are the two things I wanna do. Problem: Neither of those goals are possible in any scenario that involves dating this person.
