"Let's just say that when it comes to the people that you collab with on a regular basis, I consider myself the most normal of any of them." This is one of those statements that you think can't possibly be true, and then have a horrified realization that it probably is.
Fully sincere: i LOVE Yu-Gi-Oh game show content. It's like my favorite subgenre. I feel like it popped off years ago and disappeared. I'd love to see a resurgence.
"The Little D I know does attack its own kind" is probably the worst thing I have ever heard come out of MBTs mouth, and thats a highly contested title
If you ever do this again remember cross duel gave us normal versions of a lot of ace monsters so you can mess up people with stuff like stardust dragon
Next time, you've gotta include my personal favorite old vanilla: Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1. Just make sure you leave out my least favorite: Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2.
@PiePie453 between a recent ep of MBT's Twitter Freax and it being talked about on Jim Norton & Sam Roberts, it's kinda been burned into my brain as of late.
This episode had 12 recognizable cards. This challenge will get crazy because who has read Normal monsters other than Red Eyes, Blue Eyes, Dark Magician and Mekk-Knight Avram.
Ngl, disappointed during the enchanted Mermaid section that Joseph didn't immediately recognize Boneheimers flavour text, even if he didn't remember the name he should've at least remembered the text,
I was hoping for an "Impossible" category which is just like... Gunkan Suship Shari: A: Finally got to visit that harbor specializing in Gunkan Suships that I've been curious about for a while! The premium "Shari" here is limited to 2000 Suships a year, and uses specially developed smooth aged rice, giving it extra richness not found anywhere else. The classy atmosphere made my heart sing, too. The Gunkan Suship served had a perfect balance of vinegar, nigiri, shine, and shape, demonstrating exquisite artisanship. The owner told me, "We are introducing rich yet mellow scented EDO-FRONT red vinegar in the near future," which I'm really looking forward to. However, I was disappointed the surrounding seas were a little noisy... so, giving it 3 stars with hope for improvements in the future! well, the digits are easy to get if you remember the stats: the number of suships is it's attack, which is 2000, and the stars are the level, which is level 4. So this is a bit too easy. Now if you shuffled the words around a bit, that would be the thing
Yamimakai! I made a joke format with my friends called Yamimakai format. It's basically any format you want to play but you have to have at least one "King of Yamimakai" in the deck and he starts in your opening hand as a sixth card. He's the best.
Please get Rux on here. I memorized all my normal monster text from watching his pack opening videos. I've often thought about having a trivia about normal monsters. Glad to see it is happening. I also would love to see the comparison of "strength" of the normal monsters. There are some that have very strong descriptions that are pretty weak cards. I thought about doing a guess this card's attack.
When MBT asked to use the 50/50 after he narrowed Dark Witch to A or C I thought for sure it was going to be like Cimo again and it gets narrowed to A or C. I'm honestly amazed at the amount of card text I recognized from cards I read over 10 years ago.
A was the flavour text of Dark King of the Abyss (the guy blasting Dark Ruler Ha Des in DRNM). I knew that and Summoned Skull's flavour text (C) which made it easier to guess correctly.
Really like the video but I think an interesting variant would be give the flavor text and then 4 monsters choices to choose from. Some of the monsters are literally just palette swaps of each like that Gadget Soldier example. Also maybe some flavor text of cards from Forbidden Memories/Sacred Cards for monsters that are normally effects but arent in those games.
Gadget Soldier was the six stars monster that Kaiba uses in Battle City Deck. I think replacing Judge Man from Duelist Kingdom. Also used as such in Stairway to The Destined
12:22 Dark Witch's non sensical name has a lot to do with what her actual name is in Japanese: Valkyrie I know this, because back when Valk archetype is being printed, a few flavor pages names this card specifically. Knowing that just makes it obvious that: "Popular Creature in Mythology" is referring to that.
We need more yugioh jeopardy. I love the format for any topic since I really miss the Fighting Game equivalent, JMpardy. That said, if you can't do jeopardy, continue this but more focused on effect monsters. Not many people these days know flavor text (outside of MBT apparently), but obscure effect monsters are much more interesting and useful for us random rogue players. I seriously just added Clockwork City as a minor floodgate against type-specific decks. Hilarious when it works, but not a big deal when it doesn't, since I'm here for fun and not win rate
I think on the Anotherverse Dragon question, all three other options came up specifically in MBT's "what if flavor text was effect text" twitter thread lol
King of Yamimakai wasn´t used by Kaiba, but PaniK, one of the eliminators employed by Pegasus during Duelist Kingdom to weed out players. His strongest monster actually. Boosted by Castle of Dark Illusions. Being a Fiend Deck I´m surprised PaniK didn´t have Summoned Skull.
I have an idea on how to get a wheel into this series if it gets a sequel. Since you said you had 20 hard questions, you could have a wheel of monsters and the spun monster is the question selected.
I went 9 and 3, the first one was me deciding to not pick my first choice because MBT did it, and then I lost. Second one was just me not knowing it Third was me being behind and not choosing the one MBT chose, that I thought might be it, because it was the only way to win by then, him getting it wrong and me getting it right.
Isn’t Gadget Soldier the Tristen card? From that one time he duels? Anyways great video I love normal monsters and I’m happy Doug got a real normal fella for this one.
MBT's character has the same outward contempt for others as most normal people have internally. He is indeed the most normal of Dzeeff's regular guests.
The reason for Dark Witch's flavor text is because it's supposed to be a valkyrie and the reason it was translated as dark witch is because the old English equivalent of Valkyrie was "female magic user", or "witch".
MBT's mistake in the King of Yamimakai one was forgetting thar the Netherworld was a 5Ds censor, so the two mentioning it were newer than King of Yamimakai
Next episode will have a wheel, I promise 😎👍
Go back to making discussion videos rather
Yugioh Wheel of Forturne, let's go!
Wheel wheel wheel
Excellent.
Yes normal reminds me of the meta trash trucks of yugioh it's everywhere disregard visible truth Yu-Gi-Oh is healthy isn't having 85% loss rate fun?
Can't believe the wheel didn't make it to the episode
It's taking a vacation in the Bahamas. After all the work it's done enhancing our favorite series, I think it deserves the mental health break ❤❤😂😂
don't worry its in the next one

Fr like maybe cimo is more normal but I can't think of many others 😭
@@Frogthejam1 True, but Cimo isn't a regular collaborator on this channel.
He is technically the most normal. It's just that the things coming out of his mouth are also the most unhinged out of any of them.

"I am the sixth piece of Exodia."

Man I love MBT on videos like these. He legitimately has just the right kind of energy.

You sir are an evil person 😂😂
The best normal monster texts are the ones from the Joey set which are written like he wrote them 😂
No.
They are almost as good as "check THIS out!"
16:05 No, it is one of Panik's card.
I think they’re mixing up Panik with Kaiba’s ghost
@@sleepinthemorningcalm p. sure it's because of kaiba the revenge, actually
Next time, you've gotta include my personal favorite old vanilla: Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1. Just make sure you leave out my least favorite: Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #2.
It is because the second card was a Winged-Beast instead of a Dragon? (for some reason)
The sequel isn't as good as the original
@@thatman666 well #1 is a fortress-protecting winged dragon, while #2 is just a wyvern
Sounds like something that Duel Logs of the Duel Logs' Duel Logs could have a lot of fun with.
I'm amazed how many of these I recognized just from all the time I wasted reading Flavor Text from Legacy Pack cards.
After it was all hyped up I got incredibly giddy at realizing I actually knew what Battle Ox was immediately when I saw it.
OMG I NEED to see Cimo's performance on this show!
This is so funny omg
I’d love to see Cimo on this
Of course Joseph is good at normal monsters, he’s the Hero Guy!
No wheel? This changes everything!
Dark Witch "This popular napsack with many different locations attacks with crack pipes from it's bedroom."
This one is gonna be incomprehensible to most, well done

I read a lot of the wacky early ones for DnD monster inspiration so I know quite a few 😂
Another cool idea would be to do vanilla fusion monsters, where you can ask the name of the monsters required to make that fusion.
Gadget Soldier was unironically one of my favorite cards when i was like 6years old.
Should have had "Check THIS out" to the title
Calm down Mekk-Knight Avram
Doug managed to find a way to do a Fueled By Sandwiches video where everyone on screen is a long-time yugioh player. Impressive.
4:49 he better be after this week's episode of Duel Taining where he had to perform oral.
Again?
Ngl, disappointed during the enchanted Mermaid section that Joseph didn't immediately recognize Boneheimers flavour text, even if he didn't remember the name he should've at least remembered the text,
How am I supposed to enjoy this series? There aren’t any wheels
I was thinking he could add a wheel to the lifeline
Witty Phantom is neither wearing a tuxedo nor is it black. Lol
right?
I was like there’s no way it’s that wrong
Can’t wait to see how long it’ll take them to make a Little D or a Great White joke
I commend Doug for not saying "Boy, those hard monsters are hard."
boneheimer is the one that suck you dry, im not joking ahhaha. One of ruxin favorite flavor texts XD
