These controls replace a lot of the aqua stats. You can also get an extension cable to run a remote sensor. They do have some info in their manual on page 16 for low water control

Excellent informative video sir , can you give me your opinion on a new oil burner hot water boiler combo system with a new burner ? Is there any particular brand you feel is a excellent pair ? I’m going to one to purchase a new one soon just that there’s so many makes and model combinations, and I would like an opinion from a professional that works on them.. thanks 👍

This is a great question! I think it's always best to get a system which is stocked locally from a good reputable supplier so you can easily get parts if needed. I also feel the system should be designed to get the job done with the least amount of complicated controls. This will allow just about any tech to repair it if you are ever having trouble. This can also help keep installation costs down during the install/changout.
Now as for the best system. The heating system need to be able to fit correctly in the space available and whether you need a direct vented system or a chimney vented one, so this can limit some of the system selections.
That being said. Every job has different requirement due to where or how it needs to be installed and what is readly stocked locally.
I have installed Burnham Boilers, Slant fin boilers, Weil Mclain Boilers, Buderus Boilers, Toyo Water Heaters and worked on many other designs like System 2000.
I personally like Burnham Boilers with Beckett Burners & Weil Mclain Ultra Boilers.
The Buderus Boiler have a water storage tank which can be installed as a boiler stand below it but the tanks must be inspected annually or it will void the warranty.
Weil Mclain indirect water heaters are nice but you will want to upgrade the controller as they have issues going into error mode.
Burnham makes a nice heavy duty indirect water heater which has a replaceable heating coil which is nice for the future.
I hope this helps. What part of the country do you live. I am in Fairbanks and North Pole, Alaska. so you can see why it's important for simple and effective systems. If I can be of anymore help, let me know!

@@furnacetech2581 thanks for the information. I have a Burnham boiler with the removable coil and a Beckett Burner..it’s chimney vented ,and I’m in upstate New York.. the unit is about 33 years old and it still kicking and screaming , but leaks around the coil seal .. I believe if I try to remove it the bolts will just break in place and then I will be in trouble .. I see maybe I’ll stick to the Burham boiler then with a Beckett burner...sounds like it might the way to go.. I was thinking Bedurus but I don’t think I have the space for it..I appreciate your help in this matter , I will see what packages and prices they have on line and locally..thanks again for your informative videos , say hello to the young man and to keep learning from you all he can . 👍

Yes, be careful removing the old bolts from the leaking coil. They can break very easy and cause a costly emergency repair. The new Burnham boilers have swing out doors and removable top covers for easy cleaning!

I have not had any trouble with aqua smart controls up to this point. One this I like about them is the ease of remote mounting them for easy access in limited space areas!
