How to do well in chemistry
    1. Pre read, group into tables and write down formulas and basically write down everything
    2. Fully understand before going to practice papers. Practice. Practice. Practice.
    3. Go to your teacher. As much as possible.
    4. Practice your papers, increase speed and accuracy
    5. Write down the steps and how you get the answer. Don’t rush but also don’t take too much time for certain questions.
    6. It is a slow process. Have the mindset of “learning” rather than “studying” Giving up is not going to speed the process
    7. Persevere. Chemistry is a tough subject. You will find the beauty in it. You will understand it, be patient.

@@veronicajata3121 you can do it sometimes people dont get chemistry right away it might take you many times to pass but dont give up. I'm a chem major and this past fall semester I started doing lab work and I messed up. During one lab session I broke a test tube lol. More specifically try to understand where u are falling short and why. Failure is something to help you realize the gaps in your understanding and it should be used to help you succeed instead of just letting failure be something that makes you feel better. Dont quit because struggle is often what births great things. If you give up you may never get to experience those great things. Last thing. I'm a chem major but got a D on my very first chem exam. I remember when I was in 10th grade I wrote my first A in chemistry in a class of a teacher who didn't believe in me at all, but still it really motivated me. I actually started liking chemistry. The teacher still wanted to give me a bad oral grade eventhough I always tried my best in his class(in Germany you have an oral and a writing grade(basically your test grade) that make your whole grade).
Sometimes I feel like loser because of those teachers, I feel very anxious around them and about making mistakes.
How do I let go of that feeling? And how do I stop caring about someone being better than me in school? I have seen so many students who seem to learn everything so effortlessly. I'm now in 11th grade and I'm taking chemistry and biology as my classes that will count more in my A-levels or in Germany "Abitur" for the in Germany called qualification phase(12-13 grade).

I write an explanation for how I got the answer on the hw and keep copies. Hw is how you study it. 80% of chem 1 is metric conversions. Also here’s a good tip for metric conversions as this kills most people in chem. If you can’t figure out what equality statements to use, just divide what you want by the sum(COUNT from the exponent of factorials on your prefix table to the value you want and making it positive or negative depending on direction) so for example nm to m is 10^9 for the denominator because you go from 10^-9 to the base factor m. Nm to deci is 10^8

Pre-read (previewing the text, making presumptions of the text for connections to previous knowledge so that you can build off it during the actual reading so that it’s easier to understand).
Annotate/make lots of notes in a way that makes most sense to you during your lecture and after.
Summarize information into tables he says, yet I find splitting information into section summaries more convenient. However, I can understand the thought process since it further forces you to further condense important information into easily accessible pieces, which is a form of independent problem solving as you build efficiency in summarizing important information.
Group similar mechanisms together so that you can easily refer back to them later, and I said something along those lines already under “Pre-read”.
Write down every single thing the professor wrote down whether in slides or information professors emphasize during lecture.

Honestly my number 1 tip is to romanticise chemistry. Let's be real, if you're in high school sutdying chemisty, then 1 you're gonna have a great connection with your classmates and teachers (bc ur class is gonna be small probably), and 2, chemistry notes can look cute af, and there's nothing better i love doing hten dedicating my afternooon to sitting in the sunniest room of my house and doing chem coursework one afternoon after school.

Later I got 82 in chem in the second term and I was happier bit in the second term I got a B in pure math and an a in general math

I'm a post graduate student majoring in Physical Chemistry. And there are some parts of it which are really difficult (quantum for sure) and some are just a cakewalk. But the biggest hurdle as an Indian student is to clear the national exams for my Phd which have really given me sleepless nights.
