Thank you for sharing this! I'm so glad I found it. The best male singer in the world, the best female singer in the world, and the best guitarist in the world all on stage together?! Yes Please! And that's one of Chris' best songs too. Absolute magic! More!
I have been listening to Derek Trucks guitar playing non-stop for 20 years. This video perfectly sums up his mastery and evolution in that time. Any guitar player worth a damn, knows how profound his ability to go from slide to straight up playing is. He is un matched, un paralleled and never to be repeated. His gifts without the slide are as profound as his gifts with it- though most know him for his slide playing. The first riff which grabs you at the start of the solo is straight up and the riff which brings you to your knees at 9:48 is everything this man has become with his instrument. Derek plays to emote and move people. His playing has been some of my only solace at dark points of my life. Take it in folks. God has given us a great gift in this man's playing. Let it sink in because he is at his best and in his prime- and nothing lasts forever. and WTF was that at 11:25?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Can we talk about Susan's solo? Much has been made about her vocals - and she's one of the finest vocalists alive - but that guitar solo was killer! She can go! Of course DT takes it and goes off on a TLI toward the moon!
First time I ever heard Susan was lots of years ago at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Was just randomly walking past the Jazz tent and heard someone absolutely shredding on guitar. Walked in and it was her. Honestly weren't a lot of female lead guitarists I had heard with that kind of chops back then, and she just blew me away. Have been a fan ever since.
I got to see TT for the first time this summer. The best live band I’ve ever seen. All I wanted to see was Derek play slide in the flesh. Susan was so unbelievably captivating I barely noticed the guy playing slide guitar.
I have seen Tedechsi Trucks band 5 times. To me it looked like every time they enjoyed their doing their shows as much I have enjoyed listening and watching them. They love what they do for us. I appreciate that a lot.
I get to where I can hardly breath and I've got tears on my cheeks listening to this. Not sad just an incredible amount if emotion .If anything was to ever make believe in such a thing as a soul music like this does it. It touches something inside me that not muxh else does , or can.
Love all of them. My god I wish I could have been there. You’re right it goes straight to your soul. If your not feeling this song your dead! Susan is my absolute favorite female singer. She knows when to crank it up and when to go soft. She is a true pro.
Goosebumps. My first concert (37 years ago, in utero at the time lol) was Bonnie Raitt and I was blessed to grow up with incredible music. Susan Tedeschi is the only person who can touch some of Bonnie's best stuff imo. Beautiful performance from LEGENDS--master vocalists and world-class musicians. This was killer!
Just found your channel (thank you algorithm!). I’m a 70’s girl…Fleetwood, Heart, ZZ Top, Allman Bros and my all time favorite (unfortunately lesser recognized)…Little Feat. I was at the DC concert when they recorded “Waiting for Columbus”. Epic. 🎉 What a time to be alive!
My brothers and sisters in Christ, that IS one of the best slide solos ever played.....TREMENDOUS. It is incredible how much he pulls from the great slide players of all time. I have TTB 4 times live. I have never felt some of those emotions watching them play. Phenomenal review Michael as always!!!
Mike I notice youve never covered folk singer songwriter Hayley Hendrickx. Her voice and playing are really unique. But im just hyped after discivering her late myself as I love that style of music
Great video and disappointed that I missed this show. Not that I disagree with your comment about Derek being the best living guitar player, but why do you think he’s better than someone like John Mayer?
Massive Tedeschi Trucks fan - Derek has always had a following, great to see Susan getting some love. My fav all-time TT song is Midnight in Harlem - literally brings me to tears when I hear it. Great version here with some magical opening licks from Mr. Trucks: ua-cam.com/video/qILAnRVzEKk/v-deo.html
Michael. Longtime follower here. I would really love to see some Little Feat / Lowell George … specifically ua-cam.com/video/mIOGL-Fu0c4/v-deo.htmlsi=izpfWB3my3v-moM7 … what the heck is going on here with this rythym 😂. It makes me feel like I have two left when I play along. But when I just listen is groove city. Thanks man, have a great new year
This is a great channel! I’m not a musician or musical at all, but I love to learn about the craft of music. I’d love to get your take on “And I” from Portugal. The Man (the Live from FM4 version)! ua-cam.com/video/b53zjy_SNqE/v-deo.html
I wish you would listen to your audience (not just the members). Most of your views come from non-members. I've been asking for another Radiohead video, but no luck. That's the thing I don't like about UA-camrs getting bigger, sadly they just stop caring and it’s all about the money. I'm not hating though, just sharing my thoughts.
I think she could be a much better player if she just dropped to 8g strings. She struggles so much it just hurts to watch her solo. I know shes got chops man, its there. Her hands just cant handle the heavy strings. But maybe thats what shes going after, maybe she wants that. Could just be a Jimmy Vaughn thing. Her own style blues thing.
Thanks! 🙏🙏🙏 Research and check out Jeff Healey. You can't leave him out of good guitar reviews. This video is really good at showing you exactly how he plays. Love your channel! ua-cam.com/video/aCKSz1N6fpQ/v-deo.htmlsi=rxV981aKq9YnXjLh

A+ for the use of Trans-Lunar Injection in comment on a guitar video 👍
In other band she’d also be the best guitarist. Just so happens she partnered with one of the greatest of all time

This was pure joy. Prime example of why I love the blues.
This is the greatest Christmas present ever.
I got chills just from hearing the lineup of that show!
I have seen Tedechsi Trucks band 5 times. To me it looked like every time they enjoyed their doing their shows as much I have enjoyed listening and watching them. They love what they do for us. I appreciate that a lot.

"I love it in the deepest part of my soul." That about sums it all up for me.

Nice, just heard her Angel Of Montgomery cover again. Best rendition of the song if you ask me.
Chris’s drummer is Derek Mixon and one of my good friends from college. He’s amazingly talented and a super great guy. So proud of all his success!
We were there! It was amazing! Especially this!!!
I was at that show. Stapleton was great, of course, but TT Band was an absolute revelation.
I have seen Tedeshi Trucks band 4 times in 5 years at Red Rocks Susan is a great guitarist and has a phenomenal voice.
I was at this show in the pit... it doesn't get any better and at 9:38 that was in fact my woooo lol
one of the BEST collabs on UA-cam!!! MAN!!! just ripping it!
Number 1! Great vid man.
Loved Chris Stapleton since he was with The Steeldrivers.
Jeezus, Derek is just on a higher level. Absolutely incredible.
I've been waiting for you to see this! forever grateful for you helping me discover Susan and Derek
Lee Pardini on keys. Dudes a killer. Used to be in Dawes
I wish I was at that show, love them all. Just Wow!!! One of my favorite songs of Stapleton's. Susan is amazing on vocals and guitar, bad ass!

Lowell is national treasure.
I was at this show. An incredible night
Can I say it....rarest hanf in poker : "straight aces" up and down!!! I'm down with breakdown brother....simply the best!! Thanks , ron
That feeling playing and just give all your feelings and support to the leadplayer... Goosebumps it give me... More then anything else...
I have been waiting for this video. It did not disappoint.
It was an incredible performance!
DUDE! I was in the house for this one and I’ve been wanting you to react to this. It was incredible to hear live. 🔥🔥🔥
Oh I BET!! Lucky you
@@Guitargate yessir. Love the channel, man!

You know I love to see this
ugh i need an official recording of this
Sweetness!
5:01 We've all been there trying to sing with Chris.
gotta do this one next. . . Stephen Wilson Jr. - "Stand By Me" [Ben E. King Cover] (Live at the Print Shop)
Great video as always sir! Would love to see one on Sean Costello one of these days
That show could've played in any order and would've still made sense!!!!
You gotta have balls of steel to throw out a run alongside Stapleton...on his song, no less, but damn she nailed it over and over.
Dude had a slide on his finger when he popped out of the womb.
I’ve seen all of them in concert, but not together. Wish I’d been there
Love your videos!!! I want to enroll in the free course but the link takes me to subscribe. Is it no longer free?
Mike I notice youve never covered folk singer songwriter Hayley Hendrickx. Her voice and playing are really unique. But im just hyped after discivering her late myself as I love that style of music
that vocal bump was for her monitors, no? not FOH.
I think his point is that if she couldn’t hear herself well in the monitors, yet took that run anyway, pretty impressive
Great video. I would argue this song is actually in the key of F
Sick lineup 😮
Is that lineup on tour together.
What model of PRS are you playing in this?
I appreciate what you put up here a lot but you have to put links in your description so we can watch the original!!!
You should check out the man from broux Bridge
Great video and disappointed that I missed this show. Not that I disagree with your comment about Derek being the best living guitar player, but why do you think he’s better than someone like John Mayer?
👍
You gotta react to Marcus King cover Workin’ Man Blues

Dminor, the saddest of all keys
eatned respect. Derrick Trucks is silly
Suny landrith
Yeah, I want a lesson or 10 but only blues. I sing like Susan, i just cant play like Derek! Come on dude!

Specifically that version of rock and roll doctor. Love it. I feel like he / they are all up in your kitchen / wheelhouse.
Nothing against Chris Stapleton but I would drive 500 miles to see Marcus King and Tedeschi Trucks.
