I've been watching skateboarding vids since Blind Days when I was a teen, that part Andy just put out was one of the single most creative things I've ever seen done. That was true Art, belongs in the Smithsonian of Skateboarding.
@@GazzBassfusionthat would be pretty cool but the Professor likely already knows exactly what he's working with. Also, Paul doesn't press Powell Peralta boards. It's pretty cool to see how the haters, including myself, got swayed to love Andy Anderson. At first, a lot of people, me included, didn't really get his whole vibe. His unique style and quirky personality made him stand out, and not always in a good way. But as time went on, his insane talent on the skateboard and his genuine niceness started to win everyone over. Andy's skills are off the charts, and he's one of the nicest guys you'll meet. Bit by bit, even the toughest critics, like me, started to appreciate what he brings to the table. Love you Andy
Get a room you two! I agree with Deville and I'm actually sort of selfishly sad Andy's going to win over haters. For those of us who've been day ones, I think he always felt like our own little secret. But any and all love is well deserved and long overdue. Andy embodies virtually every single thing I personally love about skateboarding: individuality, passion, and creativity. I believe only good things can come from more people coming to understand that.
I've always had a dislike for you Deville for some reason and couldn't figure out why but noticed in NKa vid at the premier that you seemed happier and a bit more trustworthy. Maybe Andy is helping you grow
I started skating way before Andy was born, then was on a “little” hiatus for a couple of decades.🤦🏻♂️ Now I’ve skated again for 6 years and meeting Andy and having him in my corner is such a huge privilege and I’m inspired by him more every video I watch and every chat we have! I had a twin board before, too, but getting his Heron 2 changed it all for me and now I have my own board inspired by it and I’m extremely happy every time I step on it. Much love Andy and much love Nine Club for enabling these kinda deep dives with the best people!

Honestly, the break down of “what do I own from this part?” was profound and smart. Skaters don’t make money from video parts that take months if not years to film. They, hopefully, make money from people being stoked on their skating enough to buy the products they use. This is like a multi-part symposium in an art history class, breaking down a performance art piece. The end (of this video) does a good job describing Andy's two-year timeline of experimentation with wheels, board shapes, and trick concepts and approaches. This story provides background and context to the composition of the live release show (on NKA's channel, or PP). Every time I see Kelly I remember watching his part on Give Me My Money Chico, which I got in the mail on the back of a Skateboard Mag. Song, tricks, flow. Got me out skating every day. Also Andy is the man.
Andy’s part is so rad, I’m glad yall got him back to go in depth on it! I’ve been on those nano-cubics since they came out, I have a Vajra on 52s I love, and a 101 natas deck on 60s, and a panther 2 on mini-cubics, so I really felt seen in this one lol. I do feel the need to be the trivia police on the dark slide though - Gonz did one caveman before Rodney, but Rodney developed the flip in and out.
Watched Andy's part and then watched then this GREAT INTERVIEW. It was special to hear Andy's thought process and the deeper elements to spiritual/mental/emotional/vibe of his part journey along with understanding the deeper technical mastery. WOW
I still can’t believe Andy got where he got. It’s just wild cause we saw this little kid with a helmet like a decade ago when Powell did a demo …. And everyone knew he was special. But it takes real dedication to stick with it and really make it. Just great.
This dude is an absolute juggernaut on that skateboard!!!! Not quite sure why it's taken as long as it has for him to be given his flowers but We are definitely witnesses to it happening now. It couldn't happen for a better human being and Andy has definitely worked his ass off to receive the recognition. Very very much well deserved!!!!

It’s cool that Powell just seems to kinda trust Andy and let him have creative control over the boards and griptape and stuff and let him experiment and actually put it in stores.
For a sport that made it's bones on progression and innovation it sometimes seems like what Andy is doing the only interesting thing happening in the sport. It's a wise business decision for Powell to get behind whatever Andy is doing.

Another legendary episode. Please invite Claus Grabke 🙏 He did so much for skateboarding. Germany/Europe represent ! ✌️
Your part was amazing and loved every second of it homie!!!!!
Andy reminds us why we starting skating in the first place: For fun! - Great episode! Thank you!
Watched Andy's part and then watched then this GREAT INTERVIEW. It was special to hear Andy's thought process and the deeper elements to spiritual/mental/emotional/vibe of his part journey along with understanding the deeper technical mastery. WOW
Proud to have been Andy’s biggest fan since day one! Love this guy, a true artist.
A scientist who skates. Andy takes his scientific exploits and makes art. An amazing man, truly a rare diamond 🤘😉
It's hilarious how little The Nine Club knows about the hobby outside of a very specific 8-10 year window.
I still can’t believe Andy got where he got. It’s just wild cause we saw this little kid with a helmet like a decade ago when Powell did a demo …. And everyone knew he was special. But it takes real dedication to stick with it and really make it. Just great.
Just noticed what you are in skateboarding, thanks legends, Love you guys ❤😢
Dude.. Andy is awesome man.
Loved his part
That lance mountain thrasher tripped me out for a second 😂 I have the same one sitting on my coffee table
I just ordered the baby heron flight deck. It will be the first flight deck i have ever had and it will be the first one i ever skate. Im so hyped and i cannot wait to finally skate it. I really want to try all of your shaped decks and your inventions andy Anderson
I'm hoping it is here in the next few days
I need to get the grip tape aswell and the nano cubic wheels
@@Unlockingparadoxes Make sure to come back to this comment to let us know how you like it compared to a traditional set up. I know that's quite the ask, but I think people here would be interested in hearing outside feedback. Hope your new set up arrives soon and you love it! Thanks!
@@B.E.C.K.I definitely will.
@@B.E.C.K.I love the deck. Currently using 54mm dragon formula wheels and 8.38 mini logo trucks and dgk hardware.
I’m glad there is an Andy Anderson in this world
we love andy. keeps the wheels rolling in my brain
Yeah Andy!
The stories behind the tricks give me new perspective and increase my appreciation of the skate part. Thanks for that.
I need Andy and Rodney together SO BADLY
It’s cool that Powell just seems to kinda trust Andy and let him have creative control over the boards and griptape and stuff and let him experiment and actually put it in stores.
For a sport that made it's bones on progression and innovation it sometimes seems like what Andy is doing the only interesting thing happening in the sport.
It's a wise business decision for Powell to get behind whatever Andy is doing.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Andy has brought the magic back to skateboarding.
i love this skateboard theorie mapping on the griptape
After that part Andy is my fav current skater, hard to deny how skilled, versatile and creative he is. Dude is a weapon and cool on podcasts
His part is so next level, not even next level more like other dimension shit. And then to hear him talk about it and explaining his thought processes is so amazing. He’s a scientific skateboard wizard dude! Big ups for Andy, already a true legend!! ❤
What a treat, love that skateboarding appreciates the different styles! Thank you for this one Nine Club, AA is a breath of fresh air.
Love Andy , he seems like such a nice spirited human
i could listen to andy talk about skate theory for days without losing interest
Andy is the best thing I've come across in many years. What an extraordinary fellow
I knew I needed something right now, but I didn’t realize it was a three hour podcast with Andy Anderson
Andy’s new part was amazing as hell and definitely the way more people should promote there videos haven’t been this hyped for a skate video in a long while
Andy makes skateboarding feel ALIVE and growing, theres a heartbeat. Not just repeating tricks .Poneering the art of Skateboarding is what heh's doing.
