Definitely wasn't a gentleman's game, but neither of them seemed to mind that and it seemed like great vibes. Can't blame Chris for smashing out the FS flips either, there's not a single trick Andy does that's in anyone else's wheelhouse.
@@dans2833I don’t agree with it but I get it. when going against a guy like andy you either gotta be just as versatile or you gotta win on whatever technicality you can get.
Cuz most of the tricks he does looks shit and isn't worth spending time learning
@@yyyobwoc yeah, this reminds me of the straight 8 style skaters in a game of skate. ive always been bad at kick flips. so you could get 4 easy tricks on me in any game of skate.
but if i get to set trick. ill do every shuv it, every 360.
every tricks gotta be a banger when you cant land kick flips.
When playing against andy i think chris had to play smart by doing frontside flips, everyone knows andy has the most unique bag of trick..chris had to get him out the only way he knew he could
i agree, but i think getting andy just one letter that wasn’t a fs flip would’ve been a lot better
@@Matthew-qf8bb Why? It's the whole point of the game to land tricks that your opponent can't, and I think the probability of Andy doing those fs flip variations is higher than Chris doing the crazy stuff that Andy does.
@theghostoffredzeppelin80 yea the tricks chris does are atleast name able, andy does stuff most skaters rarely see let alone have the chance to practice...andy was going to win for sure if chris didn't play cut throat...props to both skaters tho
@@keithstone6411 That was like finding out your opponent can’t double flip and doing every variation. Shit was super lame.
The best line ever “new rule you gotta keep it in the transition… or you can transition out of this contest “
I half expected Gregson to be behind Andy with the follow cam footage.
Sinclair sounding like a parent mediating the tailtouch lmao "-HE GETS IT"
I personally feel like repeating a variation of the same trick and circus tricks both are frowned upon especially in a formal contest setting but in this case it made for an incredible game.
I feel like circus tricks are way more frowned upon than variation tricks. Just my opinion, but I can't stand watching Andy skate and since it's already so hard to judge skate contests, Andy often unjustly steals the show. Glad he's out so I can see some actually amazing tranny skating.
@Bart Stepien so you prefer the same cookie cutter skateboarding that's been going on for years? Interesting, I think it's boring and predictable.
I made a category of these 'special' clown show skateboarders , it's called Cirque de soiled. It's gotten to be silly. 🐒
So nice to see Crob finally get excited over a game!
Crob has come to hate skateboarding but has sunk so far into the industry that he has no other career options. It's all fake enthusiasm for the camera so he can keep getting booked for appearances. Look into his eyes. He is dead inside.
Can't really blame him...all these Mano A Mano games are basically the same and almost nobody manages to land the trick on defence.....
Kickin Andy out is seriously a big thing!! Those FS Flip variations are totally impressive and clean on top. Wow, respect!!
this comment showed up as first comment while the video was playing. this spoiled it bro... but besides that, you are absolutely right.
@@SabiaCDO Never read the comments or look at the timestamps before watching MAM
@@KaiDown I DON4T LOL. But I didn't go fullscreen and the comment was sitting there... it's the damn algorithm.
@@SabiaCDO Yeah that's stung me a few times too. I've got into the habit of tryna hit fullscreen before ya eyes hit it lol
These first round match ups have been savage.
Hahaha now we have an Andy Anderson rule... "keep it on the transition, Andy"
It's the Mano A Mano version of the "No Malto Manuel Sh*T" rule in Battle At The Berrics.
That trick where Andy was on 2 wheels was sick
There was absolutely no tailgrab at all 😂
Andy is a G for calling his tricks out. That's how it should be for this game. That one girl was trying kickflip blunts and landed a kf rock instead and they used it as her trick.
Also for calling out the fact that he touched the top of the board and didn’t grab the tail.
You’re blind. It was clearly a kickflip rock fakie. No woman is trying kickflip blunt.
I nearly had a heart attack! The ending was killer.
Chris Gregson the hero we needed.
Yes but it’s also fun to watch Andy just do the most bullshit tricks not really get why people are bummed on them lol. The swivel tricks he does are boring, but other than that it’s so entertaining to watch him. That blunt fakie? Come on that’s hilarious.
@@nickcalabrese4829 it might be funny if he didn't just try to claim his fs flip tail was legit right before that...
@@tyrone-dh6iy It was a weird call, especially that late in the game, but didn’t change the outcome. Honestly I’m kind of cool with it even if it had. Games are boring when you just bank on one trick you know your opponent can’t do. At least when Andy does something stupid, it’s different each time. The one different trick Chris did, I really didn’t expect Andy to land, so when he did that was cool lol. And same when Chris did the silly blunt fakie.
I think there was a game last season where Andy did a couple of those dumb swivel tricks where it’s just like blunt, smith, rock and roll type variations, and in the same way that was super boring.
@@nickcalabrese4829 yeah, the thing is though with andy you are certain to get one of those games. I'd take a fs flip barage over that extra spinny bs combo stuff. anyway, i'm glad that call didn't change the outcome of the game, as that would have been super unfair..andy id good enough he shouldn't need that kind of help from the judges
Damn, I thought Andy had frontside flips on transition.
I think he has them down pretty good, saw him do em a lot. But the regular ones, not with disaster and grabs
@@TheGollum619 yeah you're right, Andy does them like Muska where they flip like hardflips or illusion flips. It's an awesome looking trick either way.
Discovered Andy's weakness and used it against him to win the game, fair play!
Dope game!
What's fair play about that? I mean, Andy at least threw in a couple of normal tricks into the mix, while he could just have thrown his weird trick repertoire at his enemy for a sure win. :-D
I'm just dumbfounded he's weak at frontside.. that's where you can really have control with air time
crazy that Andy can do almost any trick under the sun, but a common frontside flip that can be done by your local skatepark hero, is what takes him out
Im honestly amazed the comments look like this considering yall bitched about carlin doing blunt variations and erick doing inverts.
I think jake wooten will probably win again now as he's just perfect on transition
Great vibes all around! Chris Gregson has such a good styleee. Glad to see him move forward. Shoutout to Andy for keeping it light hearted
Andy got away with that front flip tail grab. Chris Gregson filming is one of the best things happening in skateboarding now
@@gumpydruckers7961games of skate on transition are different when it comes to defense bro.
Was that lame to repeat FS flip variations? I feel like it was. I also feel like Andy was looking for the kook award again as he amazing on mini ramp and that really didn't come across. Either way, just give the trophy to CRob for turning up and end this series.
That game wasn't dirty, it was FILTHY!♥
I know defense has a bigger margin for error but you should still have to grab. Justice was served in the end.
What a game! Both sooo good ❤ let’s get a rematch every week?
So fun to watch! so nice dudes
This one was so fun to watch!!
This was so fun to watch!
CG went for the jugular! def one of my faves of this series
mano a mano vs andy must be a fight for your life situation right out the gate. well done chris!
Might be interesting to get two attemps on each letter. It'd let you "train" tricks that you try for the first time and then use this knowledge to get it done
So Gregson can front side flip.. and Andy Anderson can do every-single-other-trick! 😂
I don’t know why people are annoyed at Gregson. He did frontside flips cause he knew Andy was going to do all these stupid ballerina tricks. He played the game the same way Andy was playing it. Doing tricks they know the other person probably can’t do
So true! And Andy need to call he want to do "smith, blunt, smith revert out" because I think he's adding or deleting one of a trick in his stupid combo based on his balance and that's kind of cheating
Ngl a little upset at "stupid ballerina tricks" but when Andy's trick bag is as crazy as it is, and you only see him backside flip, there's one thing you gotta do
It's the same reason people get mad when Andy wins but now it's some Andy fans that are mad. Some people just can't really grasp what's going on and they are upset so they say dumb stuff. Some people get mad that Andy does tricks nobody else does and others get mad when they see the same couple tricks over and over. What people need to do is stop getting butt hurt and just say "man I really wish I could see Andy play a game of skate against someone with similar style and tricks". Right now it's either Andy getting someone out with tricks they can barely even try or what happened here where someone finds something Andy isn't good at and does variations of that until he's out. Both of those scenarios are frustrating but it is a contest at the end of the day...
@@donovanhays I feel like a lot of people don't see (or were too upset to see) the awesomeness of a skater who frickin batmanned his opponent found his weakness and specialized in it. There is a beauty in seeing someone specialize while the other diversifies.
Literally amazing!
it's lame when someone is doing a variations of a trick the opponent can't do
@@Menace_za it's skateboarding, knocking down your opponent was never the point
i mean, isnt Andy doing tricks that no one is even trying to do on a regular basis?
@@cygasrapsodiadoing tricks your opponent can't do is literally how you play Skate.

Gregson vs Anderson and Ebert vs Wettstein were by far the best games so far
Gregson will be knocked out in the next round just doesn’t have enough up his sleeves so weird how ppl hate of Andy for inventing new tricks it’s almost like they don’t know how skateboarding started
Shout out to Chris Gregson for playing a great game ❤
dude button mashed fs flips as good a skater as he is that was pathetic.
and I can't stand Andy or his style.
Chris Gregson is the MPV. Sick skater and sick filmer. Andy is the mad scientist of skateboarding. And Tim annoys me as in every episode.😂
I'm a huge Andy Anderson fan and did find it lame that Chris only did frontside flip variations, but Andy only did his own brand of wacky tricks that no one else does or has maybe even seen. They both played it exactly the same, as far as I'm concerned.
you are extremely uninformed about mini ramp...disco lip variations are old af...gregsons tricks would actually be fun to learn and do and require a skill...sliding in and out of lip to axle to blunt combos is what everyone does waiting for the bus...hilarous that you think a real trick is lame, and stringing together a bunch of easy tricks is Quircky! and original...kids did all that in the 90's when 4 foot minis were de riguer
@@tuskratscrew703 Ok, calm down, bud. My intention was to say I think the way they BOTH played was lame. I didn't say Andy invented those tricks. I just like seeing variation and stuff the opponent has a chance to land. Chris's frontside flips were beautiful, man. 😂
these two are amazing ❤
amazing game, I 100% agree with Sinclair calls, sick
gregson and andy, best of the best!
Andy’s kickflip tailgrab should never have counted. 🤣
I met Chris once in Paris at Vans park series event... he's a True Skateboarder & highly under estimated Trick & Ttransition maestro that was a well deserved Mano A Mano win....go forth "The Occult" is within you.
front blunt disaster revert was insane!
Dude Chris is dirty! Love seeing him skate cause he always the one filming everything but, he really shred shreds. This was the best one so far imo just cause it was funny seeing how Chris frontside flipped him to death. Should call him Chris Frontside-Flip Gregson

''I think both these guys need conditioner''

Sometimes I get a bit bummed about the comments made about Andy and his tricks. I get that his style isn't for everyone. But being innovative and unique is so in line with the spirit of skateboarding. Sometimes they feel a bit insulting even if they are not intended to be. Might just be me though.
Literally loved this
Gotta love Anderson’s INSANE creativity

Andy Anderson is so obviously the nicest guy. Kooky tricks but always having the best fun. Great to watch
That was great. Fun one
Wow! That did not go how I expected. I haven't seen Chris skate a miniramp before. Such smooth style.
Andy was great as always, but I didn't think the match up would be as close as it was.
