Should pan fry all sides of chops on high heat for a couple minutes before putting in casserole dish. It locks in the moisture of the meat.

Looks delicious, just a heads up about cross contamination. The rest of the cream cheese would have to go in the bin as the spatula touched the raw pork and then went back into the cream cheese.

Im going to make this this week. I think i will sear the chops first in a cast iron skillet first tho, just to give them more surface color. The idea of applesauce in the stuffing is brilliant! Im going to use some sour cherries I grew and dried in place of the cranberries. Cant wait to try it! Thank you!!!

Unsweetened and no sugar added generally means two different things. You have to read the labels. I once made a dessert with no sugar added strawberries that brought on a massive migraine. After reading the label, my no sugar strawberries had aspartame. I’ve learned my lesson.

Sear both side of chops, get some food handlers gloves, then spread cream cheese. Put a rack in cooking dish, put chops on rack, then add your seasonings. Rack will orevent the "stewing" of the chops bottom and allow for a better tasting chop.

    • @skeleton1765

This place is a lost cause. If you’re spreading cream cheese on a cutlet of meat you’ve already lost. How about she sear them to 145f with salt pepper and sage and then eat them? Takes about 5 minutes. If a person doesn’t like medium rare meat, I would highly recommend that person grow up and develop a palate. If every serious chef in the entire world prefers a pork chop/steak the exact same way one should seriously consider why, no?

Also, more inexpensive meats have a salt water solution pumped into them. When cooked it comes out. They do this with chicken too. You buy meat by the lb so next time when you buy your meat make sure you get it without the salt solution. It makes the meat heavier so they can charge you more.

Looks Good, I make my own stuffing. Not the box kind. I actually just made some yesterday with chicken.

Your recipes just blow me away. For those of us who don't live in the USA , we have no idea how to cook using packets of pre-made flavours and ingredients. Poor us we have to start from scratch with plain ingredients.

Always better to start from scratch, no nasty additives and preservatives that way

I consider cooking from scratch a virtue. Also, 40% of Americans are obese.

From scratch is way better. Trading convenience for quality when it comes to feeding ourselves, is what makes us sick. I envy tge countries that won't allow a lot of the crap and dangerous ingredients that our governament accepts with no problem. Cooking from scratch is a dying much-needed skill in our society.

I like it. To go with the onion theme i think i'm going to try crushing up some of the crispy onions the ones they put on top of green bean casserole.

Just my opinion, I would definitely cook them porkchops a little longer. Not to the point of dry, they just looked a little pinkish on the side and center when cut.

Perhaps next time you might want to put place Stuffing on top of the port chops. Did you wash your pork chops before you put them in?

I think searing😮 the pork chops after rubbing them with all ur spices would turn out better than having all that water at the bottom of ur pan. Also they would have some golden color. The idea is a good one though, and stuffing idea sounds yummy too.
