Iam to late for the bottle , so instead I cry . Beautiful work and I would've loved to get it for my youngest son Will , he is all about the ocean and even named the dog Buoy lol great art work Sci 👍
Simon, I love that you are passing your knowledge on to the next generation. They will remember you like you remember your mentor. Good job! Great upcycle! What vision! Your calico is precious.
I'm really blown away by your creativity when it came to drawing on that bottle, using the iridescent spaces to work around and using the metallic sharpies to compliment that sheen already there and the theme you went with of course is so satisfying with the way the barnacles frame your art- consider me inspired!
I’ve been watching your videos since 2018… how did I not know you could doodle so well? Quite the artist! Great finds, fellas. Glad you all made it out of the mud.
Love the torpedo bottle never seen a whole one, after all your hardwork each week you deserve a day of fantastic fines. Good range of bottles, pipes etc and nice to see adam again
I’ve rewound and rewatched your bottle art 5 times now - mesmerising! I’ve always loved the beautiful iridescence on old glass. Watching you turn it into something even more beautiful has blown my mind! My favourite thing you’ve ever made by miles 💜💙💚💛❤️ You’re mega talented x x
What an amazing day of finds....cod bottles, torpedoes, medical bottles, and more!!! So blown away. Your art work on the bottle was amazing. Thanks for the cameo by Daisy. She is lovely 🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
Outstanding video! Your mentorship with the lads assures us the future generations of history lovers is being preserved. Thank you for including us on this adventure!
What a GREAT day!!! That last bottle is the prettiest blue color!!! You found some really nice bottles!!! One day Simon you are gonna get a moth full of mud and I will laugh so hard!!! Lol 🤣😂
Awesome day out! Love the doodle-bottle! Quick FYI, I think you can get a marker that is iridescent or pearlescent.. At least I know you can get iridescent alcohol ink... Thank you for sharing your adventure and your time!👍🤟🪡🎨🍪
Quite enjoyed watching you "doodle" the bottle into a work of art. Amazing talent that you should share more often (IMO), however I didn't see a date or your cypher. Your art deserves your signature. Loved watching this mudlark with your young friends.
The bottles you guys retrieved were outstanding. Love the torpedo bottle. I had just told my guy that I bet they were made like that to lay on their sides, then you confirmed it, we had a good laugh. I love that you give history with the finds! Great video. 👍✌💖 Some day you need to show is your bottle collection, I bet it's fabulous!
That bottle art is absolutely BRILLIANT!!!! You are clearly a man of many talents!! Daisy is an adorably sweet girl as well. Adore watching your videos! Love the way you mix mudlarking with metal detecting as well. This old Yank is honored to live somewhat vicariously through your adventures and looks forward to all your future mudlarking expeditions and exciting finds!! Cheers and be well!! 😀😺💖✌
Hola Simón ,semilla nueva y muy simpatico ,hoy fue el día de las botellas ,todas hermosas ,tienes mucha creatividad amigo ,te quedó muy lindo tu diseño 👏👏👏👏🥰.Bendiciones Simon
You continue to amaze me with what you create with your finds!! That bottle at the end you did was fantastic!! Your kitty is GORGEOUS!! Great lark today!!
Wow! A huge bottle day! They were all amazing, but your torpedo bottle has to be my favorite just from the joy and excitement on your face and in your voice as you talked about it. That green bottle was gorgeous - maybe not as interesting from a history standpoint, but great for decorating! 😂 You had a truly great day. I loved watching Adam and Alex, too, with their finds. It’s fun to see the interaction and how enthusiastic they are and so open to your opinions and suggestions. And so happy to see Alex got his wish for a pipe! Your artwork and creations are always beautiful and I love watching you work on them, but this bottle is something else entirely! I’ve said before that you have a special eye most of us simply don’t have. You look at things and see beyond what’s visible to the average person. I’m impressed with the fact that you didn’t feel compelled to completely strip the bottle of barnacles which, I think, would be the impulse of most of us. Instead, you understood the visual interest the texture added. And I’m beyond impressed with the way you looked at that bottle and not only visualized a drawing, but visualized it making use of the iridescent patches as highlights to your design, understanding how the curvature would make them play. Then you just sat down and drew it! And it’s all perfectly drawn, beautifully shaded, and you were able to get the proper proportions for the curvature of your “canvas”! It really is stunning. And it seems the ever lovely Daisy agrees!
Hey Si! I've an idea have you ever done this: just with your close friends everyone takes a day! You all go mudlaking that day and all finds go to 1 person. No matter whats found.... Then the next ,and the next. and when everyone has a turn ! You all get together and have a big party and everyone brings there finds ! You can mix and match and trade ....
Another awesome video Simon, makes me envious as we dont have the variety of spots in Australia for finding treasure as you have in the UK. Also love your art work, its amazing
That bottle is nothing short of amazing. I am shocked at how perfectly you incorporated the irredescence and barnacles into a glass canvas, wow. I would bid on it,but I just got back from London, gotta sift through finds of my own,and let my bank account bounce back a bit! Way to go,regarding Adam, your apprentice of sorts. A mentor is important,he seems like a top notch young person. Mudlarking is keeping him from joining a gang!😂
Have been watching your videos for several years now, consistently interesting and entertaining. The film of you painting the bottle reminds me of the dirty secrets of Scotland UA-camrs.
Great to see Adam and Alex with you. Alex masher/scooper is a good idea, and it brought him some luck, a lovely pipe. Adam had an awesome find in his complete cod bottle. That green bottle with the light on it looks lovely. Is that second bottle you found and also the one Adam found iridescent? That piece of turquoise bottle is so pretty. A great find for you, that complete torpedo bottle. Your upcycle bottle drawing is beautiful. Well done guys 👍
Me & Hubby just started to metal detect, (& a channel) well mainly me!😊 … I love watch SI-Finds, especially when he’s finding these bottles from times gone by… Nice one 🤛🏼🍾
Lovely bottle finds Si, I think the Vin De Dusart is an old old French medicinal wine bottle, from the early 20th century. The torpedo bottle was a fantastic find!! It's absolutely gorgeous, I love it! I find the skeleton remains of the ships to be quit interesting, imagine the stories they could tell. Thank you so much for taking us along on another wonderful Mudd lovers adventure Simon, it's always a joy to watch your videos! Cheers my friend!

Great find with the torpedo bottle. For your upcycling adventures have you tried using a consolidant like Acryloid B-72 dissolved in acetone to preserve wood? The pulley and block would have been nice to try to preserve if possible.
Bit pricey isn’t it?
Depends on what you've found. There's other options for consolidants as well, I've tried InstaMorph dissolved in acetone with good results for wood artifacts
