I'm really blown away by your creativity when it came to drawing on that bottle, using the iridescent spaces to work around and using the metallic sharpies to compliment that sheen already there and the theme you went with of course is so satisfying with the way the barnacles frame your art- consider me inspired!

I have dug the base from a broken Janos bottle here, so it was exported to the USA too. I dug it in a swamp behind a 19th century house that became a home for Catholic Nuns later. In 1969, a hurricane came and destroyed that house, killing 14 Nuns. Anyway, there was a really cool broken toilet in that swamp that I suspect came from the house, and it said Arhns and Ott New Orleans. The house had been on a beach with the bottle dump in a swamp behind it. 👍😊

Hey Si! I've an idea have you ever done this: just with your close friends everyone takes a day! You all go mudlaking that day and all finds go to 1 person. No matter whats found.... Then the next ,and the next. and when everyone has a turn ! You all get together and have a big party and everyone brings there finds ! You can mix and match and trade ....

I love your torpedo bottle, was that ever interesting learning why it was laid on its side and that's why it was shaped as a torpedo, cool!! And what you did to the bottle with the barnacles on it was amazing, I loved it!!
Daisy, is a beautiful cat. We had a tiny calico cat. She was the runt of the litter and when we were given her, she was just getting over getting her left front leg amputated, She was only eight weeks old when we were given her. Calicos are very special because of her. Sammy lived for 16 years and she lived a very restful, peaceful life. Daisy reminds me of her.🧡🤍🧡🤎

They used to put two little plastic dogs on a string around the neck of the Black and White Whisky Bottles.
I only know this because as a little kid, when visiting a family friend, I’d be given a jar of them to play with along with various swizzle sticks and marbles - it’s a really strong memory and a good one too.

I've always wondered about your mud shoes- They obviously work well, but look like they should be worn the other way around. I love the doggy art for Black & White scotch. The 20s-30s were a Golden Age in commercial illustration, IMO. Those guys could DRAW! (being an artist myself, they had a big influence on me) PS- I like Adam's channel! Hey- nice job on the bottle!

I was recently on holiday at Wells next the sea and did a bit of mud larking and found two old broken codd bottles with the Wells Norfolk on them both, my research turned out that they were both Robert Claxton Park Road Mineral Water Wells Norfolk.
I also found the smashed bottom of a mallet or onion bottle and lots of old crockery.
I look forward to a reply and also your next video, all the best Robbie

Wow! A huge bottle day! They were all amazing, but your torpedo bottle has to be my favorite just from the joy and excitement on your face and in your voice as you talked about it. That green bottle was gorgeous - maybe not as interesting from a history standpoint, but great for decorating! 😂 You had a truly great day.
I loved watching Adam and Alex, too, with their finds. It’s fun to see the interaction and how enthusiastic they are and so open to your opinions and suggestions. And so happy to see Alex got his wish for a pipe!
Your artwork and creations are always beautiful and I love watching you work on them, but this bottle is something else entirely! I’ve said before that you have a special eye most of us simply don’t have. You look at things and see beyond what’s visible to the average person. I’m impressed with the fact that you didn’t feel compelled to completely strip the bottle of barnacles which, I think, would be the impulse of most of us. Instead, you understood the visual interest the texture added. And I’m beyond impressed with the way you looked at that bottle and not only visualized a drawing, but visualized it making use of the iridescent patches as highlights to your design, understanding how the curvature would make them play. Then you just sat down and drew it! And it’s all perfectly drawn, beautifully shaded, and you were able to get the proper proportions for the curvature of your “canvas”! It really is stunning. And it seems the ever lovely Daisy agrees!

Lovely bottle finds Si, I think the Vin De Dusart is an old old French medicinal wine bottle, from the early 20th century. The torpedo bottle was a fantastic find!! It's absolutely gorgeous, I love it! I find the skeleton remains of the ships to be quit interesting, imagine the stories they could tell. Thank you so much for taking us along on another wonderful Mudd lovers adventure Simon, it's always a joy to watch your videos!

Si, for the bottle 9:30 check out Emile Rigaud " A French product, it was originally manufactured by F. Rigaud and later by his son Emile Rigaud under several different company names: Rigaud & Dusart, Grimault & Co., Rigaud & Chapoteau, Rigaud & Clermont and Rigaud-Vial. Apparently Riguad changed the company name each time he associated with a new chemist. Each company listed 8 Rue Vivienne, Paris, as their address."

Please do Al a big favor and get him some mud pattens or duck feet like you have so he can have more fun like his friend. I love when you find apothecary bottles, been a pharmacist for 33 years. Those types of bottles are very hard to find here due to the cold.
