Fantastic design, I'm gonna head out to the shop and cut a few of these today. Really looking forward to the rest of the content for the month as well!
Another great project and video! Nice advice on not falling into the trap of trying to be the cheapest out there. That's just a race to the bottom with no profits. I've not watched the Rings of Power yet, but maybe this weekend. I've heard mixed reviews on it, so I'm curious. See you again tomorrow!
Nice charcuterie boards Hamilton! Love the grain on walnut, it's probably my favourite wood. I was surprised that your recommend $100 for the large one at a market. I would have thought it would be more, but you know your area. Great content!
@HamiltonDilbeck if you don't mind sharing, where do you get your wood from. I'm in the Atl area and have been looking for decent priced lumber? Thanks in advance for your time. Also I absolutely luv the boards they came out super dope🤙🏽🤙🏽
Great video. Just recently got into CNC work and your videos have been really helpful. Also, I've been waiting for the Rings of Power to come out for a while now too. And I have to say it was pretty disappointing. If you've read the books and are a Tolkien fan... the show so far is neither . Felt like something different than LOTR and a wasted chance. But on a more chipper note, I really appreciate you putting out this content because it makes me think I can maybe do this CNC thing too. Keep up the good work.
What speed do you have your Makita router set at for those profile passes? I have mine 'taped shut' at 4, but I've seen posts lately on the FB 1F group that I should be at like 1 or 2?? and that will help keep the heat down?
@@HamiltonDilbeck that what I do too, but I wonder if it isn’t shortening the life of my bits, especially my bowl bit. The mfr recommendation would put the Makita around 2.5
I was a little disappointed with the 1st episode. The acting was like a 6 out of 10 and I felt like it was to predictable. Hopefully it will get better. What did you think of it?
I liked it! I'm honestly someone who just kinda enjoys things for what they are - I'm not really blown away by it, but more LOTR content is fine by me!
Pricing Rule #1 - DO NOT try to compete with Amazon or the Big Box stores - you WILL lose. Aim for the more upscale shoppers, and price accordingly.
Yep! Couldn't agree more!
Just found your channel and love your content!! Awesome Work!!
I like the pricing discussion with each project. Keep it up
Made one and it came out awesome! Just got the blades to make the bread knife next. Thanks for the awesome design!
Heck yeah! Glad it worked out!
Great project and video! Simple yet unique design! Also, great advice about pricing
Thanks!
Rocking it so far brother! Looking forward to the rest of the month!
Thanks, Nick!
I am really enjoying these videos. I've had my Shapeoko Pro XXL for 10 months, and I'm really enjoying figuring out new projects.
Awesome, thanks for the comment!

Heck yeah! That's awesome!
Going to have to make one of these boards!
Great video and project, as always.
Thanks Roger!
Another awesome video, Hamilton!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I gotta say, you do great work.
Thanks!
Great video Hamilton, I have the 1F woodworker. Thanks for the info on the feeds and speeds.
For sure, thanks for watching!

Thanks so much! Well see how it sells!

I think episode 1 was better than 2. I'll for sure keep watching, though! I'm interested to see what they will do!
Great truth bomb on pricing.
Thanks!
Good video., gonna walk through them. These are 5/4, are the other projects made from 5/4 also?

I honestly am very little help when it comes to RPM. I keep my dial at around 4.5 and never really mess with it.

I was wondering….can you build me some kitchen cabinets? 😂
I think everyone would be amazed at how much I would charge, lol
What cnc do you use?
Fair price? That's pretty cheap for my area, and really cheap what I'd expect the Atlanta area to be
