THANKK YOUUU FOR REACTING. 17:30 Most ppl just don’t know how deep this movie touches
Yeah I understand. Hits hard and Bernie smile just pushed me over the edge.
Ray pulled the biggest dick move ever, drawing up a fake map just to get Claude in on the escape 🤣
RIP Bernie Mac, truly one of the greatest..
Bernie was my hero. One of the few cats that I have watched all his stand up. I just found him so heart warming. Miss the dude big time
One of the most underrated movies ever made. I have no idea why this movie wasn’t huge
Totally agree. It should have been another 45 mins longer. That section with catching the guy out should have built more. I just didn’t want it to end
I love this movie! Seen it at least 8 times🤣🤣🤣. With Murphy and Martin in it you can’t go wrong!
8 times? My gosh that’s more times than I have had Girlfriends ha ha
@@GavinRamonShow this is one of those movies that I will never be tired of🤣🤣🤣
7:00 it took me 50 times watching this movie for 20 yrs to realize that was Rick James 😮
SPANKY was the one who set them free to go get moonshine. That was Rick James.
Surprised I have not seen any of your reactions until now. I love how you laughed so much! Can't wait to see more of your reactions. New subscriber!
I made hundreds but my videos never got recommended
I'm 35, this came out when I was a kid, I was also expecting a full on comedy but was also pleasantly taken back by the overall movie
Great video! I love this movie, just made my girlfriend watch it with me a week ago because she had never seen it! Found you from your School of Rock video which was also great, consider me subscribed! Hello from Virginia, USA!
What’s up Smash! Have a good weekend
"Oh yard boy Mrs. Myrtle could use some attention perhaps some fertilizer would restore its exuberance. Get yo ass to work!"
Fun Fact: Life (1999) was the second movie in which Eddie Murphy and Martin Lawrence co-starred. They had previous collaborated in the highly rated Boomerang (1992).
Toe In Bottle Fact: When Ray and Claude are standing on a box of bottles, Claude mentions that a one of his toes has slipped into one of them. This actually happened during the take, but Martin Lawrence kept going, despite Eddie Murphy's laughing, which is genuine.
Tracking Time Fact: Ray and Claude arrive at the Mississippi prison in 1932. They spend 65 years in jail, meaning the last year the movie takes place in is 1997. And Ray says in that year that he's 90 years old, meaning he was born in 1907 (Claude was also probably born in that year or somewhere close to it). So they were 25 when they came to jail, 37 when they are shown in the 1944, and 65 when they are shown in 1972.
Great stuff. Boomerang is such a classic
Rick James didn't look too bad as Spanky Johnson. I saw this in the movies lol I was in 9th grade.
Yeah I was very late to the party on this one.
We had this movie on VHS tape when I was in middle school and I've watched it countless times over the course of my life... can recite every scene word-for-word... And I *just* realized Spanky was Rick James maybe 6 months ago 😭
17:17 thought that was your reaction to the guy in the wig . Like ooohh don’t do that in 2022😂
Ha ha I’m gonna get in trouble at some point I know
Dude you're killing me with these reactions, this was great stuff I was bawling with you 🤣
Ha ha big ups man. Yo this movie was great
Many years since I've seen this so thanks for the memories 💯✌️
I love this movie! “I’m the Pappy”😂 new subscriber showing support 🙏🏾 I just started
W reaction, pure humanity, I appreciate that about you brudda, im locked in 🤞
Someone on Instagram said they thought this movie was like a multivese sequel to Harlem Nights and I was like 🤯🤯 so many references. Eddie even said "I know a bitch named Dela hit harder than that"
Not seen it man. It’s on my list and now I really need to see it ha
Love this movie, Martin and Eddie together was just perfect. It gets sad towards the end, sucks they lost all that time in there but at least they were able to be free. I hate pie but the way that pie be stole looked so damn good lol
I found it hilarious, you can tell my humour ha
Bless your heart. 😢❤ New subbie!
Good on ya for choosing this one! This is an unsung gem of Eddie's and Martin's. One of the best things either one of them did.
And it was the first time I ever saw Poppy Montgomery. oooo boy.
Wonderful film
Agreed, A real gem
Ahhh you have great taste in music from what you listed in the beginning. I seen Wu Tang 3x and Lauryn Hill and Janet and other legends. But never got to see MJ or Prince or Whitney. A shame. Great reaction! This movie holds dear to my heart and still choke up when I watch it. Especially knowing that Bernie really isn’t here anymore, as his picture fades away in the end. The soundtrack is AWESOME too!
Bernie forever hey! The King Of Comedy. Yeh see WuTang twice once with ODB which was special but I was just glad to see Ghost and Meth for real. Big love Smiley
@@GavinRamonShow Hell yeah! Super dope! ❤
Excellent !! only a few channels have react to this movie .
i recommend you other underrated movies : 🔥
★ - *Bowfinger* (1999) || starring Steve Martin & *Eddie Murphy*
★ - *Blue Streak* (1999) || starring *Martin Lawrence*
★ - *Major Payne* (1995) || starring *Damon Wayans*
The fact that the little girl knew the punishments at such a young age smh what should she know about a "night in the hole?"
Did you see the “pictures”? 🤦🏾♂️ those pictures make me feel the way I do when certain people say “get over it”. I saw kids and all at certain “events” just smiling for the camera.
@@donnyouttheway4091 right!!! The pictures of those children rallying with the adults. In front of lynched/burned men smh 😡
You pretty
Fucking love this movie!
I really , really enjoyed it
Great reaction ‼️💙🔥
Great reactions bro
Thanks , I need to find some other classics I ain’t seen. Difficult cos when it comes to like Eddie Murphy or a lot of these movies I seen em. Still a few I got to watch though
@@GavinRamonShow try boomerang by Eddie Murphy
Great reaction! One of my favorite movies. I love these time piece movies.
Love this movie so much. And I must say you have impeccable taste in music!
Wow, thank you! Yes , I do love some RnB and Motown etc.
I just came across your channel and started binging a lot of your reactions especially the Lovecraft Country videos which is one of my favorite shows......now I'm a huge fan! Keep doing what you're doing and never apologize for having emotions....we all miss Bernie Mac! ❤❤
Loved that show, and you know I loved Ruby haha. She is still on my mind
@@GavinRamonShow we need to find you a Ruby look-alike 😂😂
1st time watching a reaction
Hope you enjoyed it, thanks for watching
SOOOF-T! 😂😂😂😂
Yeah you are getting my humour now ha. Can you tell I was raised in a very multi cultural area ha. Eddie was on fire back then.
This is a really good movie, you might like bad santa also it has Bernie Mac in it, and John Ritter RIP to both. and RIP to Michael Taliferro.
Bad Santa is one of my faves dude! John Ritter too, what a guy!
My mans has a black soul lbvs
😂😂😂😂 just was raised in a very non white part of London so I have a very broad spectrum. Wouldn’t change it for the world. Funny you should say that cos I was going over my vinyl yesterday and all the stuff I sold, I kept my HipHop, RnB and Wu a tang collection which goes to my grave with me.
@@GavinRamonShow you gain points in my book lol
You miss Rick James as the bootlegger and Heavy D as the young guy at the end digging the grave
Good spot! Ha
Claude have himself to blame through this whole movie.
1. He owed people money
2. Decided to go eat at a club where he knows he owe people money.
3. Cheated on his girlfriend in the South.
So It wasn't just Ray
😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 legendary
Did you know that Eddie Murphy's son and Martin Lawrence daughter are getting married?
I had no idea haha that’s crazy
@@GavinRamonShow
Have you seen Trading Places with Eddie and Dan Aykroyd and Coming to America
Total comedy Eddie the king but everyone got their champ 🤷🏽♂️
If you like Eddie, have you seen Bowfinger with Steve Martin ?
Ill add that to the list
Great review!
Thanks! Appreciate the comment. Such a good movie bro!
B-Mac is my favorite to!
You need to stop buying tickets
This dude is as soft as Martin Lawerence's character. Like Eddy Murphy said "S-O-F-Tah". I remember seeing this movie when it came out, black, white, yellow, brown, nobody was like shaking their heads going "oh dear oh dear, the language" ugh, what kind of a man responds like that? and at a comedy movie. We laughed our assess off at the ridiculousness of it all. Now everybody reacts like they're hearing somebody tell them their Oliver Twist type upbringing at every line or situation if it's even a bit spicy. For a moment there even looked like dude's about to tear up and not even at the "sad" parts of the movie.
Yeah cos we ain’t all like you home slice and yeah I teard up seeing Bernie Mac smile cos he is no longer here and I grew up watching him.
Go start your own channel bruh, nobody made you watch
What's the name of that jazz song when can't get right left please someone
