The whole aspect of Boba trying to carve out his own criminal empire and become “Don/Daimyo” is one of the most creative/original ideas Disney has had. I just feel like they’re wasting a lot of opportunities here.
Let me add a defense Plan for boba: Since the pykes try to get on Tatooine by PT, it'll be imperative for boba to close up Tatooine's space Ports. By archieving that he'll also cut off supply lanes to the pyke forces, and essentially make them rely on the Population to get their supplys. Since I assume the common pyke grunt won't be able/willing to trade with in-house suppliers, which will either put them(the suppliers) in danger, which is more likely, or get themselves (the pykes) killed. Since diffrent alternative routes of supply, such air supply Drops or irregular supply deliveries outside of town centres/spaceports, leave those Transports unprotected and in a Prime Position to get bombarded from above/additional uncertainty if those deliveries reach their intended destination, I could imagine that the pykes might even fold, especially if boba presents his ability to to Interrupt even irregular supply runs.
@@biggsdarklighter0473 You didn't explain how he would pull it off, he doesn't have the men to do that. The other families might have given tribute to before, but I doubt they will stand with him against the Pykes.
This isn't going to be like the Galactic Civil war or Clone wars. It'll probably mirror gang wars/turf wars we've experienced between organized crime. Think Valentine's Day Massacre. Al Capone etc.
i think the biker mods are meant to show they care about their equipment, which is an important detail for Boba Fett, people who take care of the tools of their trade, even in times of struggle, show they take pride in what they do. You can't pay someone to care or believe. He'll probably focus on building his forces primarily of entirely local factions, those that call the desert planet home, and respect themselves and the other locals.
*@Michael Halpern* right! I can see that. I also look at it from this angle. These kids are rebellious punks who are making a statement that their values are out of sync with the culture at large. That is why they would be willing to "waste" valuable resources at upkeep of their equipment and their own appearances. We see that sort of generational and cultural disconnect in our society every day. They want to stand out. That is why it doesn't bother me in the least if they don't look appropriate to their locale: they are not supposed to. That is their objective :) But on a practical level, it also makes them easier to keep track of onscreen!
That’s one thing Solo messed up about Kessel!! The air in Legends was barely breathable at all!! You must always wear a O2 supply to get around on the surface!!
I'm not sure the Twins have given up on Tatooine. They didn't say they relinquished their claim on Jabba's legacy, only that they were going home. Given how many factions there are about to fight over this rock they might not view it as worth the effort for the time being, instead are simply waiting for the dust to settle before they take out who ever survived.
i noticed that too! they're not goin to come in and slug it out, they're goin to stir up trouble from the sidelines! maybe they plan to return when everyone is weaker from fighting each other, which won't happen cos boba is uniting - not fighting, and getting stronger - not weaker.
@@jarradscarborough7915 Boba might be able to unit the local factions against the Pykes, but he will still end up having to fight the Pykes, at least until he can show them he can put up enough of a fight they will try and cut a deal rather than take over.
@@Narutonarutonaruto85 pretty much, if all the pykes want is to pass through to the trade lane unhindered, or to stop and refuel on tatooine, then boba can get an accommodation. running the whole planet would get expensive, pykes would rather just pay a fee and not deal with all the 'peasants'. but if that is the case, why did they need a train to ship spice? just refuel ship it came in on and leave. something is missing... i also believe the 'trump' card from the flashback scenes will be what does it. as you said "can show them he can put up enough of a fight they will try and cut a deal rather than take over." whatever happens in those flashback scenes will probly be key to making that happen, but the show won't reveal that until last possible moment...
@@jarradscarborough7915 I had assumed they were ether harvesting it or selling it on Tatooine, as I can't think of any reason why they might want to remove it from a ship and put it on a train if they were just going to send it into space again. Even if it had to be refined it would still make more sense to use facilities by the space port rather than sending it through miles of raider territory.
@@Narutonarutonaruto85 agreed. it doesn't make sense, i would not think there would be much of a market on tatooine - too few people. as for harvesting it, that could be very interesting, and i guess can't be ruled out. despite the lack of evidence to support it actually makes the most sense. it explains the presence of the trains, and the presence of the pykes, and why they want tatooine so badly... so most likely: either they have a secret supply of spice on tatooine, and are covering for it as part of their normal trade route, or the writers really wanted a train, and put it in even though it makes no sense (i hope they know what they are doing...)
I thought it was a bit dirty how they went, the tuskan in all black that boarded the train was my fav character and definitely deserved a badass last stand scene

I kind of get it. I mean tat has its own aesthetic. The mod gang would be right at home somewhere like Corellia. That being said, I found the car chase scene ridiculous because of the old beater of a speeder they had. Would think someone in that position would have something a little flashier.

I also really hope Boba gets a better squad. I'm sorry but a bunch of Gen Z looking kids on scooters with some dollar tree cybernetics was not badass at all or worthy of the Fett legacy. I want the Fett from season 2 going all out on storm troopers. I want that Jango style calculated ruthlessness. As Anakin said: aggressive negotiations. I don't want him to turn into Vizsla. But I also don't want a reformed mando following the latest anger management book by Mon Mothma. He needs a crew worthy of the Fett name. Fen is so far the only one. And while some changes are okay, he needs to remember who he is and why he is known across the galaxy.

Multiple times characters have mentioned water on Tatooine; one mention could be viewed as historical background to put the legacy of the Sand People into perspective. But mentioning water twice...I think some type of grotto will be found, possibly containing something that was lost a long time ago. Or just a source of fresh clean water. Unless the Pikes found a vein spice on the planet.
I think they are prime candidates for something to go horribly wrong and the survivors become more serious and seasoned criminals, maybe with Boba becoming a sort of mentor for one of them. At the moment they are just kids blowing whatever money they have on fancy tech and bikes.
Currently only on 0:02 seconds. I remember hearing once that the metal Phrik was present on Tatooine, it’s a lightsaber resistant metal, even stronger than Beskar and Cortosis
I found your channel after watching you on China Uncensored: To Hobbiton and Back Again. That was pretty funny. I just finished this episode of The Book of Boba Fett and enjoyed your insight here. It's cool to know some background on these characters now. Good stuff. I liked and subscribed.
The Pyke Syndicate are actually Tlielaxu there to introduce Sand Trout into Tatooine's ecosystem in the hopes they will grow into Sand Worms for Spice Melange cultivation.
I think the Pykes aren't the real puppeteer here, they are certainly interested in the trade route, and that's their price to get in on going to Tatooine, if i may venture further i think either Admiral Thrawn or Zombie Palpatine are the possible candidates to be pulling strings. As for Palpatine, he needs the route to secure materials for the ships we saw on Ep IX (like it or not it is canon), and Admiral Thrawn seems to have a plan different from the Empire at the end of Rebels, and for what we saw in The Mandalorian, he is rallying forces and allies somehow.
By definition, the truest high ground possible to defend against a determined ground assault is air superiority. Since there is no cover against air strikes on the approach to Boba's palace, somehow Boba needs an air force, and fast. Slave One dropping seismic charges against an exposed ground force would be awesome! Also, Tuskens have shown to be useless against standoff weapons in great numbers. They may pop up from the sand and ambush an assault force but as a standing army they are no good against what off world attackers will bring in (and they are dead meat from the air). Boba will need a lot of firepower if he cannot find a way to stop a Pyke invasion. It will be interesting to see what Favreau will come up with, but a nice callback would be a stash of battle droids Jabba has had in a bunker from way back (think of the cellar scene when the vampire survivors find and arm up in "From Dusk till Dawn") or perhaps Mandorlians that Din and Bo have been rallying for a battle for Mandalore come in to help Boba out when the situation gets dire for their guy. Also ...maybe the fledgling New Republic shows up? Can't wait to see what they do but somehow Boba is gonna have to muster up a lot more friends than just angry Tuskens and some moisture farmers, and fast!
Good analysis as I like the Star Wars economic and political concepts used and the importance of trade routes. I felt the Hutts would benefit by taking over Tatooine because by doing so they would block any alternative free routes and people using either lanes would have to pay tribute giving the Hutts a monopoly. Think of it as a singular country owning the Suez Canal and the Horn of Africa. Either way ships would have to pay for passage to the same entity which ever route they take. Or think of a toll gate place at every corner of all roads that lead to the same place, people would have to pay either way. Similar concepts can be applied to the Hutts owning tatooine
I feel like it's simply just spice. They were running spice when Bobba was running with the Tuskuns. I imagine that there might even be spice on tattoine.
This would be a great time to add the star forge to the tv shows. There's an entire storyline that could be used. Yes it was destroyed but if the empire or anyone could get there hands on the schematics to build a new one it would be a massive power struggle.
idk - I think there's just a lot of questions - and if they don't get answered convincingly it could really hurt the series. Like why did the Pykes fly coach to Tatooine? Why wasn't Boba ready for them at the space port? If they're really using it as a hub - why use suborbital transport at all? There doesn't seem to be any convincing reason to ship spice across the dune sea other than plot convenience. And your point of why the Hutts wouldn't want Tat - doesn't make a whole lot of sense, if they want to force spice through their territory so they can tax it - they either have to kill the alternatives or integrate them. Tatooine has been a backwater forever because there isn't anything on the planet worth anything to anybody. I assumed that Jabba's palace was there because it was out of the way - because there's basically nothing else on the planet. It was a retreat because he wanted it to be one, and he drew on his criminal interstellar empire to build and maintain it.
I feel like Boba might recruit Din Djarin and maybe it’s a stretch but also Bo Katan and a few of her Mandalorian’s to help take down the Pykes or Crimson Dawn or whoever the biggest threat to Bobas empire is.
Din sounds possible but Bo-Karen cares only about herself. She would be happy if Din and Boba or anyone else died in cartel wars, so she could take the darksaber and claim it´s "rightfuly hers". Again.
Hey Alan I am subscribed and have all notifications turned on do you think you could do a video about the backstory of the galactic Star cruiser hotel? Also keep up the great work
I liked the episode and while at first the scooter gang was off-putting they grew on me. Only thing I didn't "like" about the episode was the pacing of the chase scene. Felt like they were going 10 mph.
Personal opinion, but I really preferred the Hutts as the main villains. Somehow hoped Rotta will make an appearance who is probably a teen by now, and asks help from Boba to get rid of the twins.
This! Tyber Zann would be an incredible villain with his association with the Nightsisters, Rancors, and actions that allegedly even scared Jabba and Xizor.

Crimson Dawn?
Would be nice to see prince Xizor and the Black Sun (if he is alive)
Or in S2???
I agree. Early factions of The First Order, maybe?
I love the speculation and the theorizing that the Star Wars universe brings when it comes to stuff like this. Even if none of our predictions/ideas/theories/speculative hypothesis’s come true, it’s still funner than hell to think about.

Did anyone else feel the speeder chase was really slow paced and didn't feel exciting? It was slow and clunky.
Boring, no sense of danger, too many car chase tropes etc. Personally I didn't like the bike gang at all. They belonged in Alita: Battle Angel, not Star Wars.
@@readhistory2023 theyre fucking garbage. It was bad writing, design, and execution. They dont mesh with anything present on the planet and they dont make any sense. Theyre the single worst thing from this series yet
The whole aspect of Boba trying to carve out his own criminal empire and become “Don/Daimyo” is one of the most creative/original ideas Disney has had.
I just feel like they’re wasting a lot of opportunities here.
Let me add a defense Plan for boba:
Since the pykes try to get on Tatooine by PT, it'll be imperative for boba to close up Tatooine's space Ports.
You think Boba Fett, Fennec Shand, two Gomorreans and biker will be able to hold Tatooine's ports?
@@samuelstephen8147 no, I don't. I explained what and why things need to be done.
@@Blackfatrat yes, they can. It's a bad idea though, if you calculate in air attacks and wildlife.

Love the series so far. There's a few things I don't like but overall I approve of the direction the show is going.
i love the mass effect references. two of my favourite sci-fi series
That’s one thing Solo messed up about Kessel!! The air in Legends was barely breathable at all!! You must always wear a O2 supply to get around on the surface!!
I really hope we get to see Jabba's treasure horde in his palace, now that we are there living in it.
doubt there any, lol ,if not they would have already shown it
Another great video as usual, great job sir.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that saw shades of Quadrophenia in that one.
It was the unnecessary amount of mirrors lmao
Could have been the English accents or unnecessarily slow speed of the chase scene. I swear the chase took up half of the episode 🤣
Best episode yet!! Super stoked to see Boba ride a rankor into Tatooine. I dont roll with a litter, i role with the Rankor!!
Even if they were going to put it on a larger ship that would still be done at the same space port.
Well in SWTOR there was some Rakata artifacts so maybe they'll bring some more Legends lore back
Someone's been playing mass effect legendary edition, and I approve heavily
Finally! A useful Star Wars cat on UA-cam. Great interpretation.
I agree, I think Boba will duke it out with the pykes until the season finale when crimson dawn shows up to leave us on a cliffhanger of sorts.

I was hoping bobas tribe of tuskans would help but now I know they're all dead i hope he can unite some other tribes
Wait what they died? That sad
I thought it was a bit dirty how they went, the tuskan in all black that boarded the train was my fav character and definitely deserved a badass last stand scene
I feel like it’s possible that he’ll recruit Din and maybe it’s a stretch to suggest this but maybe also recruit Bo Katan and a few of her Mandalorians as well to fight off whoever the main threat is. In return Fett as a crime lord could back Bo Katans effort to take back Mandalore.

That being said I love older Boba, Fennec is legendary and I hope he gets some guards or troops soon.
I loved Agents of Shield! But i must admit, from 2016 onward, it got so blatantly political its entertainment value suffered a lot because it decided to preach at me instead.
They better make the end of the season worth it with as obviously low budget visuals and extremely slow/meandering pacing.
Yes! I'm not the only one that loves the Mod-Gang Vibe his new Homies have! :D
It be cool to see Qi’ra again. Her character was underrated in solo.
People getting upset about the mod kids is hilarious, go watch American Graffiti. George Lucas would LOVE this aesthetic
And it's not like its out of Star Ward's characteristics. There are plenty of games, comics, and books that feature flashy looking speeders and swoop gangs that fly them.
I heard that the mod kids were inspired by American Graffiti.
I'd really like to see that one, can't find it on streaming
I kind of get it. I mean tat has its own aesthetic. The mod gang would be right at home somewhere like Corellia.
That being said, I found the car chase scene ridiculous because of the old beater of a speeder they had. Would think someone in that position would have something a little flashier.
@@yunofun Yeah, if they threw some dirt on the Mod Swoop Bikes and made the Majordomo's vehicle a bit flashier it may not have garnered that much attention.
Seeing the pykes in the clone wars made me think of cobras as well with a middle eastern vibe, which looked awesome. Even the way they talk sounds almost serpent like and untrustworthy. The ones from the book of boba... not so much. Don't get me wrong I like their design.. until they take off the masks and all I am thinking is gray aliens mixed with fish.
I think that's the point though. He isn't the ruthless bounty hunter. He is a man who has given up his ego and is trying to do right in the underworld, kind of like Vito Corleone, an honorable man in a dishonorable business
@@clanwaddell5628 Still, the aesthetic is really off-putting.
@@derkreuzritter6789 that's personal preference and if the creative team geeked out over it, I would prefer that to the political nonsense KK injected into Stat Wars.
They like their water staying well hydrated is essential.

I think they are prime candidates for something to go horribly wrong and the survivors become more serious and seasoned criminals, maybe with Boba becoming a sort of mentor for one of them. At the moment they are just kids blowing whatever money they have on fancy tech and bikes.

The Pyke Syndicate are actually Tlielaxu there to introduce Sand Trout into Tatooine's ecosystem in the hopes they will grow into Sand Worms for Spice Melange cultivation.
Excellent prognostication.....🤔✌🤘
I'm so glad Alan called those kids the cyberpunks.
Who else is now just inlove with the series bc he got a pet rancor and Danny. Like this is gonna be the best series ever.
Man this video is amazing.
I feel like it's simply just spice. They were running spice when Bobba was running with the Tuskuns. I imagine that there might even be spice on tattoine.
Tatooine was inspired by Dune, so there might be spice: poop of krayt dragons.

They were more like scooter speeders
I'd imagine that the ancient glassing of the planet caused a transformation of minerals into coaxium and spice.
Please make a video where the galactic republic with the jedi attack earth
This would be a great time to add the star forge to the tv shows. There's an entire storyline that could be used. Yes it was destroyed but if the empire or anyone could get there hands on the schematics to build a new one it would be a massive power struggle.
Would be cool if they some how brought in the Zann Consortium, Or just Tyber Zann from legends to fit with the whole criminal underworld.
idk - I think there's just a lot of questions - and if they don't get answered convincingly it could really hurt the series.
I was thinking that this could be the perfect to reintroduce Hondo Ohnaka
Din sounds possible but Bo-Karen cares only about herself. She would be happy if Din and Boba or anyone else died in cartel wars, so she could take the darksaber and claim it´s "rightfuly hers". Again.
Could you Please break in on Friday Night Tights, and explain it to them. What Boba is doing is just Brilliant.
When Boba was going to collect from the Pykes, i was like

Hey Alan I am subscribed and have all notifications turned on do you think you could do a video about the backstory of the galactic Star cruiser hotel? Also keep up the great work
I liked the episode and while at first the scooter gang was off-putting they grew on me. Only thing I didn't "like" about the episode was the pacing of the chase scene. Felt like they were going 10 mph.
Personal opinion, but I really preferred the Hutts as the main villains. Somehow hoped Rotta will make an appearance who is probably a teen by now, and asks help from Boba to get rid of the twins.
Considering that the Sith had some of their outposts on Tatooine, something incredible powerful, such as a Sith holocron.
I still want the Zann Consorrium to be the big bad of the Criminal Underworld.
Worried I'll be dissapointed because we will get no Tyber Zann.
This! Tyber Zann would be an incredible villain with his association with the Nightsisters, Rancors, and actions that allegedly even scared Jabba and Xizor.
