Yeah his memories a hazy when it comes to his past but thing like his desire to keep the peace and order are cemented in warwicks character and behavior. Maybe slight voice line changes that would be nice or a legendary skin with arcane interactions.
@@donhoover23 that's a good point, I never thought about that. Unless it's revealed Singed up the dose by x10 to make Warwick go completely feral, which is still possible because maybe they didn't just want to undo Viktor's work, they wanted to make sure he couldn't be fixed. That's a possibility too. I hope Warwick remembers enough memories for when he was Vander to be bittersweet instead of just hopelessly gone.
Even if it seems like the obvious answer, much like how Powder is Jinx now, and Vi had to accept that, coming to terms with it (even seeming like they'll be sisters again even though Jinx is no longer Powder), Jinx and Vi will have to accept that Vander is going to be Warwick now. Meaning they'll have to accept and live with that. Since Warwick seems to retain memories even in LOL, it doesn't seem like Vander/Warwick will be completely lost. But he'll be almost a new person with hints of Vander, instead of Vander coming back like Vi and Jinx want.
this is totally off topic but it's like the separate identities of ice king and simon (I actually wasn't huge on everyone, mainly Marcy, starting to call him Simon while he's still IK) bc he sums it up best "idk who this Simon guy is but I'm ice king and I think that's ok" (not those words exactly but you get it) the crown will take aspects of its hosts life to incorperate into its personality and what not but it's really not the host anymore
Technically in League, Jinx is still Powder deep down as proven by the "You think I`m crazy? You should see my sister" and "I have the best intentions!", the latter even sounds damn near identical to her tone in Episode 3`s "I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help, I only wanted to help!"
I feel bad for Vander honestly, guy's being essentially tortured for almost a decade in Singed's lab, unable to move constantly in pain. A lesser man would be gone completely. He did came back and was about to be healed (at least mentally). My guess would be he gets one final brain damage from Isha and now his memories don't even make sense, peraps furthering his mutation to his final form due to Singed's work. The show excellently delivers a very posssible happy ending taken away from us.
Vander/Warwick is my new favorite character. Literally every single scene that included him was an absolute banger. The one nitpick I have is that his design is cooler in the games than in the show, but it's comprehensible that they made him look more human so that Jinx and Vi would recognize him.
@6:55 its both. The magma was definitely singe's work. But Vander was partially healed and even had trace amounts of the face mark, but after that victors death, part of Vander died forever (as seen how fully healed ppl turned completely empty). More beast left over than man is what caused the rampage.
Love this video! At the end, I thought Vander’s lava rampage form was because Viktor’s death somehow affected the beast just like the people of the village having strange reactions with the ghostly screaming. It didn’t cross my mind that Singed woke up and injected poor Vander with that serum. I can’t wait to watch Act 3 and see what became of him and everyone else!
1:20 Jinx and Vi are confirmed sisters WAAAAY WAY back when they first came out. Matter of fact, Riot once had the idea that Jinx would be the big sister
What I really hate about the LOL lore is hindsight, Ive seen so many posts cursing Viktor's actions and swearing he is"killing people" because he is a villain in LoL When the show explains absolutely everything, including Salo's lack of breath, Viktor was acting out of pure kindness and purity, and his final monologue reveals it was Jayce's actions that made him believe that humanity must be purged
I dont think that it was jacye's actions but rather that they had a conversation or he touched jacye to see the future of what his arcane caused. It is all too vague to know and we shall see. I think there must have been a pretty clear reason for the events to play out like they did. It is either fate or the glorious evoultion
At one part of season I just felt awful and said along the lines of "this island or continent or whatever; it makes monsters of every character involved. Is this a point in which who they were no longer matters? No past, no future, only the monstrous now." Viktor had become a danger to the point of drawing breath itself, Jayce had seemingly become extremely violent with no care for diplomacy nor collateral damage, Caitlin was a dictator, Vi falling apart at the seams, we all know Vander's fate, and Jinx? One way or another, I didn't see her drawing breath much longer. I was fully expecting all the characters to be monsters by the ending of the show. I'm glad I was mostly wrong.
I think they are implying Warvick had 2 bodies, having been Frankenstein'd. The reason he cant heal Vader is he is too conjoined to his other body which is composed of wolf parts.
When Jayce killed Viktor, it subsequently killed off the entire community he built from the start, and thats mean the part that connected to viktor died too (vandel). Which mean the beast is out, and it merges with what's left of Vander to form what we have here is warwick. There's no alternative here, warwick and viktor already are fixed points in time, jayce just... accelerate what needs to be done.
Also, it is an actual Indian and Arabic name and that`s how it`s pronounced. It means "One who protects" which fits her fate protecting Jinx from Warwick perfectly.
You're wrong one point, It's actually hidden in the lore of league of legends but Vi and Jinx have always been sisters, there's been numerous amount of easter eggs and evidence that points towards it. Only issue was that they didn't want to confirm it for either shock value or just to keep the lore mysterious.
Arcane s1 was really good at helping me connect with characters on a personal level. But season 2 had a lot of things that it could do without That cut into the screen time that could have been used to build necessary connections with characters. Mel should have died so that we didn't have to give her more time and focused on helping us vander/Warwick on a personal level and help us understand where he is in the head. It needed to be focused on as him as a kind of protagonist in a special kind of way. We needed to connect with him on a personal level We needed to connect with Isha on a personal level We needed to have Caitlin become a war lord because too many story blocks gravitated her in that direction for her to care about Vi's father.
@hypnosis0693 Because child died on screen and for no other reason, it is sad because of that surface level attribute that played into her death. "It's brilliant because mute demographic child died" I was given a deliberate narrative reason to be sad when powder was abandoned, but can't have a reason when another character that mirrors her dies. Self sacrifice is not enough because I have no way to understand what's in the characters head. Powder was belittled for being useless by her family while she was also told she was ready. That went places that made me care and emotionally invest. But with Isha there was none if that, And so her death meant nothing to me as an audience.
@@eternaldarkbrin The emotional investment for Isha is her dynamic with Jinx. Jinx was healing from Isha, she grew to care about the kid like she was her own daughter
Only complaint I had is that he didn’t look like a wolf but more like a humanoid rat..maybe they were trying to keep him more “human looking” which is strange because I thought his entire persona was the transformation of a man becoming a beast.

I'm asking myself the same thing. Vander didn't deserve any of this😔❤ At least when he dies at the end of episode 6 because his memories are erased, he knows Vi and Jinx love each other again. Those flash backs were so lazy. they were trying to add emotional layers to a thing while also taking up screen time that could have been building layers elsewhere. The flashbacks needed to be cut out entirely. In fact most of how they introduced the character was awful. Because the show was built on Vanders philosophy. Of witch doesn't get to return with the character in any way. This could have been used to have Vander learn silco's opposing philosophy and arc him better.
@@eternaldarkbrin No as in Vander is already a good character with enough depth as it is. @variantgamer9885 yes it was, from the start, though I'm starting to realize that it's the leadership philosophy that comes into conflict with the warrior Philosophy. Jinx in season 2 seems to be put into a situation where she is forced to adopt the vander/leader world view of "protect family" though its not really dug into very well, you can still see its influence was supposed to be there.
