- We have been hiking all over Norway last year and had to learn the hard way that the right hiking gear matters!
Having wet feet for a whole day is not worth it!
So it might be great to share some insights for you to have a great hiking experience up in the north :)
In the video, I'm going over everything you might need for a day hike. So there is no sleeping/shelter gear included. That might be good for another gear review video. Remember, Norway has pretty much 4 seasons within one day so you might be carrying more than you would expect.
Moving here gave me a whole new perspective on hiking in general so I hope this packing list helps you not to be surprised.

@@tilldaling plan to hike there one day!
Hello Till Daling. I will move to Trondheim in a few weeks from now (I'm Brazilian), and I'm trying to find out what kind of backpack I should buy for everyday life (carry a laptop, books, phone etc). Can you give me any advice on that? I would like something that uses waterproof material. Thanks!
That depends on what you are looking for. I myself have always used a army bag (from second hand army stores. You can get that here quiet frequent. Otherwise if it should be very high quality and the price does not matter, I do like the Heimplanet bag series. The TRANSIT LINE - TRAVEL PACK 34, CASTLEROCK should be fine :) Enjoy moving
How could I let slip this through the cracks? Very informative, Till! ✨
Thanks a lot James, working on 5 more videos on the moment :)

Hopefully, this video can be useful :)
Hello, I would like to ask you about your light brown short. Looks perfect. What kind of brand is it. thank you:)
That should be shaping new tomorrow :)
got a link to that wool shirt?
found this one snjor.no/jostefonni-jaquard-sweater.html
They are pretty often on sale for halve the price in sport outlets in Norway :)
Could you make a video about cost of living in norway
That might be something for the future, for that we first have to find our farm :)
@@tilldaling You lost it?
@@pco1984 😅 find a farm to buy and have an own place 😉
@@tilldaling how far up north are you willing to go? I saw a couple farms around Narvik (and to its northeast) on sale..
@@pco1984 I guess nordland (it’s also much cheaper up there) is max but we are quite picky I guess. Seaside, not directly at the street, neighbours in good distance and preferably hunting rights. So far it was hard to find that on Finn 🙈
tweezers for ticks and first aid, sunglasses, sunscreen....I have never gone fishing, I would like to learn...
Yes :) Not a big fan of sunglasses except in snow :) Fishing is pretty simple
“sweet and salt water” 🧐🧐
welll...
It's how the world is. Be nice but nothing for free from now on. People are very entitled and selfish.
Yes! Many are :) but there are always good people as well
Bro is buying used boots and also €2000 lenses😭
One makes money and is a company expense, the other isn't :)
