Here's my one problem, I always end up making the head too big for the body.
Have you tried getting into Chibi? 😉

Sometimes, i say to myself Hey let's draw something. So i think of some cartoony stuff. For example castle crashers, then i draw in ps cs6 by the background of the cc character on 40 opacity and then i draw outlines then racing some detail, then coloring and stuff. You must choose something. Or it will be shit, just like for me i wanted to draw a cc character and boom! Total bulletin.

I'm currently 14, turning 15 this year, but I only recently became passionate about drawing, and sketching. Still trying to figure out my style, and how I want to do faces, and working on proportions. But I've always drawn, ever since kindergarten i was really interested, but I dropped that when I was around 10. I've picked it back up recently when I was about 13, and I've been really trying to work on my techniques. I'm no where near as good as you were when you were my age, but you seemed to have had a lot more practice. Your videos give me a lot of inspiration & I know I'll be able to get better 😊
I'm in the same boat as you. I recently became passionate about art in 2015 and I'm 14 going on 15. I'm working on proportions for the body and it's so hard.
+Kianna Madden honestly just hang in there, do sketches and drawings and date them, so later on you can see your progress. It's realllllly rewarding (: just keep at it!!💞
+lgbt kiwi I'll have to remember to put dates on it. Whenever I try I do it for the first few drawings then I forget to😂 But thanks. I try not to get discouraged when drawing

I did those... usually. If it's a comic that's like 10 pages long... I say no and go a level down.

She keeps saying "copied" but she means she used a reference, right? Because I don't consider that copying, copying is more like tracing.
+Abby Azrak Using reference is not the same as copying. Copying means you look at it and try to draw it the exact same. Using reference means seeing how something should look, then incorporating that into your art. Then tracing is tracing. They're all different terms.
Idk. I still wouldn't call it copying, just because it's still your own art and copying implies like... cheating, somehow?
Plus usually, when I use a reference, I try to find something that's pretty much exactly what I want to draw, then 'copy' it. It's still my own art, though. I just see things differently, I guess.

+Abby Azrak When I first drew something, I traced it.I traced most of my drawings, but on my 6th (or 7th) I copied it. I'd call 'tracing' cheating but only if you can draw free-hand well. I learnt from tracing, so to me copying was like I knew how to draw but just wanted something draw.
Looking at your art when you were 12/13, my self esteem goes up by a lot because to be honest my drawing level right now is about the same as you were at when you were my age, so I'm really happy seeing how much i can improve when i'm in my early twenties.

You could improve but look at hellbenders for example. You don't need to be amazing at it just have enough passion for what you want to do.

+ZoeSpotsMLP Holy cow! Me too! XD I know beautiful art is created because of skill/experience (even if you have horrible supplies, seriously!) but i cannot help drooling over stuff like copic markers and all the stuff that apparently makes nice art :D It motivates me to own nice markers and paper.

I looked at this about a year ago, and I thought some of those were amazing! (Like the one in the thumbnail) Now, I look at it and say, she has improved.

I’ve seen a lot of comments saying, “she drew better than me when she was young” and I understand why they say that! Ur art WAS and still IS awesome! But these comments make me wonder, do they really try to draw, or do they never think of putting effort on themselves? In my mind when I read those kind of comments, I just think that if they had a lot of effort and spend time on their drawings they would be as good as u are, Baylee! Guys just think about why she is an amazing artist and spend more time with ur artwork!

All I did was draw in highschool! Then for some reason I just stopped just started to pick it up again now that i'm 25 and I must say I regret stopping in the first place I had forgotten how much I enjoyed it. Love all your work it's so great you kept so much of all your older stuff mines all gone from all the moves I made it's all gradually gotten lost I'd love to have loads of things to look back over :)

Am I the only one who slowly started crying when she didn't use the rest of the sketching books? I usually use normal paper but when ever my parents do buy me a proper book I used every singing page, double sided, no space gets wasted

Guys the mikasa drawing That was when she was in 11th grade you're about what 18? And probably she is 23-24 this year she was in 11th grade at 2008? So in the end its not mikasa guys xD my calculating is horrible so im not 100% sure xD It also does look like mikasa too

I have a question for you guys. Is it easier for you to do the lines (anatomy hair expression etc) or colouring them?
I really admire people who take the time to color or pencil-shade an entire A4 or even A3 paper lol. I used to do that when I was younger but by now I'm way too lazy to draw full pics and just sketch stuff or draw single characters.
I looked be watching videos like this. It makes me realise I do have potential, even if I don’t feel like i do

The drawing that was requested was from "Fate Stay Night( Ultimate Blade Works)" , a show that I used to watch.
