You can choose whether or not to drink smoke, do weed,etc. you cannot, however choose to be depressed, upset or have mental health issues. It is something you are born with based off of a neurological and chemical imbalance you did not get to choose that you did not get to check on a sheet whether or not you wanted that as you were being created in your mothers womb OK there is absolutely no shame whatsoever in seeking treatment for mental health issues/going to therapy.
