Hes on about everything except straight edge didnt change his life because its the only life hes known. As easy as it is to say "learn from the mistakes if others so you dont have to make them yourself" is much easier said than done for most people.

I've talked to the band on their Facebook briefly because his vocal style is strange. He didn't always scream like that. Listen to their previous albums Ex-Prayers, Never Home and Native all feature the singer using a more traditional metal scream. On their Dear Diary LP he committed to doing the screams this way and they told me they plan the next few records to be like this. They decided that this type of scream represented their message more accurately and I have to say it definitely makes the content more convincing. It sucks because people will hear this new scream and be like "wtf is that?" without digging deep enough to find that it's a creative decision. \m/

I agree everybody’s entitled to your opinion, but my opinion, is that your opinion in the very last few seconds of this video is complete, utter trash and bullshit there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting therapy/mental health treatment. If you have a serious chemical imbalance that you did not ask to be born with there is a huge difference between choosing to light up a cigarette smoke pot drink a beer have a shot of whiskey or alcohol or liquor, and using that as a coping mechanism, because you have the choice to choose that you do not have a choice to be upset or depressed, or have a mental illness it is not a light switch that you can simply turn on or off everybody including yourself in this planet gets depressed organisms get depressed animals get depressed I would argue that almost every living embodiment of life gets depressed and so for you to say at the end of the video just be stronger get through it. I appreciate you sharing; I listened. Was thinking on how you were pondering on your own vices; using work as an example. As someone maybe in a similar spot; it's been a bit difficult to tell what is a vice. We sleep on beds, we do other things to soothe ourselves. Where does the line draw; and why? (asking universally.) My story: I've been pretty good, but as a gamer weed was something that I found "fun" - but I also began to see the changes in me. I became more of a dick, and began to close out the softer sides of myself. Some think: that: this: is: what they need: to do too.: But I'm here to share; those brief moments of love- are life. Weed makes you feel "good" - because you're siphoning energy from those around you. harming the joy that organic exists. It pushes people away; and tears down your structure of support. I used to think: it would help me get things done. - only to find out none of the rewards go to you, but rather whoever's energy you've siphoned. Even more so, if: that other: is: strong enough to remove themselves from the situation. I still ponder about this whole situation. - because what is the line. and why? Gaming could be seen as something very similar. - I sit in a chair, not very active. Maybe we neglect those around us while we're on the screen. The state or idea of work at all. - unless formed from our own thoughts, desires, and pursuits.
