Woohoo! Congratulations!
Rosie, your bike is a real vehicle! Your new window is such a great accomplishment, it will keep you warm this winter, also it will serve you longer! 🎉
Brilliant, so 137km/charge, by just using it on hills 👍
I Love the bike. That was very kind of them. It will help you in your shoppings around. Give you more independence.😊
You drone footage is incredible, having it hover over you while you pack up the tent, or cycling along the trails. I’ve always enjoyed the aerial views of your cottage & the surrounding forest, but this bike trip was so beautiful. The ebike went so well, I was wondering of the battery would get you home, or if you had to charge it when you came to the small town .. amazing that you didn’t have to. A great review on the bike … and great jib on that window 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
As a Swede, I just love your footage of the forests and the lakes in this film of yours. It's showing the beauty of the Swedish countryside, and how welcoming and inviting it is, thanks to Allemansrätten. You can set up a tent wherever you like for 24 hours, without asking the owner of the property, pick berries and mushrooms, and just enjoy the wildlife. It's remarkable and beautiful, and a lawful right for everyone.
I am so unfamiliar with UA-cam and am visiting my daughter and son in law in China, and as she is away during the days, I started watching UA-cam and stumbled upon your channel quite by chance. I am entranced! Being an avid watcher of home improvement shows on mainstream TV, I can 100% say that the Hollywood posers are just that, they have all the bells and whistles and the contractors doing the actual hard work. You dear Rosie are a natural, not only doing all your own work but your video editing and honest to goodness approach to every little task at hand fills me with pride for you and what you are achieving! I look forward to your future adventures :-)
Rosie, you have mastered filming and editing, it is such a pleasure to watch your videos. The music also is the perfect combination with the images. And you, the way you deal with your work. I don’t understand how you haven’t got millions of subscribers! Thanks for sharing, I almost cry when the video finishes. I can’t wait for the next one (no pressures 😂😂
Yes, her speaking voice, gentle music picks & visionary scenes in every video are all so beautifully mind calming.
I feel the same ...I was an opera singer many years ago and the music in you tube films are so important in relation to the content...Rosie, you are consistently a spot on master in your music/instrumental choices...they are a perfect pairing to your ....well all ur incredibly artistic approach in film and editing and voice overs.. your honestly and realness is so beautiful.. again thankyou for sharing your thoughts, projects, and bespoke life!!!
💖
From all the lovely nature shots to the work on your home and the thoughtful narration…such an enriching, relaxing video. Well done, Rosie!
Thanks Leah!
On old windows, if you first brush linseed oil on the wood panes, the putty will work better. Putty tends to pull oil from old wood, so if you first apply linseed oil before the putty, it will last longer and crack less.
It is just amazing how good you and/or your drone is at filming. For example that morning when you were gathering water from the lake and the drone was zooming out when you returned to the tent or when you wer cycling by the lake and the drone was following you from the side. It is really great footage and I guess it requires a lot of thought, effort and programming the drone.
I agree, it,s amazing 😊
I am totally amazed by this filming. Fabulous
The aerial shots of you on the bike in this Story were superb and astonishing - SO well done, Rosie!
Truly remarkable!
Its been done thousands and thousands of times before, are you really impressed by this?
Who took the aerial shots for you?
@@kattihatt Yes I am impressed. Particularly as she didn't appear to be operating a drone. Any ideas?
@@saffanna4001 they operate by themselves.
Old windows are made of a much better quality wood compared to modern types and are worth restoring if possible.
Anything worth doing is worth doing right. Taking the windows out was a good choice. Have fun with your bike! Thanks to Cyrusher for sending it to her!!
I so love your adventurous spirit, I used to live in the Colorado mtns when I was your age, in a darling little cabin...I could've used your bike back then...I too am renovating my windows, a tough job for my old fingers, but I love to stay busy in my old home and I love decorating it, your home is adorable as is the guest house, you've done a great job...I do miss living in the country...have fun on your next jaunt brave girl...!
Want to say thank w. I suffer from a bit intense anxiety and your videos calm and recenter me like no other. I am grateful for your willingness to bring us along on this grand adventure of yours. Cheers and hugs from the upper left of the US. Bless.
The upper left! Washington state?😀
What a wonderful gift. Oftentimes a break is just what we need to recharge when we are in the middle of a massive project. I've been at my place for 5 years and give you so much credit for what you've accomplished.
same here..!
Dear Rosie, thank you so much for bringing us along on your journey ❤ You have inspired me to try out hiking. So now I am preparing for my first 4 days trip - can’t wait to embark on my first little adventure. Much love from Denmark ❤
I hope you’ll have a wonderful time ❤️❤️❤️
Oh amazing! I hope you have a great experience! Will you be hiking in Denmark or somewhere else?
I will be hiking on the Gendarme Path which is 84 km along the coastline and the border to Germany. It will be my very first hiking trip and also the first time sleeping alone in a tent (well my dog will be there so I don’t get too scared 😉).
And Roaming Wild Rosie makes an appearance. Now back to DIY Rosie.
It can be overwhelming doing everything alone without help. I'm in the same boat but i would never have the courage to renovate on my own. Im lucky to paint a wall. You're an intrepid woman. ❤
Your video came just in time. I was checking few days ago and I was kind a sad there wasn't anything new from you. I love your beautiful soul and brave heart. Truly enjoy what you do. It is is like you are part of my life . Thank you .
Sat here from my living room in Iceland wanting to do exactly what you are doing. Ones travelled all over Sweden back in 1995 and totally fell in love with it. Your content makes me believe that I too can do what you do. Thank you
You should! :D
sitting in my apartment in the hood in New Orleans wishing i could just be in iceland period
@@Junkmailcrusades always welcome
@@wildrosie Thank you, I am going to look into it, its such a magical country I feel.
I am considering a trip to Iceland. Since you live there, could you give me some pointers and information? Thanks.
Just the kind of response any gift giver wants to see...makes giving a true joy. You deserve that gift, Rosie...enjoy!
Hey Rosie! Water your plants at night when evaporation is as small as possible!
Thank you for taking me on your camping trip. It was beautiful and I had a wonderful time. 🌺🌲🌺
Hi Rosie, in my opinion your Garden is great. Its pure nature and this is so damn important for our Environment, for the animals, the insects. In germany we have an association called Natur Garten e.V.. This people create green biotops and oasises in their gardens with the aim to make habitats for living beings with got rare in our nature, because we humans take their natural livingrooms. So I really like your „messy“ Garden and don‘t see it negative, more like a very untouched home Forum Little important companions. And who knows - maybe you will explore meetings with the beautiful, rare ones, that most people won‘t. ;)
I'm so glad to see you working on your sleeping space. The windows turned out great! That bike that was gifted is perfect for your needs and playtime. Enjoy!
Missed you. I look forward to your renovations. Keep your spirits up!❤
Getting awfully good with that drone. Kudos!
She really is!
Good morning Rosie (it's morning where I am) ... it is always a pleasure to get the notification that you've uploaded a new vid ... thanks as always.
The new bike is one I have been looking at - and I know it has a "walk" mode so you can set it to go really slow while you walk beside it to hold it up so you can get out of / into tricky spots so you are not doing all the work yourself pushing etc.
@@-RoamingWildRosie Scammer - get a life
You are the...I mean The most detail...oriented that I have ever seen .... especially for a first timer true inspiration
Wow, technically I have no clue how you film all this. I’m a senior and even though I think of myself as I “with it” senior I wish I had the where with all to be BRAVE like you. You rock and I love being a part of this Utube family. You go girl!!!!
Yeah Rosie, what a blessing to get a electric bike to help you get around, you are doing awesome with your home. Love your videos, keep them coming. It's nice to stop what your doing and take a break from your job and renovating and just get a complete change of scenery, with that you recharge yourself which is so important.
I started binge watching your videos. You really do them well. Editing, scenery and the breaks between working. The joys, the frustrations, the triumphs, the things that don't go to plan, all shared here. You are such an outdoorsy woman and seems nothing can hold you back from achieving your aims. By hook or by crook, you will get there and make it work. You are very determined and focussed and such an inspiration to all. More power to your elbow as the saying goes!
The window looks so much better already. Loved the mini camping trip! And I personally like your garden a little wild like this. 😊
I think the birds will too.
I'm so happy you took a little break. The window looks pretty!
Good job on that window. Everything you do, you do so well. I'm so glad that you got to go on a little adventure trip! What a lovely bike. I'm sure that will make it easier when you have to pick up supplies at the hardware store and have a long hard ride! Kudos to the folks at Cyrusher! Now I wish I had one of those bikes too to go and exploring in my rural area!
Hi Rosie, what you're saying earlier is the planning fallacy. Do remember what's urgent is seldom important and what's important is seldom urgent, that way you can be optimistic but realistic at the same time. It helps if you can look at your ride not as a break but a reward for yourseif and I do the same thing a lot.
Hey! I want to ride your bicycle, I want to ride your bike... thumb's up !
I like this approach!
@@wildrosie i feel good that you do too 😊.
Rosie, could you bring a spare battery with you to double the distance you can travel with the bike? I imagine the battery might be expensive but it would give you even more freedom.
Rosie .. this was worth waiting for. Your artistry shone through from your window rehab to the drone footage and editing. We see only a fraction of the work you do .. but gosh I'm so impressed. Your drone was the best thing you've ever gotten!! Such an added dimension. I wait eagerly for the next instalment 😊
Lovely ride! Thanks for taking us along.
Give yourself some grace regarding the gardens. You're in the middle of creating them. They will be established soon enough. Besides, you live in the midst of beauty ❣️
36:00 some tips:
1) Hold the spatel flat against the glass, tilt it 45 degrees and use the left side edge of it against the paste, doing so cleans up the scrap on the glass at the same time.
2) The chalk-paste you can buy is never nice, to hard / to soft / weird ingredients. Just buy linseed oil and chalk at the paint shop and mix it to the consistence that works best for you.
3) Such a classic window should also be continued by painting it with traditional linseed oil based paint, hence, buy pigments mix with the oil. Be sure to paint over the chalk paste otherwise it will be eaten up by birds.
I've just discovered your videos and I think they are inspirational. Thank you so much! Please please keep making more.
Girl!!! I’m convinced you can do anything! Love the new bike. Outstanding aerial shots!
Beautiful and well crafted storytelling and editing.
Hi Rosie, how lovely to have such a cute bike as a gift, looks sturdy. Enjoy your trips out and be inspired. ❤
I really admire you. Tenacity. Where did you learn all those skills. Obviously you have amazing parents who support you. You are very meticulous. GOD bless
You've been working so hard for so long, it's important to take breaks like this. What you've accomplished during your time at this little house is amazing.
What a wonderful video. You're extremely good at filming nature: your shots are fantastic. The windows are looking amazing. I really look forward to your uploads x
I really like how you took the windows off and restored them. Were these windows ever meant to open? Your grass is becoming a beautiful meadow, beneficial to insects, pollinators and small critters; it’s lovely. I absolutely love your little bike, what fun excursions you will have!
Not your average woman .She is truly amazing
You won't regret doing a thorough job on each window. It would have been much harder to do the insides and then later do the outsides. You may get fewer windows done this season, but if you do all the windows in one room, at least that room will be more comfortable in the winter. And when you're in there, you won't be seeing windows that still need doing. When you're doing a renovation as complete as yours, it gets to be important to have at least one room you can be in where you're free from the overbearing feeling that you NEED to be doing something to fix it. At least one room where you can relax, and pat yourself on the back. So glad for the freedom your little bike gives you!
Thank you Rosie...I needed this reminder this morning. Of life. Of peace and contentment. Of work done well. Of nature's beauty. I found my eyes welling up with tears and longing while watching this.
Thank you 🫂
next time get a wire brush for your drill if it's hard to access
Had not heard of that before, thanks!
Never a dull moment with Rosie❤. Love your videos!❤❤❤❤
Beautiful scenery .Glad you took a break
Yay! An electric bike! I’ve been praying a company would gift you one.
Yes, we all need to get away sometime.
Enjoy yourself, and never feel guilty about that .
❤
Hey, snazzy bike 🏍️!! I miss your earlier upload time on Sunday, not sure if it's deliberate or not but I used to have my Sunday morning coffee and watch your video.. now I am rushing about trying to get tidy before the evening and then feel guilty for stopping. Anyhoo up to you obvs.. 😊 keep going you motivate me too 🧚♀️🦄✌️
I also prefer an earlier upload, but I'm afraid I just don't really manage to get it up here any earlier... I edit on Saturdays and then for example, this video was uploading for 14 hours! So I've given up on a set time haha
@@wildrosie no worries I thought was probably the case. Good luck with the windows they will look great I think, mine are terrible too so you have inspired me cos only one side opens and I want both to open have been thinking about seeing if I could take fixed one out and stick it on hinges, now I might 🤔 I had slight Fawlty towers vibes for some reason when you were taking the window out not sure why, might be b4 your time. "Manwell, Manwell" 😂
The window rehab is a good investment and you did a wonderful job!!!❤
You get a healthy break at construction work.
You can go about your business more easily.
Very necessary for you.
Rosie you did a great job on the window and the bike trip was amazing thank you for sharing and your time love the video and your life.
Congrats for your masterful command of the drone!
If you want to get a meadow garden going but are being defeated by grass roots or runners, the best thing you can do is sow some yellow rattle plant first, as this helps combat too much grass. It actually seems to kill it off and then you can sow your meadow plants seeds. Saw this on a gardening show (Gardeners World UK, advice given by Monty Don presenter and long time gardener). I hope this advice helps going forward.
Water from most Swedish lakes and streams is safe to drink. If you’re unsure, boil it for a bit.
Excellent window repair! Your patience pays off in a clean, neat project.
A delight as usual to see your work, your progress…such a treat…for us so far away.
Rosie, do you ever get afraid? ❤
Wonderful film Rosie..Really missed you last week but what a gift you have given us.
How it's changed over there!..The light is so lovely as are the trees...Awesome and exciting. Thanks!
@@RoamingWildRosie- Hi!...Love what you're doing. I'm a carpenter and I think you are too!
Lovely cinematography, Rosie
So pleased that you can enjoy yourself on the Ovia.
Good job on the windows 👍
Yay you're back!! What a fantastic job on that window. I enjoyed your little trip too...that bike is super cute!
You're in Sweden. There will be picknick tables, firepits and wind shelters all over the place. We like hiking.
this video has turned into one of my favourite videos that you made, i loove that your doing things inside, and those chippy windows, and the new bike for you, i want one too!! and the short trip by the lake, seeing houses, and your camping gear, i watched this video twice❤from sheboygan, wisconsin {x tina} p.s. you need a garden layout plan, and seasonal calendar, and something to cut up the grass with, and to break down the trees, for a fire inside.
Yes, perhaps a gas powered lawn mower and weed eater?
I think Rosie did get a weed eater last yr!!
I love your videos. This one was so beautiful with all the nature footage put with such pretty, slightly haunting music. Well done☺️
I guess you can add some baskets on your bike. I'm sure there are something on the internet. Something like easy removable.
You can use half white vinegar and half water to wash the mold off tall your wood because mold will come through paint.
I would strongly advise you to either think about or wear a crash helmet when exploring rough tracks and woodland on your bike, as you never know what you may come across and cause you to dismount very fast.
Your so deserving of the Electric Bicycle! Congratulations. Now you will be able to go and do more things that are enjoyable. Thanks for sharing. Great job on all your hard work.
Ask Cyrusher if you could get an extra battery. Also, try to find places where you can recharge the battery.
It can be supermarkets, train stations, public buildings, or gas stations whatever.
Just ask them.
Cheers 🙂
Love that you took time to explore! When you work hard that's the thing that rewards your efforts. There needs to be a balance between work and play! So happy you were given this new bike! It's so cute and fits your lifestyle perfectly! Enjoy the next trip as we enjoy your renovation videos! I'm looking forward to seeing some garden content as well!

I enjoyed your littel trip ,like you did .Wonderful the nature and the new bike is perfekt for you
I'm so happy that you started renovating your windows, really nice job there! The bike: would it be possible to elevate the saddle a bit? That looked painful for your quad muscles.
Excellent, the scenery, music, the bike, the windows! Well done!
Rock and roll w the new bike
..I work in colorado in U.S...and it took most of my adult life to find contractors who would give me opportunities to work and learn basic..skills...eventually an entire year long home build...I commend you in your hard work diligence and your creativity...it's obviously in your blood...where there there is a will there is a way !!!!!....do not lose heart sister.
Lesson learned, I hope. Always carry water wherever you go, even if it is just to the market. Any physical activity in the heat requires rehydration. I bought a thermos type of water bottle made of stainless steel and an outer neoprene sleeve. It came with a couple of different types of lids. One with a fold down spout and another screw cap. It holds hot or cold items and I put a trays worth of ice in it in the morning and that keeps the h2o ice cold all day for me. I take it everywhere with me, but I do have a larger volume one, 64oz, jug made of the same materials as me on road trips in my car, or if I am camping. Please keep that in mind. Do you have an Amazon wish list? It would be a good way for your viewers to help you along this journey of yours. You can put down woodworking tools, both hand-powered and electrically powered tools. Gardening tools and items needed. Home decorative items, bed sets, towels, kitchen items, etcetera.
Hi, Rosie! 😄🤚
Hiiiiiii!
Great to see a new video. I enjoyed your camping trip, the area is lovely. Thank you for showing us around and good luck with your further renovations 🙏
Im an old Worry Wart. When i saw you setting up tent i was concerned that White Awesome Bike could be seen so easily, stolen. I was wondering if they make a black weatherproof cover you could zip over it to protect from weather & perhaps not be sooo visable. If bigger tent, you could put INSIDE!! 82 & Love your videos, YOU really could be a Brand because you are so unique in living an Organic life!! You have a Natural Ability to market items that are appealing to many ages. I love the way you make your own clothes, sit on a cover on the grass to eat your healthy lunches prepared so beautifully! You are a Breath of Fresh Air!! ❤grma Nan
Your fat tire bike is so cool, and it must be perfect for you when you are shopping both groceries and building materials. I am so happy for you !! I love your videoes !!
So happy to see you have received such wonderful transportation! Will this make it easier for you to collect your building materials? The windows look so good!
So glad you were able to take a break. This winter you will be ecstatic you finished those windows! It's a pain but well worth it.
It's really something to see your shadow from above in the drone footage. So beautiful and unexpected. 😂
I am so in love with all the drone shots you've been doing!
you soooo deserve that bike rosy...YOU REALy DO.. so happy for ya,')
@RoamingWildRosie- scam alert
I hope that in the future you can get one or different systems to collect rainwater for your garden 🌼🌱💦🍅🌻
Hi Rosie. I'm so happy you were given the bike, its a beauty. I've been thinking you've needed something like this so when you go for supplies, its easier for you and also you can get out and about and see other people. Will you be able to put your trailer on the back? Gosh it is so beautiful now summer is arriving. You'll be able to go swimming too.
You should make a video to explain why you don't need people around. How it seems to be no problem for you to be without human interaction. How many people would be able to do up a cottage alone and without anyone around? I don't mean it as anything negative more like an interesting topic to discuss.
Great video as always! I'm so looking forward to my vacation in Sweden, i plan to go hiking by myself, just nature, woods, lakes and no people😊. Hiking alone is one thing but sleeping in the tent alone in the woods, thats a whole different ball game!😯😯 I will have go by car, since i am afraid i can not do it. Didn't you once adress the issue of sleeping alone in the woods as a woman in a video?? Which one was it? Anyways i always enjoy watching your videos!
What a fabulous gift - you needed that bike for your trips to town in the winter
What a Amazing Company that Cyrusher is to gift 🎁 You such a wonderful Bike 🏍️ excellent
Wonderful camerawork Rosie. You are an excellent film maker.
I love your videos; you never disappoint me. The window turned out beautifully, and I loved the scenery:)
You are going to fly into town and back now.
Hello Rose, you are working so profoundly with so many attention in all what you do. You are an exemple for all women do trust in oneself. Thank so much.
