iPad pro, procreate, Photoshop and sketchbook.
Remember you won't start drawing well on a tablet overnight. Specially if you're not able to do it on actual paper.

Im good on papier i suck on tablet so i sketch on paper first then i take a scan with my printer and start outlining
It really takes a while to get used to draw on something you are not looking, it really involves a good hand-eye coordination. Before I can only do it by drawing on paper and scan it, only then I do the final line art using pen tool and coloring. But this process only allows me to make a cel-shaded arts, not a digital painting style.
Then years after I bought a cheap drawing tablet and took me a while to get used to it. I then have to buy a better ones since some cheap drawing tablets back then tend are not as responsive, they don't feel right, and poor driver support. Nowadays, even lesser known brands are actually good for the most part, but they are not as premium feeling, not as many accessories and have wider support as Wacom does.
Dabio I used to be like that too but it gets easier with practice. Plus I always hated scanning artworks lol!
KornKernel i agree it does take some getting used to. I had a rough time looking at the monitor while the hand was drawing too. How long have you been at it?

I mean that’s a start whenever you master your current tools you may start saving or getting an extra part time job or something in order to get your first tech... go look for second hand stuff maybe then you can start taking commissions and continue saving and soon you will be able to get tour shiny new gadget. You got a phone or tablet? Get a cheap one dollar stylist and I recommend the app ibis paint X its free and works decent and is one of the best portable drawing apps. I really enjoy it and it works kinda similar to things like paint tool sai and what ever :))

You don't need a professional drawing tablet when you just start. Its enogh to have a drawing program on your phone on laptop. You can also buy dollar store drawing tablets that aren't that expensive.

If you're starting out with a tablet, remember to look at the screen when drawing and not at the tablet. It takes a while to get the hand-eye coordination to start drawing where you want to.
*Vincent Lee* Very much true! Also on another note, consistent practice is important! Once you get used to drawing on a tablet, you'll work wonders! But once you go into hiatus, it gets really heard to jump back into your usual rhythm, at least that's how it is for me. Getting used to it again after not drawing for a while gets frustrating >.
i expected it to take ages for me but somehow i got ring of the drawing in just a few days. digital art itself though... that will take a while...

What tools do you use
I really love Procreate, because it has so many helpful tools. Also, my favorite tablet to use is the iPad Gen 14, the screen is fulfilling, and allows you to make strokes with ease.

I love the simplicity of her setup. You don’t need the latest or most expensive tech to make great digital art. I’m a graphic design student so this makes me happy. I’m a big fan of her work btw 😃
I have the Bamboo tablet too and I’ve seen so many people who’ve upgraded and everything and I felt the pressure to upgrade too but thank you for making me feel what I have now is enough and I’m still capable to do a lot with it, even if it’s a little old, it still gets the job done.

You can't run before you can walk you can't walk before you can crawl. Basically learn to draw on paper before digital it makes life easier when you do move on to digital like old mate in the video said she started with pen and paper then moved to digital, although I always start ideas I have on traditional drawing methods before moving to digital, current i'm working on a new character and there's a lot of paper, that's how I work atleast.

@@dikshalakhani1181 i dont think so stylus is like a pencil and an ipad has a wide surface like a paper so you will feel like your doing it on paper but you can do it on your phone with your finger but a stylus and ipad makes it much easier
TIP: you can use the app ibispaintX its free but some of its brushes costs money but if you aren't a profession and wanna draw for fun you don't need those

I’m good at traditional art , I draw cartoonish illustrations really well and ink them and people say it looks printed :D I recently got an iPad and I can’t wait to draw and transfer my skills on it.

Another way to get a touch pen way cheaper is to get a pen with a silicone thing at the end. I have one and I've been using for a very long time.
It's also pretty useful since it's a pen you write with and a pen at the other end to draw with, but digitally.Though I don't know where to buy them.
I have a Note 8 and try to experiment in my notes app. I think a lot of it is just diving in and giving it a go. I never knew how much I could draw until I just went for it and believed in my abilities.

It took me about two days to get used to my tablet. Now I’m drawing really good drawings that I’m really proud of! So excited to keep working and creating! I use an XP pen G430S tablet (mostly used for OSU but drawing is actually easy on it!) and Medibang which is free and really easy to use!
Affinity Designer is a good one too! Have been using it for three years already :D

I use my phone and a stylus pen i bought for 1 dollar. I am an android user so i use Autodesk:Sketchbook app and it fits my needs considering I get most of the features for free. My profile pic is one of my very first digital arts so yeah. U don't need expensive devices to start digital art. Happy Drawing.

I don't know if Dami is the right person to ask for this as her art is really basic sort of? Her comics really sell themselves trough the jokes not the quality of art. Still a good introduction for someone who never did digital art I think.

Thought the same and was seriously surprised they omitted Surface products. I use a Surface Book now after using Wacom for a decade, like a lot of other artists these days. They should be getting some comic book or concept artists on pieces like this. Dami's art is cute but it's hardly taking advantage or pushing the devices and software to really come to any conclusion on what is the best.

This video really helped but I’m really broke so this option is not best for me I love making art and I’ve been making art since I was little and I want to switch to digital art I do make some in my phone but I want something more bigger and that has more option my phone isn’t crazy big so I feel uncomfortable just cuz my hand gets on the way or I drew a line somewhere by accident but I’ll keep looking this video did have a lot of information and it really did help.
Yeah I’m hoping to get one for my birthday I really want a screen one because I have very bad co ordination so I would struggle with one without a screen but they’re so expensive but I’ve found one recently that seems interesting it’s the GAOMON M106K and it’s really good for the price not a screen tablet but great it’s under £100 so it’s great to get started with hope this helps!

It's a nice skill to have! i still can't draw fingers or toes very well, but learning anatomy makes so much sense to art. if you need help, Sycra is a great youtuber that explains how to draw different parts of the body, posing, even shading is explained from 0.

Hey people, I recently bought a Huion HS64 tablet, which was about a 120 bucks but it's on sale on Amazon so you can get it for 50 dollars, it has a pen pressure of more than 8000, it's not so small not so big, just perfect to use with your desktop, and for software, I recommend going for Medibang Paint Pro/Firealpaca or Krita (keep in mind that they are both completely FREE) depending on what you want to draw, the Huion HS64 comes with a pen, extra nibs, a nib tool, a guide and great packaging, you can ask me any questions regarding how to start with art!
