Ms Chris.... my Grandmother's name is Cora. She is deceased. But her spirit always meets me in the kitchen when I cook. That's where we spent much of our time together. Everyone says she lives in me. After watching so many of your videos...she lives through you too. I know these are great recipes because this is how we used to cook in her kitchen. This recipe is very ol skool!! This recipe is the same one that my mom used for years and I every time I ate I had to go take a nap!! True comfort food❤️ Thank you Chris!!
I'm always trying to futher my education on cooking. I watch videos just to see if I can do something different on what I do.already. I swear my wife said is that you in there cooking. Almost same technique and style. Look just like a meal I would do at home. I am in TEXAS Dad from Louisiana. So combination of both states cook up some good meals. Enjoyed your video. Will take time and join your channel and enjoy your other cooking creations.
MY GOSH!!! I made this tonight (10/20/19) and it was unbelievably simple to prepare and ever so tasty! I had several top sirloin steaks that I purchased on sale ($1 off each). Took them all out of the freezer (5 of them), thawed, washed and seasoned (sea salt, cracked black pepper, garlic/onion powder, sweet basil)then floured on all sides. I sauteed in used chicken grease (canola). Removed, then sauteed rough-chopped onions, removed. I had a box of beef broth in the back of my pantry, poured it into the skillet, added the broth and flour slurry (flour and water), brought to a boil, then added the steak and onions back to the gravy. The eats were nothing short of amazing! It was completely ready in under 45 minutes! Thank you, Chris! I literally cherish you and your channel. Next week I'll be doing your rendeition of peaches in crescent rolls. Been dreamin' about them since I watched the video the first time. Again, thank you. You are indeed a gemstone of the highest quality! Proof? Yours are the only chitlins I would try!

I love your Channel. Looking forward to your new videos.
Miss Chris, you be rollin' in this kitchen.

Let me tell you that our meal was delicious.
Thank you again for sharing your recipes.
I just cooked the smothered steak with the onion gravy as part of my Christmas dinner and it was delish. This was my first time making gravy from scratch and I'm never going back. Thanks so much for sharing this. Merry Christmas.
Oh my goodness!!!!!! Watching you takes me back to seeing my mother prep meals for our family. Great job & since I'm thinking about it, I LOVE YOU MOM!!!!! I subscribed to your channel. Keep vids coming please.
Beautiful comment. I love the MOM part. God Bless.
Yes, i dont say it enough. That was a resolution i made for this year. Every time i mention her, i have to say that. :)
I am one of your new subscribers! I enjoy watching and learning from you especially old school style. I have so many questions about my mom's cooking and you have help me to answer those questions. I had older sisters who actually did all of the cooking while I just had to go outside and play and now I'm learning in more details of things that I missed with my mom in the kitchen. I love your Channel. Looking forward to your new videos.
That looked so good, I found myself reaching for the monitor when you held it up...Thank you for posting this video!
looks amazing! and I learned to cram my biscuits tight! I miss having a kitchen.
