    My only complaint when riding the bike was that the mirrors are on the Renthal bars and not the fairing. Small thing but I think fairing mounted mirrors and a better screen (plus decent integral luggage) would make this the perfect bike for my use.

    Nice review man....that engine is a detuned K5 motor and has lighter internals than the original K5. So getting 180+ bhp from that engine would be just a walk in the park. And by the way, that bike produces somewhere around 160 bhp at the crank, and that comes down to be 144-145 bhp at the rear wheel as far as I know....

    Rode one of these today... Great bike except for who's dumb idea was it to give it two 5th gears & no 6th? I just got this annoyance that I often found 5th was a little too low and 6th was a little too high but 6th wasn't high enough to keep you in the peek of that low torque bump at fast dual carriageway speeds.

    It looks like a scooter from the front. You covered all the points well buddy, nice review. I couldn't help but get bothered that you cut to the front facing camera every time you pinned it, would be good to see from the riders view.

    Come on spicy, we need more reviews of scooters and 50cc two stroke and 125cc learner legal bikes, back to the roots. It'll be a laugh...
    Seriously though, see if you can get your hands on a review for a Hyosung GT125, they seem to be the 'larger' sports bike for learner legal range.

      +Aaron Lamb LS650? There's plenty of big-bore bikes out there...

    • @yelmak
      @yelmak 8 років тому

      +Jesse Skye I never said there wasn't, but its quite rare to have more than 300cc per cylinder in any bike that isn't a dirt bike, so virtually all supersports from 600cc up(with some exceptions) and most bikes past 1000cc will be inline 4 or v4

    • @yelmak
      @yelmak 8 років тому

      +Jesse Skye oh and the other exception that a lot of big American cruisers use big v twins with silly amounts of torque that just wouldnt make sense in any other bike

      the gearbox on this bike is so slick you don't need one. match the revs (roughly) and hitch up. It just slots in. I really want the naked version, it's so much more usable than the Z1000 and much cheaper than the Beemer, KTM or Duke.
      As for BHP Suzuki tend to be conservative with their figures. Dyno a Gixxer and it'll more than likely give what the quoted HP is or (more often than not) more, dyno a 1199 Panigale and you might well be disappointed - I know this from real world experience with friends/customer bikes. Suzuki tend to be the only manufacturer to UNDER-sell themselves as far as HP is concerned.
