Reminds me of a story where a dudes dad hit a pr because his friends loaded more on the bar then he knew. He lifted above the plateu. It was all mental.
First video I saw of yours was the (miscalculated) 500lb Bulgarian split squat and you ended it with a Hulk shirt tear while screaming. You've been my favorite person to watch lift ever since.
Nolan Cong I do this all the time it helps so much when I go heavy in squats at 6 reps like at 2 reps I say to myself 1/3 of the way there then at 3 I say half way fuck yeah etc
Hey Eric just wanna let you know, i followed this advice of more consistent jumps in weight for warmups with a couple less warm up sets than usual, and i PR'd today with way less effort than usual.... Thank you!!
Music doesent matter though he said it himself but if theres a genre out there that can move you emotionaly than you can use those emotions for lifting but it shouldnt matter but it helps espacialy when you platau

Craig Pfisterer does this a lot that's where I seen this used a lot. He uses 25s and makes really odd jumps. The dude is insanely strong, the other week he yoke walked 1000lbs and then loaded a 450 atlas stone immediately after with ease.
I have been eating raw garlic for a while now and I genuinely feel better from it. So thank you, Eric.... you have also helped me hit many PRs I love your channel keep it up. One thing I have noticed with the garlic is that if I have it before my coffee then the effects of the coffee are increased because the garlic is making the blood thinner.
on my 4th rep it felt weak felt off felt soft but, the bugez mindset coursed through my mind and the AGGRESSION and ENERGY that was dormant just WOKE ME UP.. 5th rep was a breeze thanks bugez, helped me heaps today.
Reduce the intra-session fatigue by decreasing the work preceding the top set. Spot on! Bugez you should get some of reds for your heavy days. Consistent 2x25kg jumps for the first 3-4 sets, titrate up from there. Not as intense as 100lbs or 50k, but a solid intensity bump over 45lb/20kg.
Russian weightlifters do that small millimetrical increase technique as well, but with a slight difference. The idea is you don't increase every time and you don't PR every time. Hit your 1RM, then train with your rep weight. After a week or however long your cycles are in your program, try to hit a new PR with 20% increments. Repeat.
Hi Eric, it's possible to snap your finger, I have tear my two tumbs while using bands. But it's rare, because it was due to my hyperlaxity. Both tumps get out of their joins with bands pressing on it. Keep the good work
I feel you brother. I have Thumb, finger, and lumbar hyperlaxity + hypermobility of my shoulder joint. My shoulders "dislocate" (which i use loosely because I can move them out of socket at will but it still hurts for days when it goes out without my knowledge) when I push press and used to come out of socket last year when I wrestled. Any way to deal with the thumbs? I've felt them try to pop out of their joints sometimes while lifting.
Perfect timing for me to stumble across this video. I added it to my Eric b playlist last night as a must watch and today I made too big a jump for a PR and failed. Doing B method for just 3 weeks so can't wait to be at a place where I have more experience and have my own method of warms ups down. I think small bumps when getting closer to the PR is the way to go with longer rest times. P.S keep rambling, love it :)
Well, in kg plates we don't have that weight difference, because there are 20 kg plates and 10 kg plates. BUT simply slapping on more 10s instead of changing them for 20s might save some time and energy. Also we could use the 15 kg plates instead of 10s in the beginning of a warm-up and make some bigger jumps too. So the advice might apply, I have to try this, thanks Eric!
Hey mate instead of a dead lift jack you can pull the side of the loaded barbell to a 1kg plate or smth small and you can load the bar with the same plates that way. Your channel is epic btw. Cheers
Jake Hammaker Feelis like it, people at my gym dont squat or deadlift, no variations of those lifts either, they bench but lay flat on it with 135 on the bar
Grip warmup sets are always tough to map out. It's mega rare for me to ever get a PR after a first failed attempt. I think I gotta work on my MINDSETTT.

I benched two reps. And tought, wow i feel like it was harder than last week. After i finished i started making mental maths and noticed the 10kgs increase.
