Nice Stuart ! But if the weight shift is done correctly, the weight shift is moving behind you . Early extension that your showing is too slow . It must happen way faster . The right hip must go deep in the back swing . You need extension. Double Cheers ua-cam.com/video/PGh72Zalbzc/v-deo.html
My early extension starts from 6 iron (neutral path) getting worse into my wedges. Can’t seem to lower my posture (glutes) enough to keep this neutral path into shorter clubs even with the wall drill. Any other technique suggestions/drills or should I fit my lie angles to club path? Eg. flatter wedges? Need a starting point. Thanks in advance, enjoying both channels.
Apologies for long winded question. Path gets further in to out to my wedges with closed club face. Just trying to stay closer to neutral for consistency. The club path video and broom drill are helpful. Appreciate the content you are putting out. Keep up the good work.
FIx your face closed to path issue and your path will balance back to straight; don’t aim to fix the path, waste of time. Reduce the bend first, always. Hope that helps. Best wishes Stu
This is me for sure. Early extender with pushes to hooks, and rarely take a divot. I'll work on this and see if it helps. Would taking swings with my toes slightly uphill also enhance this feeling?
This definitely is good coaching. The box wall setup is quite scary and, for me, I do need to keep more of my weight, at setup, closer to my heel side. I thought that my setup weight should be a little closer to my toe side, but your explanation tells me I was wrong, this confirms that whatever we think will correct a problem in golf, we probably should do the opposite. Cheers.
Really interesting. Thank you. I have learned a lot from the two videos I’ve watched. The other one was about not tucking the right elbow. It’s so different from what you hear everyone else say but I know exactly what you’re talking about. It feels much more natural to not worry about tucking that right elbow in artificially.your advice helped a lot when I went out on the course today.
Fantastic news Matt, really pleased to hear the change of application had a positive impact on your golf. Long may that continue and hope you hang around and watch a few more of my videos, I am confident I may be able to change a few other beliefs along the way. Any questions, feel free to ask. Best wishes Stu 😊
Want to learn more about the right elbow take a look at zacks Ben hogan video the man gives genius golf instruction took me 7 swings of the golf club to strike the ball better than tiger
I didn’t know that weight distribution at set up could have such an impact on the swing. I suffer from pushes and duck hooks but now I’ve got a possible cause and something to work on rather than my normal trial and error and twisting myself in knots.

Hi there, what shape of shot do you hit in the sky; bend left or bend right? Best wishes Stu 😊

Amen brother, glad this helped and gave you some much needed clarity by the sounds of it. Hope the golf is in good shape! Best wishes Stu 😊
I'm not really an early extender but I'm gonna do this for my general awareness anyway. Cool proprioceptive drill! Liked the dramatic intro too Stu!!
Hi Chris - it’s a superb drill for all. Thanks as ever for the wonderful feedback, truly grateful. Best wishes Stu 😊
