Splatoon's design is just absolutely amazing. The gameplay, artstyle, character and world design all combine in one of the most creative, coherent and beautiful game series I've ever seen
Thank Nasahi Nogami for making my favourite game on the Wii U, and one of my favourite game of all time. As a massive Splatoon fan, and is lucky enough to live in London, I'll definitely be checking this out!

I always understood from my own perspective, games take a long time to develop and for some people who might be impatient and stubborn ignorant, just don't wanna understand that for how much hours of developing these people put into it. This is a great way for how Nintendo shows it. Always delivering a perfect product and fun experience for everyone 😁😉

Y'know, I never thought that I would ever like a shooter game, I've never been interested in any of them. THESE 2 BEAUTIFUL GAMES PROVED ME WRONG AND I'M DAMN HAPPY THAT THEY DID! Not only did Splatoon 1 solidify it's place as my 3rd fav game of all, (srry Twilight Princess, at least Wind Waker is still at number 2) it made me open up to some other games I thought I wouldn't like like the FE series, Ratchet n Clank n the B L E S S E D Kid Icarus Uprising! I love both of these precious games (1>2 fite me) AND the heartwarming community that comes along with it!
What a wonderful and well produced video! Its really neat to have so much information of the game while it was in development, thats not something your really see of new AAA titles but splatoon is so open with its process. good stuff

Can we have a proper lobby system? Or at least have it if a friend joins we always end up on the same team? Stopped playing because of this. The game is fun but I don't wanna play against my friends on a team based game
Splatoon is a fun game but isn't enough to justify the yearly subscription in addition to the cost of the game. Even at $25 annually AND with Smash Bros. the subscription is still barely worth it. You'd have to be addicted to either game in order to pay extra, and Smash Bros. is always addictive at first, but that always subsides after a few months, after which it becomes a party game to play with others in real life. So after Smash Bros. fever dies out, is Splatoon 2 a good enough game to pay $110 for just for 2 years of access? I still have an old GBA with Pokemon games lying around if I want to play it. If I had to pay a subscription for that it would have been gone decades ago. This subscription service is going to keep Splatoon from ever becoming mainstream. That I promise.
Doesn't change the fact that Splatoon is boring after 5 minutes, even more boring than Kirby. And Splatoon 2 is basically the first one with some slight changes.

There is a video of a GDC conference where Nogami talks a lot about the Splatoon 2 developmemt for about 45 minutes. Its a very interesting video.
