not for me, but I am also not too worried about getting hurt because whole life has been spent on dirtbikes an BMX/skateboard, I'm a lot better at boarding however because I had one when I lived in a city longeb
This is so crazy. I met you and your friend over a decade ago at the los cerritos 4 block. You asked if you could post me on your twitter because I was a kid and smoked lol.
Whenever I do hop manuals I’m learning that you have to kindof throw you bike foward a bit it helps you land automatically with your body position fully extended back if you throw the bike foward your pretty much already in position without to much effort
I'm decent at manuels lol. I find that the shoes I wear matter a lot. When have on cupsole shoes I have more balance when you pump & lock in your legs. Few days ago started practicing endo to fakie manuals, it's a lot harder but pretty much the same as regular manuals. I really want nose mannys but got smoked a few times learning how to bail
I love it when you guys go back to the Essentials of BMX keep on going great advice help us a lot for us beginners I’m very curious and How to ice pick ?
Bro, Thank You! I'm 5yrs into manuals & I'm lucky if I have A 1/2 court in me, I'm obsessed with them! I just figured out within the last week or two that your posture is so important and you address things in this one that nobody has ever addressed things that I have learned but I had to figure them out over these past five years great video as always I'm going to get at it and I let you know how I do thank you
How did it end up going!?!?? I’m back on these videos I stopped watching bout a year ago but your right for some reason after watching the new courages game of bike I learned where to put my body
I find it's helping me trying to manual on my pegs, not only is it way easier to bail, I been getting a feel for balance. I know it's a completely different thing, but I tried over and over and over and over alternating between my pegs and the pedals. I still need to practice bailing on the pedals but standing on the pegs helps me get more comfortable balancing with the wheel up.
Hey Alfredo, I'm sure you probably already know, but just in case anybody else is wondering, all those odd little specks on the video are caused by dust particles finding their way onto the camera's sensor. This usually happens when swapping out lenses. It's easily solved by using compressed air to gently blast the dust off. You can buy all sorts of fancy pants camera cleaning kit like alcohol wipes, soft brushes, and squeezy air blower things but they're expensive and unnecessary when a turkey baster or small syringe will do the trick of pushing enough air to clear the dust. (DO NOT blow onto the sensor with your mouth, the water vapour in your breath will cause untold trouble) There will be an option somewhere in your camera's menu that will say something like "clean sensor manually" or something to that effect.
@@AlfredoMancuso I’m 36 with a shitty full time job in Oregon so finding time with decent weather is few and far between so when I can’t ride I get my BMX fixes through your channel and others
I have a bad back which equals a weak core. I struggle with manuals. The dexterity part is a struggle. But I was to get them locked in. Also being 47 doesn't help matters. Thanks for the info.
I agree, even when I’m not actually riding riding.....I’m always practicing my manny’s 💯 btw love the channel and the content. I’d love to come to Cali sometime and ride.

Think you should tell older riders to wear helmets too !! Bitch cranking - think i've seen trials riders doing it, but they are going up n down really BIG stuff and their lives kinda would depend on it lol. I need to keep practicing manuals, and probably should get a half link out of my chain to slam the rear a bit more. Struggling with really long TT and CS length bike.
Skull Vs Concrete and Concrete wins everytime. Guys and Gals wear a Helmet. I looped out about 2 weeks ago and for 3 days had a headache and couldn't even focus eyes. You can't plaster your Brain for a few weeks like an arm or leg. Im sorry if I sound like someone sucking the fun out of bmx. I promise you a Helmet is the best investment youll make after a Bike. Peace Out.
For me it took 2 months but might took longer to learn it on different terrain. Its easy to manual on skatepark but its kinda hard to hold when you are doing it on road
@@dorjderemnamsraijav5182 okok thanks for letting me know, ive been trying for the past 4 months but i feel like i barely progressed, but ive mastered bunny hops during the same time, so was just curious on other peoples take on it
The first time I tried a manual I looked outand slammed my head on the ground exactly like you said. I thank God I was wearing a helmet. I also recommend an ass pad. Wear a helmet guys.
I think manuals are easier the taller you are. You don’t have to lift the front wheel up as high. I’m only 5’6 and I need to lift my tire up to about 10 o’clock in order to maintain balance.
For some reason going low and too far back with my butt ruins my manuals, for me staying just behind the seat seems more effective. Weird trick, everyone's different.
I think my weight is making it a little harder. The geometry is so much different than the bikes we rode 20 years ago, it’s stupid easy to just roll straight out on my ass.
@@Fartylipjuice have you tried practicing the bailing so you get over that part and then next move on to trying to get a little further every time once you find the balance point?
@@AlfredoMancuso oh I'm definitely over the being scared point of bailing I'm just so awkwardly tall and gangly that my balance point is so small of a target to hit and get locked in. I can hit just cant seem to sit in to it and lock it in to make it look effortless
I feel like almost every trick on a bmx bike you have to learn how to bail from it first before you can actually land it 👌🏼
Kinda true 🤔

Faaacts. I miss nike 6.0s the stiff soles were dope but they still had decent pedal feel. Almonds were alright too.

how long did it take to master manuals and does pegs make manuals easier
Pegs technically can make manuals more difficult because you could get caught up on them when you bail. It took me a few months to get decent at them

you say keep your arms slightly bent but you have your arms straight elbows fully extended

Does handle bars play a part in this? I have my handle bars forward a bit on my 21in TT subrosa
The seat will feel like it rips your ballbag open if you dont clear it though 😂
What tires are those? Thanks!
