I figured it out in the heat when i first received my 328i (June 5th 2023) but i'm going to get a touch screen DIN Radio with all the features. I'm not a fan of buttons

@@yahya2295 the bluetooth works only for phone calls, you can't listen music from your phone using that bluetooth radio
@@aLLemanio97 hey there 👋 just recently purchased a 2013 bmw x1 that didnt come with Idrive controller and Infotainment system, mine has Bluetooth but im not able to play music 😅 didint know the Bluetooth works only for making phone calls Which kinda sucks 🥶

Work for bmw the last 2 nearly 3 years and I drive an e91 never tried it on my car and excited to try it out in the morning
Hang on mines different. Doesn't have a Bluetooth setting. However when the aux is in anyone else's phone, the bmw connects to my phone and I can control the music !

@@moarli6369 Basically I found out that mine just simply didn't have Bluetooth. I fit a screen in mine about a year ago with built in Bluetooth, but it was mostly to spice up the interior 😏

@@bradmace6144 you can buy a tcu/bluetooth antenna/mic to set up bluetooth factory style, bmw prewired most of these cars so everything is plug and play

@@ishdawgy7706 i figured out that you'd need some 100€ish converter in the trunk that has to get wired, kinda complicated. i just bought a bluetooth transmitter, works out pretty well

My issue is not that i can't connect but I hope you can help anyway. Recently my bluetooth is disconnecting during calls and i'm not sure if its a fuse issue or what. Do you think you could help me with this? Or at least point me in the right direction. Thanks for the video

It depends on what was purchased with your car. Mine did play music. Some do not.

Not all cars had Bluetooth from the factory. It was an option fitted at the dealer. MRT

I think some cars come equipped with the option to play music via Bluetooth and some don’t, mine doesn’t, I can only receive calls via Bluetooth. I’ve bought an aux Bluetooth piece which is gonna arrive from post soon so hoping that does the trick.

@@raight830 Just got it yesterday and it works perfectly. It has about 5 hours battery life though so I’m assuming I’d need to charge the Bluetooth piece for like 30 mins each weekend which is do able! Would recommend

I've got the professional, it's got the phone symbol on the radio and steering wheel but when I click on the menu I only get COMP, CONFIG & PARKED with the fan symbol?

I was able to pair mine but can only use the telephone features. When I use Spotify, it’s still not able to play through Bluetooth. I just get the telephone menu you showed at 3:20. Anyone know how to resolve?
I believe you can't do with Spotify. In order to solve this, you would need an adaptec which connets via USB and 3.5mm jack

Ahh, some of these professional bmw radio's don't have Bluetooth, the label on the radio will verify by the Bluetooth logo, big difference in price also

Bluetooth was a dealer option so it depends on the car. Some have no Bluetooth. Some only do the phone calls. Some do the phone calls and music. Mark’s reviews & tutorials

in my BMW my radio is Called "BMW Business" so i can't listen to music right?
The Bluetooth phone and music were both dealer fitted options so it depends on what your car was fitted with.

@@Cench123 Bluetooth is only for receiving and making phone calls, unfortunately you can't play music through it(you'd need a Bluetooth USB for that)

I had no problem with this, my problem is getting the car to play music from the iPhone. Specifically, Spotify but I've also tried iTunes or whatever they call that now and neither works. If it can send and receive an audio signal through the telephone it seems it should be able to do this but I've tried many times and ready to give up on it. Any idea what I'm missing?
The phone calls and music are different Bluetooth options. Not all cars came with both. They were an option turned on at the dealer and you need the right Bluetooth module. MRT

My 2008 335xi has a bluetooth module in the trunk yet the phone symbol doesn't appear in the radio. I can't get any BT request or anything. I owned a different 2008 335i before and it worked fine. What's going on?
The Bluetooth phone option was an option often fitted at the dealer. Not all cars have it. MRT
If you just see 2 dashes where it says “TEL” you have Bluetooth but the module is faulty, if you replace the module it should work fine
