BMW iDrive Bluetooth & USB iPhone Pair FAIL RANT PLUS Simple Solution

- Quick RANT about pairing . connecting an iPhone with the BMW iDrive system using Bluetooth or the USB connector. Apparently lots of people are having problems, I managed to find a simple solution costing 5quid.
Did you really make this video just to tell people to use an AUX? Cheers mate
I have a 2013 328i x drive with the same screen not the bigger one. I ended up buying a aux to (newer) iphone plug and it works through aux only. I never used the usb because it never worked.
Your a fucking lad. I never thought I would come across someone with this same issue. Just ordered my aux
Just got a 2013 328i and my USB doesn’t work as well. Anyone find the solution? I really don’t want to use an aux.
if you got the same phone as him @least get an iphone 6 (i got one)... i really recommend if the 6s or 7 ... they both still have aux and usb and dont cost $1000 lol and still work just as great as the new iphone

320d F30 bluetooth doesn't offer anything Audio related. Only for receiving calls which I find really odd. My 2005 Audi even had full working Bluetooth (Was retrofitted a while ago)

the new iphone dont have an aux...
but it will work thru usb he just has the oldest iphone possible dont go any lower than a 6

My bluetooth was working fine, but then one day when I wanted to add a new device it would not show the bmw identification number, then I pressed the add new device several times and the identification number showed for a split second and then disappeared. (It glitched) When I pressed it one more it did not show the id number for bluetooth. From then I can not find the solution, so please if you had this problem help!!

AUX is lower quality than usb tho
with usb it also shows the cover art on the screen and you can control the music from the steering wheel and idrive
And have the same problem mines a 2013 328i the aux is shittier

I find aux really annoying on bmws. On my Audi, the AUX sound quality is great (atleast with aftermarket radio coz original one went to deep sleep). I'd like to use the tech that's been around for God knows how long... Bluetooth :)
