@@shakasotho8900It probably means your car didn’t come with it. Like it wasn’t standard in your car. My 2014 BMW only does bluetooth telephone and not audio sadly.

@@denniscallaghan9702 yes only getting it connected with Bluetooth mp3 transmitter, so strange like you spending some money on these fancy cara and only finding out you cant play music without aux cable , Bluetooth never works for media

My bmw asks for a passkey! Yours doesn’t show this?? I can’t find passkey! I watch videos but my car doesn’t have it
Older generations had a card that came with vehicle which had the passkey. You might want to stop by a BMW dealership and have them do a key read and they should be able to retrieve the passkey from the vehicle history.

Depending on the year of your vehicle, it might not be available.

1:53 hi have connected my iPhone to my bmw x6 2013 it shows contact lists but when I go to speaker to call a person it says no contacts also my partners bmw set up for phone when receiving a call you press the phone icon to hear caller and press again to cancel call but my car cancels it when I want to answer it 🤨
The compatibility of a 10-year-old car might not be 100% with the current cell phone software. You could have some conflicts. Might want to stop by the dealership and discuss with them.
Hey so when I connect it to my phone it just ask me for a pass key then after that it starts connecting but it stays like that got a long time is there anyway I can fix this
Put in a digit # when the vehicle asks, put in the same # or the other way around.
Mine never gives me a pin keeps saying try again

I keep getting a message that says I was unsuccessful in my pairing attempt.... And I've done other BMW's before. :(
Sometimes the software in phone & the bmw have problems. If you do a hard reset(hold down both buttons on your apple) that can help.
Turns out the new Iphone6 isn't compatible with the new BMW, I was told by BMW they didn't get the iPhone info any sooner than retail ppl did. On occasion you can still pair one before the software update comes out. With BMW "genius" people's help I was lucky enough to pair mine, they say I was lucky. :)

It means the system does not have the option for audio.
Hi Scott, I have a 2013 BMW 328i and the Bluetooth won't work with multimedia and even the cable connection with the USB port to my phone won't play music and would only charge my phone. I updated the software to the new one using my VIN from BMW's update page. The website says that it should support multimedia Bluetooth and USB audio but after updating mine, it still doesn't work. Is there something I can do to make it work?

+Sidney Idemudia There is a lot of variables with your situation. Your car is a Canadian vehicle, which phone are you using ans what cable are you using. So I'd recommend if you are in Canada to go to your local dealership.
I'm using an iPhone and the iPhone charging cable. I went to the local BMW here and they looked up my car's details using the last 7 digits of its VIN and said the car is not wired for that and I can't get an aftermarket installation. I feel something could be done about it because the downloaded update with my VIN says the software should permit Bluetooth audio and cable.
How do I find the passkey? I just bought a 2014 328i GT? Thanks!

Thanks Scott! I just entered 0000 and it worked! I wish my music hooked up bluetooth ! Is there a way to upgrade the panel to add music and navigation ? Sorry I've never had a BMW and they are so different.
I think you can add the navigation now. Call your local BMW dealer and ask the Service Department.
