You are fucking insane in the best possible way. Professionalism that surpasses the need for formality. I watched this video and followed along in Ableton, and at the end I added onto to it by resampling the output for a couple minutes, then putting that audio clip into a sampler, slowing it down, and chopping it up. I used a few different effects and I'm sure our parameters weren't exactly the same. Sounds very different and still very cool. Probably the coolest thing "I" have ever "made." Your videos make me want to keep tinkering. Very encouraging, and very kind of you to share. You make my life more fun, thank you.
Sending only the loud bits to the reverb with the gate plugin was genius. It's amazing what cool ideas are laying just underneath the fingertips, if only you think outside the box a little bit. Thanks for the inspiration.
This is how you save 10k in modular gear lmao. This is awesome! I love these tutorials. I loved your Digitone tutorial too, it really inspired me to really push myself to really abuse gear and software to the max
I’ve got to admit it, I didn’t see this one going anywhere for the first half or more. I thought, Ned has finely lost it. But then… wow… I can’t believe how well the flanger and beat repeat work together. Out of this world!
Jesus Ned - that was amazing and has given me like a billion ideas! I was getting quite angry when you started the 2nd chain and were gating things - 'Whys he turning it OFF?' - I shoulda trusted you :-) Off to patreon now to DL. Thank you!
What's Ned about it is the Rush! Thankz man, wonderfully idiotic, next I'm heading up to Patreon Page of yours! (not to download the projects but just to be a supporter. These projects are more fun if I make them while ewatching this video, I'm not lazy at all :D :D )
When i adjust the amplitude envelope in the sampler the output doesn't change. Does anyone know why? I keep hearing the original (resampled) drone from the 1st track even though it's off, with no changes in ADSR at all. The sampler track is on and not playing, even tho I've already created a midi clip and hit the play button. Help a noob plz
so effin very cool ! i laughed out loud at those crazy beat repeats LOL, jesus this is the shit. Thank you again for sharing and going into these creative journeys with such ... freedom. Cheers Ned ! I'll definitely redo this one asap - i love to watch them first at the office (thanks boss🖕) and then re-dive into them at home... 🤓
You are genuinely so clever and creative, thank you so much for sharing these sorts of things with us! Always a pleasure to learn new whacky techniques and ideas.
Thank you for the tutorial!! Almost 3 hours, I try to get such a clear and volumetric sound as you got in sampler, but I can't... I repeat everything exactly as in the tutorial, but I get some noisy texture and a flat sound.... 😭
these videos where you use stock effects to make the most insane sounds are genuinely some of my favourite production videos on the internet... thank you mr rush
that's some Monolake shit right there, Robert would be proud!!! btw im looking for a job so i can sub to your patreon, trying to upgrade my mixing game! :)
jw, does vinyl distortion actually modify the audio at all? it seems weird to me that it's an effect plugin when all it seems to do is just add a sound on top of it lol
Awesome tutorial! I followed your instructions and right now I'm having lots of fun experimenting with these racks. You're genius man!! Can you do something for gnarly sound like insects an so?
I just thought of something. What if you made a slew of audio tracks and set the inputs to the individual audio racks (Can you do that?) and hit record. Then you could have tracks of just the beat repeats or just the reverb tails etc. Then you could really cut up and mix to your heart's delight. Can't wait to try later.

Ned is like the evil genius scientist from cartoons but for production. I love it !
"...put a limiter in, that's important so we don't blow up the universe." Hey, I appreciate that!
ned rush videos are always a rollercoaster of volume adjustment
:downloads vcv rack

Ned’s limiter = very unhappy
Mind you, I’m barely 3 minutes in.

Very inspiring work Ned, thank you!
You are comment of the day. Thanks.
Honestly insane!
Pure twisted genius
what is the 'velocity' plug you mentioned for those not on Live 11? Is it a MIDI effect?
Yes. It’s called Velocity.
fucking sick flow you got by the end !
GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
really really cool.
Thx for the video, great one! :) Far out, psychedelic, dimensions, Im in! :D
jw, does vinyl distortion actually modify the audio at all? it seems weird to me that it's an effect plugin when all it seems to do is just add a sound on top of it lol
can't make trip hop without vinyl crackle :)
It can be used as a subtle distortion to an effect chain on an instrument. If you turn it all the way up, it will be more than subtle.
Lovely
brilliant
Wtfffff
This is sick
Jesus.
bruh
TOP!!!
I want to make a big compliment to You, but I don't know how to be original anymore because everyone is saying what I want to say already.
only can say this as soon as I can afford it I will, first time ever, subscribe to your patreon
That gate and reverb trick is REAAAAALLY cool , so musical
Awesome tutorial! I followed your instructions and right now I'm having lots of fun experimenting with these racks. You're genius man!! Can you do something for gnarly sound like insects an so?
That's mind-blowing to me how you treat Ableton like one big complex instrument. Thank you Ned!
Psytrance Producers and Modular Synth users: " Am i a joke to you?"
Amazing, you’re in Eat Static territory here. Dope.
youre a big inspiration for my sound design sessions, ned, thank you so much!
Ned Rush ... you are a fucking hero :).. gotta go out and buy ableton very soon
SICK
hahaha man you're sick! this got me motivated to produce again. cheers!
What a legend. I love the way you describe things and especially how you pick advectives.
A fine example of knowing the tools you are gonna use. Great vid again!

Jesus, that mic is bassy.
Jesus can't help with that one. Sorry.
Sounds like jet engines at the airport:)
Never thought Id say this. But I'm bored of alieny robot beepboops.
Why on earth did you watch this video then?
“I’m bored of Burger King”.
To get harassed by a cheeky UA-camr
Success!

I want to say that I've seen Seed2Stage do exactly what you're talking about. I believe that is possible.
