Very clean and well laid out 67 Ragtop. Indeed, I would install the positraction unit but not the 3.73 gears. 3:55 is about all you will ever need for a cruiser. I would find out what rear you have now and then only add the posi unit with new wheel bearings and seals. You will not be happy with the 3:73's around town. ask me how I know. Your car most likely came from the factory with a 3:08 or a 3:36 diff.
Yeah, talking with my son he thinks I should first find out what gears are in it now, and if they're not worn down, stay with those and just install the posi. I like the way it rides on the highway now at 75-80mph so I might just install the posi. Thanks for the comment.
@@Patrickhp206 you can not drive a positrak on the road. why do you think cars are not sold with it? the car is not going to drive further than the first turn you make. i think you should begin researching this immediately. you can not drive a positrak on the street.
@@jeff_lee69 , "Posi" is a type of GM LSD, it's not like a locked or welded rear or a spool. It's completely fine as a daily driver and for cruising about town.

yer gonna put posi-trak on a street car? reply to this comment when your diff explodes. its as loud as a shotgun btw.
I like to move the back end every once in a while and can't stand the one wheel peel. posi is a must for me. Thanks for the comment.

@jeff_lee69 I’m not installing a true posi. but a Yukon duragrip (LSD) posi. Right now I have an open diff. Thanks for the reply and info.
