While not Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa and Ronald Banks, Alan Lee and Sean T. Krishnan does a fantastic job preforming as Shang Tsung and Quan Chi that they nail the voice tones and sinister personalities of the Deadly Alliance that honestly I want to see more of them, these are villains and sorcerers we love to hate and have a lovable devilish charm.

honestly the latter half of this game felt like a love letter to the franchise as a whole
and I think the last fight was a final sendoff to this whole "time travel" plotline, while also being a funny way of making the two dlc endings canon lol

It was here where the story lost me. Like it kinda lost me with the shang sung reveal cuz goddamnit we just had him in the last game as the villain and it's like really Netherrealm? U gonna throw us all these teases at Onaga at us( since like MKX or 11 i believe mind u with all the character endings ) and the main villain isn't onaga? I hate that he only keeps getting referenced or just tossed in ladder endings. Look no disrespect to shang tsung but we haven't had onaga at this point in almost 2 decades. Not that i wanna wait but if we don't get him in the next game then i give up all hope entirely
