03:11 Mileena shows her innocent side, just because she never knew what technology was. It's just that Johnny Cage's attitude seems too direct with his flirtatious words.
too true. dude outta learn to be polite, she coulda just say eff it and kill him and swap to the dark side for that but nah Mileena seems super chill here in this timeline. More mature and focus than a child minded clone. I honestly liked her change in this game
@@lordjfirebolt yeah. That timeline she was a clone of kitana and she was treated with hate rather than care. Plus this timeline she seems more like a voice of reason than a instigator
One thing I can say, I do actually admire that Shang Tsung and Quan Chi are actually bonding like they're expected to be best friends. In the previous timelines, they were like Edge and Randy Orton. Two egomaniacs, who were shallow asf, yet had so much in common, formed a partnership, and wouldn't hesitate to stab each other in the back, when it came down to being the number 1 guy. So I actually thought it was pretty dope that after witnessing betrayal from his own Titan version of himself, this Shang Tsung is actually disgusted by manipulation and lies. Which is unfortunate because him and Quan Chi were known for that 😂😂.
It's a rather nice twist in the New Era timeline, I must admit. And it's all done without sacrificing how Shang Tsung and Quan Chi are both still evil bastards. They remain as horrible as possible with plenty of horrifying crimes to boot, but are perfectly content with allying with the heroes because Titan Shang's evil plans stand in the way of _their_ evil plans. Definitely refreshing to see when even the worst bad guys are willing to form a truce with the heroes just because there's an even worse person about to stomp all over them. No need to reform or show regret.
@@lancecurry7538 exactly. It adds well to the story that even though Lui Kang started the New Era and gave everybody a fresh start, he still became evil but at least, he made progress by being a loyal bad guy. Great improvement off of the Aftermath story. Like even though Shang Tsung was bound to betray eventually, it was still nice to see that temporary alliance, when it came to having a common enemy. Just like Deception when Raiden, Quan Chi, and Shang Tsung worked together to take on Onaga. Incredible "What If" moments indeed.
It's crazy to think that Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance came out 21 years ago and yet it still feels relevant today like it was only yesterday. Also, Deadly Alliance is closer to the very first Mortal Kombat that came out in 1992 than it is to this game, Mortal Kombat 1.
I really hope we get a Quan Chi kameo soon. I get that he’s confirmed to be a main roster fighter for Kombat Pack 1, but imagine how he will function as a kameo as seen here.
I like how this chapter essentially proves that even Shang Tsung was capable of doing good, just like most of the reformed villains in Liu Kang’s new timeline. He wasn’t entirely correct to say that the sorcerers were still evil as they were
That was all before the timelines split. That would explain why there’s multiple Geras’ now. As for Raiden, honestly I’m glad to see that rule gone, since it was little more than an excuse to throw away Dark Raiden, making him utterly pointless in MK11.
Shang Tsung and Quan Chi were never meant to be sorcerers in this timeline, Liu Kang made it that their lives would be meaningless so they'd never gain the evil powers they had in previous timelines and commit atrocities against the realms. And unlike their previous versions, this version of the Deadly Alliance isn't as experienced or powerful and so their current greatest strength was in their charisma to bring others to their side to fight for their wicked cause.

I love the subtle detail that “Dark Shao” is called Shao Kahn for his fight
The REAL name of the villain we love/hate in the entire MK series.
Best parts of this chapter;
1. Hanzo Hasashi is still Scorpion in Shang Tsung's timeline.
2. Dark Shao is still known as Shao Kahn.
Also Shao Kahn’s war hammer
Also Shang Tsung klassic MK II char select bit music of his win
I like Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's friendship.
*Alliance
They might not actually be friends and might just be acting professional. That was the case in the first two timelines.
The best part was when Shang said "we are the deadly alliance" and then shanged all over the place. This is truly one of the 15 chapters.
dead meme
👎🏾
Very dead
No Earthrealmer, nor Outworlder, nor even a NetherRealmer or Chaosrealmer, can stop this Deadly Alliance!
On that... we agree

I just love the pompous smile they give Shang Tsung.
3:57 Look at that! He is a queen doing her thing!
He was being sarcastic but Kuai Liang took it seriously
Seeing the deadly alliance have their own chapter in this game was such a treat for me.
The way Shang Tsung stabbed Reiko was chilling. He was angry.
Shang Tsung and Quan Chi took Dark Shao's soul to close the portals
Every 60 seconds in Earthrealm a minute passes
Relationship goals
And Shao Kahn was killed once again, but by different people.

Shang Tsung stabbed Dark Reiko on the throat like 9 times Ouch
The only scene in the whole game that made my jaw drop
@@Mster129 If Reiko had a jaw left, he’d drop it too.
reminds me of "28 Stab wounds" 💀
Why did he stabbed Reiko instead of taking his soul?
I really love how Shang Tsung was portrayed in MK1.
He looks younger and more agile than previous counterparts. He had a claw filled with soul eater like tube.

In fact, the Order of Darkness skins for the characters are the same appearances as their Titan Shang counterparts’
Shang Tsung always ssssssssssmilinggggggg with his hoity-toity overconfident voice. " Syzoth, you fooooool. Hmmmmmmmmmm😊😏."

Ok, I know they're bad guys, but the Shang Tsung timeline versions of the characters got some serious drip!
The bad guys always look cooler
4:57 Tomas did a Liu Kang voice!
Wait..I thought Geras was the only one in the whole multiverse, also what about what Raiden said in MK11 about him only existing in one point of time?
Maybe it have to do with past, present, and future?
That was all before the timelines split.
That would explain why there’s multiple Geras’ now.
As for Raiden, honestly I’m glad to see that rule gone, since it was little more than an excuse to throw away Dark Raiden, making him utterly pointless in MK11.
MK 11 was past and present from only one timeline, because only one existed then.
2:20 Warriors from different Timelines
Raiden, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi working together? Déjà vu anyone?
God this story was fucking amazing
Yep. And the DLC story will be too.
I’m Sobbing After Reiko’s Death Now
Dark Reiko
That's the Reiko from Shang Tsung's timeline, the one from Liu Kang's timeline is alive but incarcerated.
Tbh, I think Dark Rain kinda looks like Hydro because of the hair and it would be more accurate if his outfit was blue/indigo.
This isn't the first time Shang had his own Chapter.
Like how kenshi and Ermac/Jarrod have similar powers.
12:50 "Fools, your spell only worked because you surprised me. It won't happen again."
